American comic: I, JoJo, am going to heaven!

Chapter 39 Jon, make your move!

"The moment to break the deadlock is almost here." Jon's eyes sharpened. "Coulson!"

"Okay!" Coulson gripped his pistol tightly. "I understand."

The changes in the environment foreshadowed the gradual takeover of their inner worlds.

This also means that the true form of that stand-in is about to be revealed, and this is inevitable!

Although I don't know what it looks like, it might be related to those smiles.

"JoTaro once said that while a Stand that creates illusions is powerful, it must be very weak in terms of destructiveness."

"So don't worry." Jon strode forward. "Our physical bodies can hold out for at least another ten minutes."

Coulson asked:

"But why didn't the previous victims survive?"

"This isn't right." Coulson quickly caught up. "Can't they distinguish between dreams and reality?"

"That's unlikely. It's impossible not to recognize such an obvious illusion."

Jon shook his head and said to Coulson.

"Unless they're being held back by something."

"Because this Stand's ability takes a very long time to take effect, think back to before—"

He pointed to the shifting mist around him and calmly analyzed:

"The fog, the changing environment, the real and the fake clones, the bait I encountered at the beginning... it's all just stalling for time."

"Don't eat pickled radishes! They're like a super sticky piece of dog poop stuck to your shoe, you can't shake it off."

"What did the tarot reading say?" Coulson pressed. "Isn't it true that you'll only die if you draw cards from her?"

Upon hearing this, Jon recalled Enya's burning gaze and deduced:

"Perhaps that's her perverse sense of humor. As a fortune teller, she's obsessed with prying into other people's fates; it's not a rule."

"Killing for pleasure, obsessing over divination... I see."

Coulson grinned, his face radiating confidence.

After Jon's analysis, he was no longer flustered; that was Jon's magic.

His voice instantly puts you at ease! He's a man who makes you feel safe!

"So now—" Coulson asked.

"Find that double," Jon said, assuming a fighting stance. "Then beat it to a pulp! Leave the dream on your own!"

On the other side, Enya, receiving feedback from her Stand, suddenly burst into maniacal laughter:

"Hahaha... JOJO! So what if you've seen through my abilities?"

"The terrifying aspect of the Deepwater Fog ability lies not in this!"

"When you completely give up resistance, your spirits will belong entirely to me—especially yours, JOJO!"

In the dream, the two were cautiously moving forward.

The surrounding forest is constantly changing and seems to have no end.

Coulson gripped his pistol tightly, scanning the fog-shrouded woods intently, fearing some kind of monster might suddenly emerge.

Suddenly, a voice came from the woods, a voice that sounded friendly, saying:

"Philip."

Upon hearing this, Coulson's pupils contracted, and he froze on the spot.

He turned to Jon, his pupils trembling violently, his face filled with disbelief, muttering to himself.

"This is impossible..."

"Philip, are you there?" the voice rang out again.

Coulson's fingers were already trembling, his eyes were rapidly reddening, and he was choking up.

"Jon, that's...that's!"

"Phil!" Jon grabbed his collar. "Wake up! Whatever you heard, it's all fake!"

"I know, but... but that's..."

Coulson instinctively turned his head to look in the direction of the sound.

A middle-aged man, who bore a striking resemblance to him, with slightly balding hair and wearing a police uniform, stood in the fog.

"Ah! Damn it!" Coulson jerked his gun up and aimed, but couldn't pull the trigger.

His arm trembled violently. After a long while, he lowered the muzzle of his gun and pleaded:

"Jon... help me, I can't do it."

Why?

"Because—" Coulson's voice broke down, "that's my father who's been dead for over twenty years!"

"Yeah?"

Jon's eyes sharpened.

He instantly understood why all the dead people had smiles on their faces.

So the most deadly trap of this stand-in is that it makes people see their long-lost loved ones, which is why they don't want to wake up from the dream?

"It seems this is another way to break the deadlock." Jon clenched his fist.

"Does resolving hallucinations make the subconscious realize that one is dreaming, thus prompting them to wake up voluntarily?"

Thinking about this...

"Phil," Jon said, looking directly into his eyes, "the illusion created by your mind must be dealt with by you personally."

