Harry Potter, the savior of Night City

Chapter 32 has finally come to an end.

Harry floated in the air and was taken to the school hospital by Dumbledore. As expected, Ron and Hermione were on either side of Harry's bed. Ron was brought by Dumbledore, while Hermione was forcibly brought by Dumbledore after explaining the situation to Professor McGonagall.

"Alright, Harry, get some rest. I'll discuss the rest with you in a few days."

After speaking to Harry, Dumbledore walked straight out of the school hospital. Harry didn't care; he was indeed tired. The battle with Voldemort required him to constantly dodge, which was different from fighting gangs in Night City. In Night City, he could rely on his subcutaneous armor and alloy skeleton to withstand bullets and rush to the enemy before sending him to meet his maker with a shotgun blast. But Voldemort was like a man carrying a tank, firing tank shells—the kind that kills you instantly.

Harry placed the folded Yinglong on the bedside table, half-reclined on the bed, and took out the Philosopher's Stone from his pocket. From the outside, it looked like an ordinary red jade stone, but the longing coming from the AI-connected soul indicated that this thing was indeed extraordinary.

"Harry, are you alright? Are you okay? Did Quirrell hurt you? And..."

Just as Harry was about to continue examining the Philosopher's Stone, a familiar barrage of questions came from the bed to his left. He turned his head and, as expected, it was Hermione. She was sitting up straight, facing Harry, asking him with concern.

"Don't worry, I'm fine." Harry reassured Hermione, although the tattered wizard's robe he had placed aside wasn't much of a convincing sign.

Hermione, of course, didn't believe it at all. Just as she was about to ask more questions, Harry immediately took out the Philosopher's Stone, trying to distract Hermione. Unfortunately, his usual method of distraction failed this time. Hermione just stared at Harry quietly. Helpless, Harry could only recount the whole process of confronting Voldemort, but he didn't mention the particularly dangerous parts, so as not to make her ask any more questions.

"Voldemort!" Hermione exclaimed. "Quirok has Voldemort on him?! Oh, Harry, good heavens, I thought you... oh good heavens..."

They didn't talk for long, mainly because Madam Pomfrey arrived. As soon as she entered the room, she forcibly pinned Harry and Hermione to the bed, drew their curtains, and gave each of them a bottle of potion.

"Alright, sir and madam, you can talk after you're discharged. Now, you need to rest, understand?" Mrs. Pomfrey said to them, hands on her hips. She walked out of the room, saying to those inside before closing the door, "Keep quiet, thank you."

Harry looked at the potion in his hand, pulled out the stopper, and a strong smell hit him right in the head. It was definitely Snape's special potion. Couldn't this guy brew the potion a little better?

Harry didn't have any pain-blocking prosthetics, so he had no choice but to pinch his nose and drink it all down. The potion poured into Harry's body, and the sour, bitter, spicy... all sorts of tastes made Harry's face contort. He never imagined that someone could brew such a terrible potion.

"Holy shit..."

However, the effect was immediate. Before Harry could finish his curse, he felt a strong wave of drowsiness wash over him. He tilted his head to the side and fell asleep on the pillow without even taking off his glasses.

------

"Um......"

After an unknown amount of time, Harry slowly woke up. He reached out and pulled back the curtains. Ron and Hermione's beds were empty. He shook his head to clear his head.

"How long have I been asleep? Why is everyone gone?"

He clutched his head, but his mind was still foggy. Just then, a glass of water was handed to him. Harry took the water, gulped it down, and instantly felt much more awake. "Thank you," he said, turning his head toward the direction from which the water had been handed to him, only to be startled by the person who brought it.

"You're welcome, Harry."

The man looked at Harry with a smile. Yes, it was Dumbledore again. He was sitting by Harry's bedside, holding the water glass that Harry had finished drinking from.

"You've slept for three days already. This medicine can only force someone to sleep for one day at most. It seems you're really exhausted."

"Has it been three days already?" Harry muttered, then looked up at Dumbledore expressionlessly. "I almost died down there, and you just stood there watching?"

"Oh, you've misunderstood me, Harry. I really recognized your abilities back then, and..." Dumbledore glanced at the Philosopher's Stone and said, "And didn't you just prove yourself?"

