Harry Potter, the savior of Night City

Chapter 81 Ultimate Creature Riddle

"You can't defeat me!"

Riddle twisted his enormous snake body. Even though he couldn't use magic now, his strong physique, venom, and the petrifying power of his snake eyes had already petrified a group of students. It was a pity they were all wearing special glasses, otherwise he could have killed them directly.

"The Divine Blade is Without a Shadow!"

Professor Snape unleashed his own magic on the basilisk, and invisible blades carved deep marks on its body. But Riddle seemed to feel no pain. Its massive body was a sitting duck on the exposed lawn, and Riddle just kept being that sitting duck.

"Prepare for a volley!" Professor Flitwick, despite his small stature, possessed immense power, especially after Riddle knocked the student down. "First part, prepare!"

Following Professor Flitwick's orders, the students fighting nearby dodged the basilisk's tail lashes and venom, gathering in one direction. However, such a gathering was very risky. Even though their clothes were engraved with protective runes, they were useless against the venom and the basilisk's body. They were knocked down in just this short distance of gathering. Although their lives were not in danger, some of them would suffer from chronic illnesses.

"Flocks of birds, entrusted to Vera."

The remaining movable students finally gathered together, and together they chanted the Bird Spell, turning each bird into a hard steel cone.

"Part Two, get ready!"

After Professors Flitwick, McGonagall, and Sprout blocked the basilisk's venom, the students immediately raised their wands, grabbed the basilisk's backswing, and then shouted in unison:

"A barrage of bullets!"

The steel spikes flew out like bullets, deeply embedding themselves in the basilisk's flesh. Hundreds of steel spikes were deeply embedded in the basilisk's body, some even wedging its bones.

Riddle raised the snake's head, glanced sideways at the professor and students, and began to gather strength in its entire body, ignoring their attacks. Then, the 40-meter-long snake body shot forward, rushing towards the students and professor like a giant truck.

He was like an arrow, incredibly fast. The professors could react in time, but some students couldn't. Instead of dodging, the professors raised their wands and quickly constructed a small, ultimate armor to protect themselves. Although it couldn't stop the basilisk's charge, it at least served as a speed bump.

"Bang!"

The armor was inevitably shattered, and the powerful impact slammed into Professor Flitwick before hitting the students. Even though Professor Flitwick knew that if he were seriously injured, the students and other professors would have a much harder time fighting, he still lunged forward at the sight of the charging snake, wanting to protect his students with his own body.

Unsurprisingly, Professor Flitwick was thrown into the air and slammed hard onto the castle, his chest caved in, his limbs twisted and fractured, and he fell unconscious on the spot.

The students were scattered, and several were thrown to the ground, unable to move. This gave Riddle an opportunity. He devoured the students one by one, like eating bread. No matter how frantically the professors attacked, no matter how angry, devastated, or sad they were, he acted as if he didn't hear them, consuming the immobile students.

"Next, it's my turn to join them." Riddle had eaten his fill, and the last bit of energy the basilisk had lacked had been replenished. He was now in his perfect form, his serpentine body standing tall, the sun shining directly on him. Riddle was bathed in sunlight; he was now the perfect ultimate life form!

Its massive body twisted and turned, completely free of the sluggishness it had shown moments before. The snake seemed to have been reborn, moving at a speed that left a trail of afterimages. If it weren't for a volley of fire, it would be impossible to hit it. Its current fighting style was very simple, but also very effective. It relied on kinetic energy to create enemies everywhere, sending one flying after another.

The students' fighting spirit had been extinguished; now, all they felt was fear, fear of Riddle. Just now, their teacher had been knocked away and was missing, their friends and lovers had been swallowed up like bread by the basilisk, those who saw the basilisk's eyes had been petrified, and those who were sprayed with venom could see the bones beneath their flesh.

Even the students who had undergone actual combat training had only trained for a few months. Now they were completely in disarray. Forget about attacking, even those who could run away without falling down were considered to have strong mental fortitude.

The professors' rhythm was also disrupted. Riddle, who was initially a stationary artillery platform, had now become a high-speed machine, with students running around interfering with them. The professors' attacks were no longer a threat to Riddle at all.

The giant snake was rampaging, and the professor and students were in grave danger. Fortunately, there was still one real trump card to be played.

"Avada Kedavra!"

A beam of green light shot out from the castle and struck the basilisk's body squarely, but just as Dumbledore had expected, it had little effect. Riddle indeed possessed that strange power as well.

"Albus, you've finally come out of your safe house?" Riddle stared intently into Dumbledore's eyes, but Dumbledore seemed unaffected, simply staring back.

"Tom..."

"Shut up!" Riddle suddenly roared in fury, his snake body rising high, his mouth wide open, unleashing a torrent of venom before charging at Dumbledore.

"Vulcan clears the way."

Dumbledore raised his wand, its segments clearly defined, and a massive fire dragon shot out from it, striking Riddle as if in a struggle. The intense heat even vaporized the venom.

"You can't beat me!" Riddle intensified his attack, green power coiling around his body, the bone spurs on his snake-like body increasing again, and the stench penetrating to the soul becoming even more pronounced. Even Dumbledore, dozens of meters away from him, frowned.

As he watched his flames being pushed back by Riddle, Dumbledore sighed. A figure flashed through his mind for a moment, but he shook his head, his eyes hardening as if he had made up his mind.

"I might not be able to beat you right now."

Dumbledore said calmly that the flames that had been clearing the way for the god of fire gradually changed color, from a fiery orange-red to a mesmerizing dark blue, and the flames also changed from ordinary magical flames to Fiery Blaze.

"But I have other support."

"What!" Riddle couldn't believe it. The pain he felt this time was deeper than ever before. These seemingly ordinary blue flames were causing him such pain.

"How is this possible!"

He shouted in disbelief, completely refusing to accept this reality. "I am invincible! I am invincible!"

"I'm sorry, you are not invincible." Dumbledore was quite satisfied with the effect, as it at least proved that these guys with strange powers were not unbeatable.

"Damn it, you old bastard, go to hell!!" Riddle couldn't believe that he, who was invincible in front of so many students and professors, could possibly be defeated by Dumbledore.

Riddle struggled frantically, and Dumbledore continued to increase his magic. The professor, who was still able to fight, also joined in, and together they suppressed Riddle.

"This can't go on, we have to kill him," Dumbledore thought, but he currently had no power to kill this guy, who seemed to be immortal.

Just then, in a place unnoticed by anyone, a small chess piece was thrown at Riddle, and Riddle didn't even feel it.

"Sizzle sizzle sizzle sizzle..."

A golden chainsaw with a handle plunged deep into the snake's body, then shot out from its head and vanished into the air.

"What, what is this?!"

Riddle felt an extreme pain, as if a sun was scorching his heart, and that thing just now felt like a sun running rampant inside his body.

All the strength he had to resist vanished, and the fiery version of the Vulcan's path instantly sent him flying dozens of meters, crashing heavily into the castle. His serpentine body writhed wildly on the ground; he wasn't dead, but he was struggling in a state worse than death.

...

In the area where the students were evacuated, the students were resting on the spot. Ron, who was already asleep, had a glint of gold in his eyes, but because his eyes were closed, no one noticed.
