Harry Potter, the savior of Night City

Chapter 2 Active Shuttle Begins

"Has our stealth prodigy finally fallen?"

"How could I possibly be infected? But this time it might be a virus."

Harry walked to the operating chair and lay down. "I injected a virus into a mainframe on Sixth Street, and ever since then, there's been a line of text on my prosthetic eye that I suspect is a virus."

Victor walked over and held the surgical exoskeleton in his hand toward Harry's eye socket. "It might be dark for a while, so I'll give you a full prosthetic check."

"Thanks, Lao Wei. Could you help me replace the four-phase power supply with the Sinweistein spine later? I feel like hacking isn't really my thing."

"Terrifying cybernetic capacity." Old Wei exclaimed. "Well, with that combat cybernetic body of yours, you still want to be a mercenary? If it weren't for your physique, I really wouldn't believe you're only sixteen years old."

Victor extended the exoskeleton toward Harry's eyes. "It might be dark for a while." He removed Harry's Crossroads and connected it to the diagnostic console for analysis. "No problem, it's probably something else." He then took an anesthetic needle from the shelf and injected it into Harry's body. Afterward, he carefully removed the Quad-Phase Ripple Type III from behind Harry's ear and connected it to the console.

"There's no virus either."

Victor was completely baffled. He then began to disassemble Harry's synapse accelerator, reaction coordinator, and even the Mantis Knife, but still found no problem.

"Could it be that my machine is broken?"

After five hours of repeated checks and adjustments, they still couldn't find the problem. They could only reassemble Harry and replace the four-phase ripple generator with S.A.W.S.A.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't find any problem." Old Vil sat down apologetically in front of Harry.

"Okay, it's alright, I guess I was just hallucinating," Harry said, looking at the "Travel Energy Full" sign at the corner of his eye.

After leaving Old Man Vieux's clinic, Harry lost all interest in going to the pub. He bought a bottle of Bennett's and headed towards the priest.

As soon as the door opened, a sharp-eyed gang member immediately exclaimed, "Oh, our Holy Son is back?"

"Hmm, Henry, is Dad home?"

The man called Henry pointed to a room upstairs. "The priest is in the old room."

"Thanks." Harry walked upstairs to the second floor, pushed open the door, and saw the priest sitting behind the table drinking hot tea.

"Dad, I'm back." He said, hanging the Lexington on the gun rack on the wall.

"You didn't use my name to go drinking in the afterlife today?" The priest was slightly surprised, then seemed to realize something and said, "Tell me, did you cause trouble or something happened?"

Harry said, utterly exasperated, "Dad, is that how you see me?"

The priest stared at Harry without saying a word.

Harry felt uneasy under the priest's gaze and gave in. "Okay, actually, it seems like I've been infected with some really powerful virus in my eyes. Old V can't figure it out either. I'm afraid I'm going to die right now, so I came to you."

The priest put down his teacup, sat up straight, and asked, "What exactly is it like? Describe it in detail."

"Actually, it's nothing. It's just that I've been seeing a line of text in my eyes that says something about the 'travel energy being full'."

The priest was silent for a moment, then pulled a submachine gun from under the table that looked extremely similar to the classic submachine gun and threw it into Harry's arms. "This gun is called Yinglong. It's from the Comtau Company. A bunch of thugs from Haywood stole the blueprints for this thing, and I had someone build it. Now, it's yours."

Harry, looking completely bewildered, clutched the gun. "Dad, what's wrong?"

"That teleportation energy is software I added for you. If you don't believe me, try teleporting now."

Harry, unsuspecting, "traveled between places."

"Preparing to teleport. This teleportation can carry a maximum of one soul. Excess soul fragments detected. Initiating elimination. Soul fragment elimination complete. Three, two, one. Teleportation begins."

"Hey, hey, what on earth is going on...?" Harry looked at the white light emanating from his body, and before he could finish speaking, he disappeared from the room.

"Good luck, my child." The priest pulled out the letter that had been on Harry's blanket from his pocket. The last sentence, written in striking blue, read: "When words appear in his eyes, it will be time for him to fulfill the mission God has given him, to utter the words 'Begin the journey,' this is his destiny..."

August 25, 1991, Privet Road.

A flash of white light, and Harry fell from the air to the ground.

"Where the hell did I get here? Is this still Night City?" Harry clutched the Yinglong to his chest, looking around. Just then, a man brushed past him. Harry looked up at the man, then down at himself, and that's when he realized...

