American comic: I, JoJo, am going to heaven!

Chapter 25: Was it fate's arrangement or a joke?

"Wait, you mean your heavily modified Ford got confiscated by the cops?"

"Fuck! Don't even mention it!"

Blade's expression darkened further, and he swore, a rare occurrence for him, as his eye twitched behind his sunglasses.

"Let's get down to business." He abruptly changed the subject, extending his hand. "What do you want with me? Is it something important?"

"Craft a gem." Jon placed the Aja redstone in his palm. "Make it into a necklace."

"Is this what's important?"

Blade picked up the gem and examined it against the light, then suddenly took off his sunglasses, revealing a mocking look.

"A gift for your girlfriend? That's definitely important."

"For my own use." Jon rolled his eyes. "Don't let its gem appearance fool you, it's actually a ripple amplifier."

"Ripples?" Blade suddenly realized. "You mean that thing on your hand that's emitting golden light?"

"That's right. By the way, do you want to learn it too? It's incredibly effective against vampires and dark creatures."

Jon suggested it to him.

"No need." Blade pushed his sunglasses back up on his nose. "I'm a Daywalker, but I'm still a vampire at heart. As for you..."

"You're different from me. You're more human. If you really want to be accurate, you should be called half-human."

"pity."

Jon smacked his lips in regret.

If the blade could be trained to form ripples, it would greatly increase the chances of defeating the Pillar Men.

Now that he's in the Marvel universe, does he still not know just how powerful the Pillar Men are here?

But one thing is certain: the Pillar Men here are definitely stronger than those in the JoJo world.

It's a pity that this is ultimately a human imitation of a substitute, a technology developed based on the human physique, which Blade, being a vampire, cannot learn.

Back then, if it weren't for the Joestar bloodline, he wouldn't have been able to master his own Ripple.

It's true that it's better to rely on yourself than on others.

Thinking of this, Jon said to Blade, who was drawing up the design:

"Wait, add a rotating inner layer, one that can open and close."

"Understood." Blade lit the furnace and placed the silver ingots into the container to begin melting.

"And this too." Jon pulled out several luxury watches and placed them on the worktable. "These are the spoils from last time."

clang!

Blade slammed the hammer heavily onto the anvil in frustration, looked up and said:

"Go find that sea turtle outside, and please don't bother me anymore, thank you."

"I understand..." Jon shook his head helplessly, slowly opened the door and walked out.

"Close the door!" Blade's roar came from inside the workshop.

"OK."

Jon closed the door behind him and turned around to see the black store manager squatting in front of the television, frantically pressing the controller.

Jon waited quietly for a while.

Moments later, the character on the screen suddenly died.

"Damn it!" the Black store manager slammed his fist on the handle in frustration. "So close!"

Packed simply, Jon took the opportunity to walk over and said, "Hey buddy, got a minute?"

The store manager looked up at him, then suddenly grinned: "No, but since you're Eric's friend..."

He stood up and extended his hand. "Now that you have some free time, by the way, my name is Smokey."

"Yorvik." He paused abruptly as he shook hands. "Jon Yovik."

"Wait, Smoker? Your name sounds familiar. Where have I seen you before?"

As he spoke, Jon began to observe him.

Smoker felt immense pressure being watched by Jon.

"Perhaps because my grandfather was the first Black governor of the United States?"

Smokey said hurriedly, then turned around and took two cans of beer from the freezer.

"Here you go." He handed Jon a bottle.

Seeing Smokey's overtures, Jon also averted his gaze.

"That must have been quite difficult," he said politely, reaching out to take it.

"That's all in the past." Smokey opened the can and took a sip, clearly not wanting to talk about it anymore.

"By the way, what did you want to see me about?" Smokey had barely finished speaking when he noticed the bag in Jon's hand.

"Oh! Let me guess, you want me to help you with some minor troubles?"

"Yes, there are some minor problems."

As Jon spoke, he laid out the Rolexes he had poured out of the bag on the counter.

"It's up to you now."

"OK!"

Smokey picked up a piece, held it up to the light, and exclaimed in surprise:

"Wow, there's not a single scratch on the watch, man! How did you do that?"

"Use this." Jon shook his fist.

"A fist? No wonder." Smoker sized up Jon's physique and said exaggeratedly:

"Dude, if I punched you, my great-grandmother would have to reserve a VIP seat for me in hell."

"You're not bad either," Jon patted his muscular shoulder. "Do you work out often?"

"All-natural muscles," Smokey said, showing off his forearm definition. "They came from carrying loads of cargo."

Jon nodded thoughtfully.

He had always believed in the saying that Stand users are attracted to each other.

The encounters between people may indeed be determined by fate, but there must also be a reason behind them.

The fact that Blade specifically introduced Smokey shows that this seemingly ordinary general store manager must be no ordinary person.

"Smoker," Jon suddenly had a sudden inspiration, "interested in becoming a Ripple user?"

"Huh?" Smoker nearly dropped his Rolex. "You mean something like Kamen Rider's?"

He made an exaggerated transformation pose, then said seriously, "Thanks, brother, but I'm not cut out for this."

"It's alright." Jon waved his hand, having completely lost interest in him. "I was just asking casually."

The reason Smokey doesn't want to become a Ripple Messenger.

Jon wouldn't pry, because everyone has their own reasons.

Just now, he was just trying his luck, even if it was uncertain, just to see if he would actually want to learn.

But now, he feels that Smokey is really not suited to learning Ripple.

Why? Because he didn't have the courage to try ripples.

Ripples are a product of human courage, and Smokey's evasive gaze says it all.

He doesn't have that awareness.

Smoker breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Jon didn't press the matter.

He was indeed just as Jon thought; he simply didn't have the courage to confront vampires.

Perhaps this encounter is just another cruel joke that fate is playing on Jon.

After a while.

"To round it up, it's fifty thousand dollars." Smokey pushed the appraised jewelry aside and took out two stacks of banknotes from under the counter. "This is your share."

Jon took the dollar, ran his fingertips over Franklin's, and a smile involuntarily crept onto his lips.

The feeling of having your wallet full again really gives you a sense of security.

"Looks like you have a lot of things to buy," Smokey teased.

Jon stuffed the money into his inner pocket. "I'm going to starve in New Mexico soon."

"I need to prepare several windproof clothes, and it would be best to also have a hat to protect against sandstorms."

"That doesn't sound good." Smoker shook his head, then glanced at the time. "Come to think of it, it should be about time..."

"What do you mean?"

No sooner had he finished speaking than the workshop door was suddenly pushed open.

Blade emerged, drenched in sweat, and casually tossed a faintly glowing object to Jon.

Snapped.

Jon caught the necklace steadily, and the instant he caught it, a warm current flowed from his palm throughout his body.

"Hmm? This strange warm current?"

He looked at the mysterious characters carved on it, his face showing a mixture of joy and worry.

Blade casually picked up a towel from the side, wiped his sweat, and then said:

"The inner structure was done as you said; it can be opened by rotating it once."

He paused, then added, a rare occurrence:

"But I've added a little surprise for you."
