Chapter 59: Emperor Qing proclaims himself Buddha, establishes the Four Buddhist Scriptures, Hongjun is troubled, and the Heavenly Dao is threatened.

"One is the Heart Sutra of Buddhism and Taoism, one is the Sutra of Cause and Effect of Buddhism and Taoism, one is the Sutra of Faith of Buddhism and Taoism, and one is the Sutra of Nirvana of Buddhism and Taoism! Hongjun knew that these Daoist voices came from the Heavenly Dao, and he also knew whether what the Heavenly Dao said was true or false, but he was still unwilling to accept it: "I don't believe that there is no way to wash away karma and cause and effect in the world."

"If you don't believe me, then go ahead and try! But remember, time waits for no one. If you continue like this, your own cultivation and your own path will be eroded by cause and effect and karma," the Heavenly Dao coldly rebuked.

"Hmph... Heavenly Dao, you are nothing but a bully who preys on the weak. The karma and cause you incurred by the Witch Clan were directly annihilated by their blood and qi. But the thought that crossed Hongjun's mind was instantly extinguished. Hongjun had his own pride and his own understanding; he did not want to seek help from the Witch Clan. Moreover, he knew that if he did seek help from the Witch Clan, he would inevitably become their vassal.

Secondly, seeing the fate of the five races, although their karma and cause and effect were washed away, they were still bound by the primordial world. Seeing this, Hongjun was even less willing to seek help from Diqing, and did not want to be bound by the primordial world as a result.
