Harry Potter, the savior of Night City
Chapter 33 Good morning, Night City!
Harry stood up and launched into a tirade against Dumbledore, his vocabulary and the beauty of his words leaving everyone speechless.
Snape looked at Dumbledore with a mocking smile, his eyes revealing undisguised ridicule. Professor McGonagall stared at Harry in shock, her brain racing. The students below were also wide-eyed with disbelief. The entire dining hall was silent as everyone watched the farce unfold, except for the Hufflepuffs, about half of whom were still eating, while the rest were mostly enjoying their food.
Dumbledore stiffened for a moment, then silently covered his face. He hadn't expected that his attempt to save himself some trouble would backfire on Harry. As expected, he had once again treated Harry like an 11-year-old.
He could only look at Harry, his eyes growing deep. Harry's shouts gradually subsided, and Dumbledore's voice rang in Harry's ears.
"Harry, don't do this. Didn't we already give you the Philosopher's Stone?"
"Go to hell! I won that myself. Did your commission include a clause for the magic stone?"
Dumbledore closed his eyes, and after a long while, his voice rang in Harry's ears again.
"Add another 500 Galleons."
"750".
"650, plus a bag with a Seamless Stretch spell."
"Deal." Harry sat down with satisfaction. Dumbledore rubbed his forehead wearily, then smiled, waved to all the students to indicate that there were no problems, and plopped down in a chair, rubbing his stomach because of a slight pain.
The Great Hall was noisy again, but the topic had changed to what Harry and Dumbledore had just been talking about.
Harry got a satisfactory answer and stopped worrying. After the dinner, he handed both keys that Dumbledore had given him to Snape. Yes, he hadn't yet collected the half of the commission that Dumbledore had given him. Snape stared at Harry with murderous eyes, then walked to the fireplace, sprinkled some Floo Powder, shouted "Diagon Alley!", and disappeared from Harry's sight.
Harry sat in Snape's office, showing no intention of leaving. About three hours later, Snape returned, carrying a small cloth bag. With a dark expression, he waved his hand, and Harry felt an invisible force lift him up and throw him away, along with the small cloth bag.
Harry glanced back at the closed wooden door, chuckled, said thank you, opened the bag in his hand, and looked inside. Hmm, a mountain of gold. Satisfied, he closed the bag and headed towards the dormitory.

"So, everything was planned between you and Dumbledore?"
On the train back from summer vacation, Hermione stood with her hands on her hips, looking at Harry, while Ron pressed on Harry's shoulder, ready to pounce.
"Alright, actually, Old Deng has been watching us the whole time, so there won't be any major danger."
"You won't be in any major danger, except you almost died down there?" Ron said with dissatisfaction.
Harry knew his friends were worried about him, so he smiled and didn't argue.
"Harry, your arm..."
Ron also saw Harry's arm, which had its mechanical structure and subcutaneous armor exposed, and Hermione sat down in front of Harry, demanding an explanation.
"Actually, this arm isn't real..."
"Are you disabled?" Ron blurted out as soon as he heard this.
"Get lost, you're the crippled one." Harry punched Ron, then continued explaining, "This thing is called a prosthetic body. It's much stronger than a normal body, as you've all seen." As he spoke, the mantis knife in his hand sprang out. "It makes me stronger, and these armors can even stop bullets and the like. It's incredibly awesome."
He enthusiastically introduced his prosthetic body to Ron and Hermione, completely oblivious to the growing worry in their eyes.
"Harry, you..."
"I'm not actually from your world," Harry interrupted Hermione. "I'm from 2075, or more precisely, 2077 from another world." Harry confessed to Ron and Hermione that the reason he hadn't told them at first was because they thought his prosthetic body was a magical artifact, but now it was because he didn't want to hide it anymore. There was no point in continuing to hide it, and they would find out sooner or later anyway, so it was better to tell them in advance to save a lot of trouble.
"Another, another world?" That's what Ron said.
"2, 2075?" That's what Hermione said.
"Yes, you can ask whatever you want, but you can't tell anyone. Only you, Harry, and the headmaster know about this. In my eyes, you are more important than Dumbledore, really. So, I hope you can keep this as our little secret and keep it safe, okay?" Harry said sincerely, using the same words he used to coax children.
