"Miss Skye, your... way of persuading people is truly unique."

Jon glanced down meaningfully.

"What?" Skye looked down following his gaze, her cheeks slightly flushed.

Jon pursed his lips and shook his head helplessly.

Miss Skye's personality is indeed excessively carefree.

Jon guessed it might be because he grew up in multiple foster homes and orphanages.

If one weren't naturally open-minded, an ordinary person's personality would have been warped long ago after experiencing these things.

"Th-thank you for reminding me." Skye hurriedly straightened her collar, her prepared words suddenly falling silent.

"Anyway, you have to be careful, uh..."

"Be careful of what?" Jon added some hot water to her cup. "S.H.I.E.L.D."

"That's right!" Skye answered without hesitation.

As a top hacker who frequently infiltrates S.H.I.E.L.D. systems, she has witnessed far too much of the organization's dark side.

It is also clear that Jon Snow is not the only person in the world with superpowers, but most of them are under the surveillance of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Upon hearing this, Jon took a sip of water: "Did you know that some of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s funding comes from the Maria Stark Foundation?"

"Um..."

Skye tilted her head, her eyes revealing a clear kind of foolishness.

"I feel like I've heard that name before."

Jon sighed and explained:

Simply put, Stark Industries is funding S.H.I.E.L.D.

Pepper Potts, the newly appointed CEO of Stark Industries, is my distant aunt.

Skye choked on her words: "But the data shows..."

"So that means I don't have an aunt?" Jon chuckled. "She had a terrible relationship with my mother, and you should know why."

Skye nodded knowingly.

Having seen the files, she knew, of course, that Jon's mother was insane.

No one wants to be friends with a madman.

"So we probably don't have anything to say..."

Just as Jon was about to see the guest off, his phone suddenly beeped.

"Excuse me for a moment." He got up to check the message, which was from Blade.

The screen showed that Whistler had finished translating the contents of the parchment scroll.

The attachment is a diagram of the formation marked in vampire language, with a thoughtful English annotation next to it.

Jon's expression grew increasingly strange: "Twelve pure-blooded vampires plus a daywalker can summon the Blood God?"

He scoffed. "Is this all the tricks Deacon has prepared?"

"So that's all??" Jon was disappointed. He had originally thought Deacon was the kind of cunning villain.

But who knew, after holding it in for so long, he ended up pooping a huge pile.

To be honest, he really wanted to confront Deacon directly.

Ask him if he's treating the Sorcerer Supreme of Kamar-Taj as a mere figurehead.

Or did they ignore the protective barrier of the temple and try to summon the evil god directly?

Jon was even willing to utter harsh words.

If Deacon could really summon the so-called Blood God right under the Ancient One's nose.

He, Jon Yowick, shares the same last name as Deacon!

Jon sneered and was about to turn around when—

Sudden.

Bang—a gunshot rang out.

"What?!"

Jon's expression changed; with his powerful dynamic vision, he saw a bullet flying towards him!

At the critical moment, a large purple hand instantly and precisely clamped down on the bullet.

"Ah!" Skye screamed, trying to run away.

But outside is an open area, the so-called unobstructed killing zone; going there means certain death.

Seeing this, Jon leaped and tackled her into a corner, covering her mouth and hissing, "Stay here and don't move!"

"Uh-huh."

Skye nodded like a chick pecking at rice.

Jon leaned against the wall, took a deep breath, and then stood up.

The next second, Skye saw a figure smash through the kitchen window and jump out.

"what?"

Upon seeing Jon jump out, the three gunmen fired several shots.

"Mudamuda!"

Despite the barrage of bullets, Jon laughed wildly, completely disregarding them.

He raised his arms high in the air and shouted:

"The--World! Time that belongs only to me, Z!"

The moment he uttered those words, time seemed to stand still throughout the world.

The bullet aimed at Jon was forcibly stopped in mid-air with a long trajectory.

"A mere pistol..."

In mid-air, Jon landed lightly with a disdainful expression, strolling leisurely toward the gunmen outside.

"They have absolutely no effect against my Platinum Star world!"

As Jon spoke, he casually threw a punch, and with a crack, the ringleader's neck twisted instantly.

With his other hand, he casually tossed a throwing knife, which landed in front of the second gunman's forehead.

They walked up to the last gunman.

With a soft "thud," Platinum Star's hand slash pierced the gunman's abdomen, and a large amount of blood was frozen in mid-air.

"Hmph." Jon chuckled arrogantly, turned around, and silently thought to himself:

"Time begins to flow."

"Ugh!!!" x3

The three bodies flew backward in bizarre postures.

"Poor and weak." Jon looked bored and was about to turn back.

A mournful wail rang out, and Jon looked over, his expression changing drastically.

"Well..."

Apart from the gunman whose abdomen had been pierced, the other two gunmen struggled to their feet.

"This regenerative ability... these guys are..." Jon's expression turned serious, "They're vampires!"

Why are they able to move around during the day?

Out of Jon's innate caution, he did not approach this incomprehensible creature rashly.

Meanwhile, due to her own heightened alertness, Star Platinum automatically appeared behind Jon Snow, warily eyeing the two vampires before her.

At this moment, Jon Snow looked extremely confused, even to the point of questioning his existence.

Because this is completely unscientific; why can vampires walk in the sunlight?

In his mind, apart from Blade, no other vampire could walk in the sunlight.

But a moment later, looking at their faces, which looked like they'd been plastered with ash, Jon understood.

"I see, you applied sunscreen?"

Jon, suddenly realizing what was happening, strode forward.

The Platinum Star behind them lifted the two of them up like chicks.

Platinum Star took a deep breath, and golden electricity crackled across his hands with a crackling sound.

Two empty garments floated down.

Jon retrieved Star Platinum, took out his phone and turned it on, intending to call Blade, but unexpectedly the phone rang by itself.

"Telephone?"

He picked up his phone and saw it was an unfamiliar number. After hesitating for a moment, Jon answered it anyway.

"JOJO," Blade's voice came through. "I just saw Deacon; he's trying to recruit me."

"No wonder." Jon frowned slightly. "I encountered three gunmen."

"It seems he has already devised a plan to deal with you, so there's no need for me to perform the ceremony."

"Yeah, he was wearing sunscreen and had a child hostage, otherwise I would have killed him."

Jon clicked his tongue, a hint of regret on his face.

He was thinking that if Deacon had met him, things would have been different. He had time to stop time, so he could have rescued the child first and then killed Deacon.

Thinking of this, Jon asked:

"Is the child alright?"

"It's alright, but I found his hideout."

A glint of light flashed in Jon's eyes: "Send me the coordinates."