"How did I get so small?"

Yes, Harry, who was originally at least 1.9 meters tall after getting his prosthetic body, is now only about 1.5 meters tall, but fortunately, the prosthetic body is still usable.

Just as Harry was intently examining his prosthetic body, an owl carrying a letter suddenly rammed its beak into Harry's head. This startled Harry, who was still on guard, and he instantly raised Yinglong and pulled the trigger. A burst of bullets carrying electricity flew towards the owl. The owl tried to fly away the moment Harry raised the gun, but it couldn't dodge the gun's intelligent aiming system and was riddled with bullets.

Harry stepped forward and stared at the owl, riddled with bullets and charred by electricity, lost in thought.

"Alive? Alive?" Having lived in Night City for fifteen years, Harry had never seen any animals other than cockroaches, rats, and cats, so he had no idea what this thing in front of him was.

Harry crouched down and suddenly noticed that next to the owl's corpse, the letter it had delivered was completely undamaged, not even a speck of dust on it. Harry picked up the letter, opened it, and pulled out the paper:

Dear Mr. Potter

We are pleased to inform you that you have been admitted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Enclosed is a list of required books and equipment. The term begins on September 1st. However, since you have not yet replied, we will be sending Mr. Hagrid, the Keeper of the Hogwarts Game Fields, to guide you.

Vice Principal Minerva McGonagall

"What the hell is this? What kind of magic school?" Harry thought of the hackers in Night City, who were called cyber wizards. "Could it be a hacker academy?"

As Harry pondered this, he noticed a line of small print appearing in the corner of his prosthetic eye.

"August 25, 1991, Privet Road, Surrey, England, current shuttle energy 0.1%"

"..."

After a deafening silence, Harry looked up at the houses around him, then at the old cars on the road, and finally at the dead owl in front of him. He slowly stood up and shouted:

"Grass!!!"

People on the street were drawn to him, giving him strange looks, then noticing the gun in his arms, they quickly wrapped their clothes tighter and walked away.

Harry shoved the gun back into his pocket and wandered aimlessly through the streets. After "friendly" asking a few passersby, he finally accepted that he had been transported back to 1991, which also meant that he was now completely broke.

"Dad, you've really screwed me over."

Harry can only hope that the so-called magic school will actually send someone to pick him up. Whether those guys are lying or not, as long as Harry doesn't have to rob them, everything is fine. Harry likes to have the other person's head blown off before taking their valuables, but he doesn't like to take a gun and rob them.

"Hey Harry, I've been looking for you for days! I never expected to find you here." Just as Harry was having a headache, a loud and honest voice rang out behind him.

"Who!" Harry turned around and was immediately stunned. The guy in front of him was even more muscular than the Animals Gang. Even though he had a憨厚厚 (honest and simple) smile, Harry had to admit that he didn't get along with the Animals Gang, so much so that he now looked at all the tough guys he didn't know with suspicion.

Thinking of this, Harry activated Sianwis, his mantis knife popped out of his arm, and he spun around and dashed behind the man. Using the man's outstretched arm as a fulcrum, he landed on the man's neck, pressing the mantis knife across his neck and drawing a line of blood.

"Who are you? Why do you know me? What is your purpose?"

"Hey, hey, hey, Harry, don't get excited." Hagrid slowly crouched down, reaching out to touch the Mantis Blade, only to be burned by the heat-infused blade. He quickly pulled his hand away; the wound on his neck felt like it was being roasted, and Hagrid couldn't bear it any longer. "Hagrid, it's me, Hagrid, the gamekeeper from Hogwarts. I'm here to pick you up."

"How can you prove it?"

"I have a letter from Headmaster Dumbledore." Hagrid took the letter out of his pocket. Harry took the letter, glanced at it briefly, and then saw a familiar name on the acceptance letter, "Minerva McGonagall." Only then did he believe what Hagrid said, put away the mantis knife, and jumped off Hagrid's neck.

"Sorry," Harry said insincerely.

Hagrid stood up, touched his neck, took a small white bottle from his pocket, uncorked it, and dripped it onto the wound on his neck. The wound healed right before Harry's widening eyes.

"This is good stuff!" Harry was already plotting how to trick this seemingly not-so-bright big guy into giving it to him.

"Merlin's lace panties, Harry, you really startled me. I never thought you'd become so... cautious." Hagrid's large, fan-like hand reached for Harry's head, but Harry nimbly dodged it. Hagrid reluctantly withdrew his hand. "Alright, alright, Harry, we still have a lot to do. School starts soon, and we need to go to Diagon Alley to buy things today. Do you still have that supplementary form from the acceptance letter?"