Ron and Hermione were oblivious to the severity of the situation, each swearing a solemn oath, almost as if they were vowing never to break it.
After they calmed down, Ron spoke first.
"Harry, how much cybernetics do you have?"
"Hmm, it's hard to answer, but it should be around 60%. According to you, 60% of my body is made of machines."
"Then, Harry, can you switch your prosthetic body back to a natural one?" Hermione suddenly asked. "Because, when it comes to the body, the natural one is the best..." Harry stared at Hermione, her voice growing softer and softer.
"Well, that's true, but I don't know where my original body parts are anymore." Harry suddenly laughed and said to Hermione, "But if I could find them, I wouldn't pretend to be one, because in Night City, you can't survive without a prosthetic body..."
"But, but..."
"Alright, enough of that. What are your plans for your holidays?" Harry interrupted them, not wanting to continue the conversation.
Ron and Hermione had no choice but to go along with Harry's words.
Time flew by, and the train returned to Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. Harry, Ron, and Hermione walked out of the wall together and arrived at King's Cross Station. Ron easily found his family, and after receiving a breathtaking hug from Madam Molly, Hermione also found her family. The three waved goodbye. Ron and Hermione wanted to make a promise with Harry to write letters to each other, but remembering what Harry had said on the train, they kept quiet.
Harry silently walked off the platform, pushing his luggage, with Hedwig carrying it in his hands. He chuckled and teased Hedwig, then walked into a secluded alley and said something.
"The journey begins!"
As soon as he finished speaking, a white light began to shine from his body, and he tightly gripped his luggage and Hedwig's birdcage.
The white light grew brighter and brighter until it reached a limit, then suddenly disappeared, along with his luggage and Hedwig, as if he had never been there at all.
"Excess souls detected. The monitored souls are not human. The excess monitored souls are intact. Approval granted."
A voice came, but Harry didn't know what it meant. His eyes were filled with white light, and his head was spinning. When he came to his senses, his feet were already on the ground.
"Harry! My dear child, how are you doing?"
A familiar voice reached his ears, and Harry opened his eyes to find the priest standing beside him, supporting him.
"I'm fine, Dad." Harry put his luggage and birdcage on the ground and gave the priest a big hug.
"Be careful, your back isn't as strong as mine."
The priest smiled and said, then turned to look at the luggage and Hedwig beside him, and said,
"It seems you've been through a lot. Would you like to have a good talk with me?"
Harry nodded, only then noticing that his body had returned to that of a 16-year-old, and his new wizard robes were torn to shreds.
The priest naturally saw it. "Alright, throw away your tattered clothes. Your room has always been cleaned. Come and tell me what happened."
Harry readily agreed.
------
The next day, Harry woke up naturally. He had talked with the priest until two or three in the morning the day before. He got up, took out a shirt and a black short-sleeved jacket from the closet with a hexagonal protrusion on the shoulder, and put on a pair of black trousers. He went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. He still looked the same as before. His blue-purple hair was slanted to one side, his green prosthetic eye sat quietly in its socket, and his gold diamond-shaped earrings were on his ears. The cross that the priest had given him hung quietly around his neck.
Harry walked out of the room, not downstairs, but to the rooftop. He pushed open the door and smelled the familiar scent, but after a year in the wizarding world, it was a bit pungent.
Factory fumes, stench-filled garbage, rotting corpses, tasteless synthetic meat, and the smell of cheap liquor carelessly dumped on the roadside mingled together. The endless, cacophony of shouts, songs, and gunshots assaulted everyone's ears. Looking down the street, one saw homeless people wearing Mewtwo headbands and cups, lying on the ground in a drunken stupor; sick orphans scavenging leftovers and trash by garbage cans; low-class dolls standing on the street hoping for customers; low-level company employees rushing to meet deadlines; gang members shooting at police cars chasing them from the NCPD; company dogs leisurely driving luxury cars and smoking cigarettes; and luxurious hovercars and wounded groups occasionally flying overhead. All of this, from the hundreds-of-meters-high Aragaki Tower to the homeless's huts crammed with mattresses, created a surreal scene...
"Ugh, it's still the same damn thing, nothing's changed."
