Harry Potter, the savior of Night City
Chapter 67 He wants you to kill Lockhart
"Professor Lockhart, can you explain what's going on?" In the headmaster's office, Dumbledore was looking at the repulsive Lockhart in front of him.
"Oh, it's nothing, just a bunch of Cornish elves. It's normal that the students didn't notice," Lockhart said with a smile, his face still beaming.
"I don't believe they were just a bunch of Cornish elves." Dumbledore stared at Lockhart with a grim face. "If this happens again, I will have to fire you."
"Don't worry, it won't happen again next time," Lockhart replied casually. (You won't find out.)
"So this incident serves as a warning. I hope you can keep your word and, ideally, fulfill the responsibilities of a professor."
"Don't worry, Principal." (He will definitely turn them into believers of the Mother Goddess.)
Dumbledore watched Lockhart's departing figure, a hint of seriousness creeping into his eyes. Something was wrong with this guy. And it wasn't just him; many things were starting to go wrong. Things were getting out of his control, but there was still hope...
With that thought in mind, he took out a pen and paper, wrote a letter, and had Phoenix Fox deliver it to Snape.
......
Snape's office.
That's right, Harry is in solitary confinement again, this time for cutting an extra 0.1 inches when slicing a fig.
"Professor, what did you call me here for?" Harry asked, speechless as he assisted Snape, watching Snape earnestly throw herbs into a large cauldron.
"If your head isn't already filled with reeds, esteemed Savior, you'll know that the next thing to do is bring the moonstone powder to your old professor, instead of babbling around like a monstrous monster," Snape said, as always, with a cold shoulder.
"Alright, alright." Harry turned to get the medicine. Snape, that guy, would never say anything unless he wanted to.
"What do you think of Professor Lockhart?" Snape asked out of the blue just as Harry brought over the moonstone.
"A stupid word," Harry said succinctly.
"...Hmm..." Snape visibly stiffened, clearly not expecting Harry to be so blunt, but he still agreed with Harry's assessment. Every time he met Lockhart, he was disgusted by Lockhart's flirtatious glances and flying kisses. In particular, he had examined Lockhart's body during Lockhart's interview and even detected a foreign object in his butt. If it weren't for the fact that only he was willing to come, all the professors would be a hundred times unwilling to let him teach.
"What does this have to do with you calling me here?" Harry asked, looking at Snape stirring the saucepan.
"Yes, now, go get the chopped lavender."
"Okay..." Harry turned around and continued to do the hard labor.
"Did you try to hurt him?" Snape's voice rang out again.
Harry took a piece of chopped lavender from the shelf. "I tried it, but he healed instantly."
"Hmm." Snape put the lavender into the pot, stirred the potion with his wand, and finally took a large bottle and poured the potion into it.
"Drink one-tenth at a time, once a day, and then return to solitary confinement." Snape handed the vial to Harry.
"What on earth is this?" Harry frowned, looking at the potion in Snape's hand. "Moonstone, lavender, lacewings... Can this stuff cure insomnia or heal the soul?"
When Snape heard Harry say "heal the soul," his entire demeanor suddenly brightened, and his smile even increased by three pixels.
"It heals the soul." Snape explained patiently, "Those artificial things on your body have put stress on your mind. Soul soothing agents can heal."
"Huh?" Harry didn't react at first, and after a moment of stunned silence, he realized, "You mean, I... I'll become a cyberpsychotic!?"
"If the mental illness you're talking about is the same as the mental illness I'm talking about, then the answer is yes."
Harry looked at the Soul Soothing Potion in his hand, completely unable to believe that he would become a cybernetic psychopath. Just as he was about to ask more questions, Snape interrupted him.
"If you drink it, three courses of treatment will cure you," Snape said. "Next thing, do you think you can kill Lockhart?"
Harry hadn't expected Snape to change the subject so quickly: "If it weren't for that strange power, he'd be a piece of trash."
"Dumbledore wants you to kill him, and then he'll find someone to take his place for a reward of two thousand Galleons."
Harry was taken aback by Dumbledore's idea. How could this old man's thoughts change so quickly? Last semester he was thinking about getting involved here and there, and now he's thinking about hiring a killer?
Harry wanted to ask something more, but Snape took a book and a bag with a Thread Trace charm from the cupboard and handed them to Harry. Then, with a flick of his wrist, Harry, holding the book, the potion, and the bag, was thrown out.
"He's using this trick again."
Harry shook his head helplessly, put the things in his hand into the bag, and would look at them when he got back to his dormitory.
He stood up and walked toward Slytherin's dormitory, but then he spotted a familiar figure.
"What's she doing here?" Harry crouched down, watching Serena stagger as she walked downstairs.
Harry decided to follow, and Trisha activated his night vision, allowing Harry to see everything clearly.
Serena's hair was still frizzy, and she had dark circles under her eyes. She looked like she was completely on the verge of a breakdown. She slowly walked toward the basement, seemingly looking for something.
"Oh, darling, are you lost?"
A disgustingly familiar voice rang out; it was Lockhart. He walked up to Serena, put his hand on her shoulder, and gave her a repulsive smile.
"Damn it!" Harry cursed under his breath. It was Lockhart again. The guy was acting like a complete Jotaro. He was pretending to say that going out at night was wrong, that you should be punished, and that you didn't look well and he would send you "back".
Harry couldn't take it anymore. Sionstein activated, slowing down the flow of time in front of Harry. He couldn't care less about Voldemort now; his main priority was to rescue this child. This Lockhart was not only a slut, but also a beast, just like Jotaro Seifu.
Harry rushed to Serena's side, picked her up, and ran towards the Hufflepuff common room. He used S.A.S.S. three times, placing Serena at the door of the common room before fleeing the scene again.
On the other side, Lockhart stared blankly at Serena as she disappeared, then a smile appeared on his face.
"Speed just like Diagon Alley, that's you, Harry..."