Upon hearing this, Coulson's face contorted as he slowly raised his gun, aiming it at the phantom of his father.

"I can do it...I can do it!"

His finger trembled on the trigger, just as he was about to pull it—

"Philip," his father's eyes suddenly filled with affection, "you've grown up."

Coulson's pupils contracted sharply, and his hand holding the gun wavered again, but he immediately regained his resolve.

"What the hell?! These are my most precious memories! You bastard!"

Gunshots rang out.

Coulson's figure vanished before Jon like a gust of wind.

"Hmph." Jon smirked and pulled down the brim of his hat. "Well done, Coulson."

So, next up is my mental image?

who can that be?

If it were Pepper, Suggie Q, or Jolyne or those other women... I would not hesitate to take action.

Nojohn Yowick, a born strongman, will not be swayed by mere illusions!

Just as Jon was pondering this in his mind.

An elderly, kind, yet slightly flippant voice came from behind him.

"Jon."

Upon hearing this, Jon Snow looked up sharply, and Star Platinum instantly turned around and threw a punch!

"Euro!"

"You're capable of handling things on your own now."

Hearing this exclamation, both Jon Snow and Star Platinum froze on the spot.

"Old...man?"

Jon turned around slowly in disbelief, his voice trembling slightly.

All that could be seen in front of him was...

An elderly man wearing a yellow spotted hat was smiling at him, his eyes behind his reading glasses squinting into a familiar arc.

"What!" Jon swallowed hard.

"Come here, Jon, why are you being so formal...aren't you going to give me a hug?"

Seeing Jon's hesitation, he imagined Joseph beckoning to him kindly.

Jon unconsciously walked toward Joseph.

"How about..." Jon's eyes were filled with hesitation, "Let me finish speaking before you make a move."

The real world.

"Yes! That's it, let yourself be ruined!"

Enya was overjoyed and shouted with delight upon seeing Jon's appearance.

"In just a few more minutes, I'll completely take over your mind, JOJO!"

"No, I have to give you a push and make you completely addicted."

In the dream, Jon had only taken two steps when a series of crisp footsteps suddenly came from the side.

"There's one more?!" Jon turned his head sharply. "What... um?"

Jon's pupils dilated in shock, and his mouth opened slightly as if he wanted to say something, but he couldn't utter a word!

What came into Jon's view was a purple hat with green stars on it.

The purple hat blended almost seamlessly with the hair, as if they were made of the same cloth.

Beneath the purple brim of his hat, a few strands of hair fell across his forehead, adding a touch of scholarly elegance to his features, which resembled those of an ancient Greek statue.

Her pale blue eyes were always so calm.

Exactly the same as he remembered!

"It...it's actually..." Jon's voice caught in his throat.

"It's...JO...JO Taro-san! How... is this possible!"

Jon's fists clenched and unclenched repeatedly, sweat beaded on his forehead, and his resolute gaze was completely swayed by the illusion.

Because that guy actually projected the images of the two men who had the greatest impact on his life!!!

What to do? Jon hesitated, and hesitation leads to defeat.

suddenly!

"Yay, yay." Jotaro casually raised a hand and gently touched the brim of his hat. "Jon..."

Upon hearing this voice that he hadn't heard in a long time, Jon instinctively listened attentively.

The man, who was always silent and not good at expressing his emotions, raised his head.

He spoke softly to Jon in his deep yet gentle voice:

"Let's do it."

In an instant, all the confusion in Jon's eyes vanished.

"Of course! Jotaro-san!" Jon grinned, pointing a finger, "Star Platinum!!!"

"Ora!" Star Platinum rushed forward and blasted the two illusions to pieces with its cannon fist.

Jon Snow's figure disappeared in the dream.

In the real world, Enya stared at Jon, who was gradually waking up inside the car, her face contorted with rage.

She shouted in disbelief:

"Impossible! That Jotaro..."

"How is this possible! How can there be someone like Jotaro?!"

"No!"

Enya was trembling all over, staggering as she tried to get up, muttering:

"I have to escape... if this guy catches me..."

Suddenly, a large, iron-like hand pressed down on her shoulder.

"Uh!" Enya's body stiffened instantly.

She turned around, trembling—

It met Jon's red, vertical pupils, which seemed to be spitting fire.

"I've got you."
