Chapter 58: Creating the Nine Realms of Buddhism and Taoism, Elucidating the Buddhist Cultivation System, and Spreading it to the Western Beings

As for Di Qing, the new clan leader, he naturally had to take on the responsibility of managing their respective clansmen.

After a long time, Di Qing dispersed his communication with Zu Long and the others.

Di Qing wanted to turn around and leave, but the White Tiger Temple, still bustling with activity, and the many Western cultivators offering their faith, were looking at him pitifully.

Especially when Zhunti looked at Di Qing with such pious eyes, Di Qing stopped and flicked his sleeve: "Jieyin, Zhunti... you have done a great service by transmitting the Dharma to me and gathering the White Tiger faith for me. Secondly, I was very interested in your companion spiritual root, the Bodhi Tree, so I took it."

"Therefore, both publicly and privately, I must offer you some compensation. Tell me, what do you want?"

Jieyin and Zhunti exchanged a glance, their minds reeling, and for a moment they were at a loss for words. They had gone to great lengths to spread the teachings of faith, partly out of fear of Di Qing, and partly to experience the profound mystery of this method.

They had worked hard to complete the tasks taught by Di Qing, but Di Qing had taken away their family's top-grade spiritual root, the Bodhi Tree. This left them heartbroken.

But upon hearing that Di Qing would compensate them, they felt that their opportunity had arrived. All their spiritual roots and hardships were worth it.

After all, the Emperor Qing before them was an unparalleled being in the primordial world.

Zhunti bowed devoutly: "It is an immense blessing for us brothers to be able to serve Emperor Qing Immortal Ancestor. How could we possibly seek compensation now?"

"Haha... Zhunti, you're really interesting!" Di Qing looked at Zhunti's piety and flattery, making him even more embarrassed. He found Zhunti's strategy of feigning retreat quite amusing. After a moment's thought, he flicked his sleeve, and a Dao platform appeared beneath his feet. He then said, "Zhunti, since you don't need compensation, then I will bestow this compensation upon the beings of the West."

"I wandered the West, contemplating faith, and spent countless years under the Bodhi tree. In the darkness, I sensed a single word, a word that is: Buddha!"

"Afterwards, I sought out the Buddha, sensed the Buddha, and finally discovered that the Buddha was myself. Therefore, I created a cultivation system with the Buddha at its core. This system is called the Buddhist-Taoist System, also known as the Buddhist Cultivation System. Now, I will pass it on to the beings of the West."

Upon hearing this, Jieyin and Zhunti were utterly dumbfounded. They had intended to retreat in order to gain more benefits. However, they never expected that Di Qing would directly impart his teachings to the Western beings, and even intend to spread a separate cultivation system.

This left Jieyin and Zhunti both excited and disappointed. Excited because Diqing was about to transmit the Dharma. Disappointed because this transmission involved sentient beings in the Western Paradise.

But they dared not say anything more. However, the only thing to be thankful for was that countless Western cultivators were now looking at Jieyin and Zhunti with gratitude.

Di Qing ignored Jieyin and Zhunti's petty tricks, instead flicking his sleeves and letting the Great Dao accompany him, then spreading the Daoist voice: "I have observed that the West has become barren due to the conflict between Dao and Demon, and I have also observed the hardships of the beings in the West. Therefore, I created the Buddhist cultivation system, which requires very few resources."

"A Buddha is a great sage who possesses complete self-awareness, the ability to awaken others, and perfect practice of enlightenment, who truly understands the nature and characteristics of all phenomena, and who has achieved perfect enlightenment. The Buddhist and Taoist systems are opposite to the Taoist systems. The Taoist system integrates with heaven and earth, emphasizing the unity of heaven and man, understanding the universe, and following the natural way. The Buddhist and Taoist systems emphasize self-annihilation, exploring oneself, and creating one's own world."

"The first stage of Buddhist cultivation: the stage of self-awareness. This stage centers on self-will, sealing off the self and cutting off spiritual energy. It involves using self-will to explore and refine the physical body, condensing divine power from within the flesh and blood."

"The second stage of Buddhist cultivation is the stage of awakening others. In this stage, one's own divine power stirs the soul, accompanied by cognition, opening up the three senses of the self, and subsequently forming the divine eye, divine ear, and the ability to understand others' minds. These three abilities and these three senses are refined into one's own wisdom. Using wisdom as a guide, it is imprinted on the physical body."

"The third stage of Buddhist practice is the stage of enlightenment and practice. In this stage, wisdom guides divine power, and divine power arouses wisdom, thereby opening up the remaining three consciousnesses and forming the knowledge of past lives, the knowledge of divine realms, and the knowledge of the extinction of defilements. With the opening of the six consciousnesses, one achieves great enlightenment and great awakening, and then one's own body forms the prototype of a world."