Hagrid wanted to ask Harry about his body, especially about the blades protruding from his arms, but before he could even open his mouth, a touch of blue entered his brain, and in an instant, Hagrid thought it made perfect sense for blades to protrude from a person's arms.

"You mean this?" Harry handed the form to Hagrid, who glanced at it and then stuffed it into his pocket. "We're not close to Diagon Alley right now. I remember those Muggles have something, some kind of underground train, I think? We can take that."

"Are you talking about the subway? But I don't have any money on me right now, so I can't take the subway."

"Then there's only one way left." Hagrid walked to the side of the street, raising his pink umbrella, and with a whoosh, a blue bus stopped in front of them as if it had teleported. A man with freckles stepped off.

"Knight Bus, where are you two headed?"

"Break the Cauldron Bar".

"Each person gets 11 Xicos, 14 Xicos can get you a hot chocolate, and 15 Xicos can get you a thermos and a toothbrush. You can choose the color."

"No need, Harry, come on over," Hagrid said, pulling out some money from his pocket and handing it over while beckoning the real Harry over.

Harry walked over and watched as the small doorway grew larger as Hagrid grew taller. He immediately became very interested in the so-called magic. He boarded the bus, sat next to Hagrid, and opened his mouth to ask something. Suddenly, a strong jolt pushed him back into his seat. The scenery outside the window rushed past; the bus sped along the road. Harry asked Hagrid, "Won't we get pulled over by the cops driving this fast?"

"Muggles can't see this car, and what are the cops?"

"It's NCPD, and what's Muggle?"

"Someone who doesn't know magic, and who is NCPD...?" Hagrid hadn't finished speaking when he suddenly lurched forward and almost fell to the ground.

"We've arrived at the Leaky Cauldron."

Hagrid stood up, gave the driver a disgruntled look, and dragged Harry out of the car by the arm. If it weren't for the fact that he felt this big guy was alright, Harry would have liked to take out his Yinglong and shoot him with a burst of bullets.

Harry was dragged by Hagrid into a dirty, run-down little pub. The noise made Harry frown. Several old women were drinking sherry, and others were smoking and chatting with friends. The pub owner, who was almost bald and looked like a shriveled walnut, saw Hagrid and his friends while wiping glasses. He raised his glass to Hagrid and said, "Hey, Hagrid, the usual?"

"No, Tom, I'm on Hogwarts' side." Hagrid patted the bartender on the shoulder, almost making him vomit.

The bartender turned to look at Harry, his gaze lingering on Harry's forehead, his eyes widening suddenly: "This, could this be...?"

The noisy bar suddenly fell silent.

"Oh, Harry Potter, it's an honor!" He hurriedly came out from behind the bar and ran towards Harry, trying to grab Harry's hand. Harry held Yinglong in his arms with one hand, staring at Tom with undisguised murderous intent in his eyes. Tom stopped in his tracks and stood in front of him, but even under Harry's gaze, he was moved to tears.

"Welcome back, Mr. Potter, welcome back."

Harry was momentarily stunned. Everyone was looking at him excitedly. Then, the chairs clattered as everyone rushed to shake his hand.

"Hey, hey, what do you guys want, you bastards? Don't touch my hand, you son of a bitch, where the hell are you touching me?"

Harry was going crazy. These people were too enthusiastic, a little too enthusiastic. He even considered pulling out a grenade and taking them all down with him.

"Alright, alright, Harry has other things to do," Hagrid pulled Harry out of the crowd. Harry looked at Hagrid gratefully, realizing for the first time how adorable this big guy was.

After shaking off those people, Harry followed Hagrid to the backyard of the pub. Looking at the brick wall in front of them, Hagrid took out his pink umbrella and counted the bricks on top of the trash can: "Count three bricks up, then two bricks across. Okay, stand back, Harry."

He tapped the wall three times gently with the end of the umbrella.

The bricks on the wall began to shake and then moved to both sides, creating a small hole in the middle. The hole grew larger and larger, and soon the brick wall in front of them transformed into a wide archway that Hagrid, a giant, could pass through.

Harry's eyes widened, his prosthetic eye magnified to its maximum, trying to see if there was any power structure on the wall. Of course, there was nothing there.

"Welcome, Harry, welcome to Diagon Alley."