"What about my service fee?"

"Don't worry, just get dressed and come to the auditorium. You'll be satisfied."

Harry glanced at Dumbledore with some skepticism, indicating that he knew, and then began to change into the new robes that Dumbledore had brought him.

------

Harry had just changed his clothes and stepped out of the school hospital when Madam Pomfrey immediately caught up with him to examine him. Only after confirming that there were no problems did she let him leave.

When he entered the Great Hall, it was already full of people. The high ceiling was decorated with silver and green ornaments representing Slytherin, and a huge banner of Slytherin hung on the wall behind the main seating area.

As soon as Harry walked in, the Great Hall fell silent. It seemed that their deeds had spread far and wide, and everyone knew about them now. Harry didn't care about that and went straight to sit down in the only empty seat in Slytherin, next to Draco. Draco's trembling wasn't as obvious as before, but he still didn't dare to look Harry in the eye.

Just after Harry sat down, Dumbledore arrived with a smile.

"Another year has passed!" Dumbledore said cheerfully, raising his hands. "Before you all enjoy the delicious food, I hope you'll hear a few words from this old man."

He paused, and only continued after the auditorium had completely fallen silent, "Now, we should be at the Academy Cup awards ceremony. As far as I know, the scores for each academy are as follows:"

Fourth place, Hufflepuff, 352 points

Third place, Gryffindor, 421 points

Second place, Ravenclaw, 426 points

First place, Slytherin, 472 points.

A thunderous cheer and stomping erupted from the Slytherin table. This scene was not at all like the proper etiquette expected of so-called nobles; rather, it resembled a group of street thugs celebrating and playing a trick on the NCPD.

"Yes, you did very well, but because of some recent events, I have some extra points to add."

The Great Hall fell silent again, everyone waiting for Dumbledore to award points, except for Hufflepuff, who hoped Dumbledore would finish speaking quickly so they could start eating soon.

"First, there's Mr. Ron Weasley."

Harry could see Ron's face, which was flushed red, even through several tables.

"He played the most brilliant game of chess in the history of Hogwarts, I'd add fifty points to his score!"

The cheers from Gryffindor were louder than the combined cheers from the other three houses, and Percy could be heard boasting about his brother from a great distance.

Once things quieted down, Dumbledore continued with the second point.

"Secondly, there's Miss Hermione Granger. Her calm reasoning in the face of flames earns her an extra fifty points from Gryffindor!"

The deafening cheers from Gryffindor erupted again, and Hermione buried her head in her arms, probably too excited and shy.

"Third, Mr. Neville Longbottom! It's not easy for him to stand up for himself in front of his friends, so I'll add twenty points to his score!"

Neville looked on in disbelief. The timidity on his face was gone, and there was no obvious shyness, only ecstatic joy after he realized what had happened.

"Finally, Harry Potter!!"

The Great Hall fell silent instantly, and everyone in Slytherin looked at Dumbledore with great anticipation.

"He demonstrated fearless courage and formidable strength, as well as his unwavering commitment to justice. For this, I would have added fifty points, but for certain reasons, I will add one hundred and one hundred points!"

The noise was deafening. Malfoy even hugged Harry happily, but Harry just sat there dumbfounded, his brain's CPU constantly loading.

Now, Gryffindor has 541 points and Slytherin has 582 points. Although the House Cup still belongs to Slytherin, the cheers from Gryffindor are louder than those from Slytherin.

"Alright, now, eat!"

Dumbledore smiled and waved his hand, and delicious food was spread all over the table. Everyone began to eat heartily, while Harry was still thinking.

Draco, mustering his courage, shook Harry to signal that he could eat. Harry snapped out of his daze, nodded to Draco, then abruptly stood up and shouted angrily at Dumbledore:

"Damn it, I almost died there! You old bastard, you think adding some points is enough?!"

Dumbledore froze for a moment, while Snape's lips curled into a mocking smile as he looked at Dumbledore.

Um, the Night City scenes start tomorrow. If you want a longer Night City segment, comment with "1". If you want a shorter one, comment with "2". I'll see how many people want to see cyberpunk scenes and decide whether to write a longer or shorter segment. (This paragraph is not included in the total word count.)