"The Fourth Realm of Buddhist Cultivation: The Realm of Buddha-Mind. In this realm, divine power and wisdom accompany the self-awakening of the six senses, merging the nascent form of heaven and earth into one's own heart. Then, from within one's heart, one seeks the true self, seeks the aspirations of one's heart, and transforms those aspirations into one's own Buddha-mind and Buddha-realm."

"The Fifth Realm of Buddhist Cultivation: The Realm of Buddha Image. As the saying goes, appearance arises from the mind; the greater the mind, the greater the world. Within the world created by one's own mind, one cultivates what the mind desires and thinks, and then transforms what the mind desires into a Dharma image. This Dharma image is the manifestation of one's own mind."

"The Fifth Realm of Buddhist Cultivation: The Arhat Realm. This realm centers on the Dharma image within one's mind, seeking the Great Dao that aligns with this Dharma image, then feeding back into oneself, refining the physical body, and ultimately transforming the self. One's flesh and blood transform into the posture desired in one's mind, the posture of the Dharma image within one's mind, thus achieving the true body of an Arhat."

"The sixth stage of Buddhist practice: the state of Nirvana. In this stage, the self-emanation undergoes great Nirvana, causing the self to fall into Nirvana, and then rebirth from Nirvana. Subsequently, the true Arhat body and the self become completely integrated. After all, the true Arhat body is transformed from the heart, but there are still some inconsistencies between the self and the true Arhat body. Therefore, Nirvana and Nirvana are necessary to reveal the true Arhat within the heart."

"The seventh stage of Buddhist cultivation: the Bodhisattva stage. This stage is also called the Bodhi stage. When the true body is cultivated, supreme wisdom is awakened. By condensing Bodhi wisdom, one transforms into the supreme Bodhisattva."

"The eighth stage of Buddhist practice: the Buddha stage. This stage is achieved by condensing one's own wisdom, one's own mind, one's own Dharma form, and the path one has cultivated into a single fruit of the path... This fruit of the path is the Buddha fruit of the path."

"The Ninth Realm of Buddhist Cultivation: The Realm of Buddha Sainthood. This realm corresponds to attaining enlightenment and the state of primordial chaos. However, how to cultivate to this realm requires self-reflection and personal enlightenment!"

"These nine realms of Buddhist cultivation constitute the Buddhist cultivation system. Each realm prioritizes self-discovery and the development of one's own wisdom. The demand for spiritual energy and resources from heaven and earth is relatively low, but despite the scarcity of resources, it forms its own world, and its strength is no less than that of the immortal cultivation system. Moreover, each of the nine realms of Buddhist cultivation can be compared to a realm in the immortal cultivation system."

The Daoist teachings spread and reached the ears of the Western beings, as well as many cultivators who were watching and listening.

Di Qing did not stop the many cultivators who were secretly spying and listening. On the contrary, he allowed them to spread the word freely and even hoped that these cultivators would cultivate the Buddhist and Taoist systems.

In fact, the Buddhist and Taoist system created by Di Qing was based on later Buddhist and Taoist understanding. Like the Immortal Taoism system, the Buddhist and Taoist system that has been passed down to later generations is also incredibly complete. Di Qing only needed to comprehend each realm and then combine it with his own wisdom and understanding to create the Buddhist and Taoist system.

It can be said that creating the Buddhist and Taoist system was very simple and easy. It didn't require much thought. However, this system is comprehensive and no less impressive than the Taoist system.

Zhunti, Jieyin, and countless Western cultivators listened with rapt attention. They understood clearly how each system was cultivated, divided, and evolved. They only needed to rely on this system and combine it with their own lineage to easily create Buddhist and Taoist methods.

Afterwards, relying on this method to cultivate will surely enable them to make further progress. Moreover, they will know what lies ahead and how to cultivate in the future.

Jieyin and Zhunti were excited, awakening from their endless contemplation and enlightenment, and then shouted, "We thank the Emperor Qing Immortal Ancestor!"

"No, we pay homage to the Buddha Emperor Qing. The Buddha Emperor Qing founded the Buddhist system, and we are about to cultivate it. Therefore, Lord Emperor Qing is the Buddha in our hearts. We pay our respects to the Buddha Emperor Qing!"

"Yes, we are paying homage to the Emperor Qing Buddha."

Good heavens, Zhunti is truly a talent; in such a short time, he has bestowed upon Di Qing the title of Buddha. Good heavens, Di Qing has unknowingly become the ancestor of Buddhism and Taoism.

Upon hearing this, Di Qing smiled and readily accepted the title, not rejecting it. After all, this title of Buddha established Di Qing's reputation as the founder of Buddhism. Future practitioners of Buddhism would inevitably bear the imprint of Di Qing's name.

cause and effect.

The thought that the two major cultivation systems passed down to later generations had both been taken over by Di Qing filled him with a little excitement.

With a flick of his sleeve, Emperor Qing sent out two scriptures: "I accept the title of Buddha. From now on, you shall devote yourselves to Buddhist practice and seek out the holy ones of Buddhism. I hereby bestow upon you four Buddhist scriptures."
