The Silent Witch of Hogwarts

Chapter 547 The Crown

Chapter 547 The Crown

So now I have to go find Bloody Barrow again? — This feels just like one of Lockhart's novels, where you go find Jack first, then Smith, then Andrew, and finally go back to find Jack again.

Could it be that I'm actually inside some bizarre novel?

As Loila climbed the Astronomical Tower, she couldn't help but think this.

She already knew the location of Barrow the Blood from Dumbledore; it was the Astronomy Tower at Hogwarts, where he always stayed, watching something.

Why do you feel like I look a bit like that?

Loila sighed slightly and looked up. Putting everything else aside, he was quite close to Helena. Could there be something going on between them?

So, what's the relationship besides bringing back the body?

Lost in thought, Loila arrived at the Astronomy Tower at Hogwarts. During the summer holidays, there was naturally no one there, not even the Divination professor, the rather strange Professor Trelawney.

That's wonderful. After all, the last time I met her, she pointed at Loila's face and said things like it was all blood, which was really scary.

Loila carefully observed her surroundings, but surprisingly did not see any ghosts.

It seems the Blood Man Barrow isn't here?

She tilted her head and walked to the edge of the Astronomy Tower, glancing out briefly—she had been to the Hogwarts Astronomy Tower before, but from this perspective, it was much taller than Durmstrang's Astronomy Tower.

Loila, who is afraid of heights, pursed her lips slightly and then shrank back. But just as she shrank back, she suddenly felt a chill.

"Ugh!"

Startled, she nearly lost her balance and fell off the edge of the astronomical tower window, but luckily she managed to grab the wall with one hand.

"————"

Still shaken, Loila gasped for breath and sat down, her legs a little weak. Her fear of heights was severe; just that slight palpitation was enough to make her unable to stand.

This reminded her of the time she fell off a broom a couple of years ago, when she was terrified.

After sitting down against the wall for a few seconds to rest, she finally had time to look at the source of the chill.

As a result, she saw a white ghost standing in front of her, staring blankly outside.

So—so he is the Blood Man Barrow?

Roy thought he would be a red ghost—but now he seems no different from an ordinary ghost—ah, the biggest difference is that he is much colder.

He almost caused himself to fall, and yet he remained completely silent.

Loila pursed her lips and waved at him. Although she had improved a bit compared to before, Loila was still not very good at greeting others—especially strangers.

"————"

Barrow completely ignored Loila's wave; he just stared blankly into the distance.

"Cough cough?"

Loila coughed lightly again, but he still didn't react.

Is this ghost dead?

Loila paused for a few seconds, then mustered her courage and asked, "Mr. Barrow?"

""

"Bloody Barrow?"

He remained silent, gazing into the distance.

Why are all the ghosts at Hogwarts so alike? Even Ms. Helena Ravenclaw is like that, silent and not saying a word.

He ended up with the same result.

Fortunately, he doesn't wander off.

Loila pondered for a few seconds, then lowered her voice slightly and said, "Helena?"

"!"

"Ugh!"

The moment Roy uttered Helena's name, Barrow abruptly turned to look at Roy, startling her with the sudden action.

"You know her?" Barrow asked slowly, looking at Loila. His voice was incredibly hoarse, yet it didn't sound so cold.

"I—I know her." Loila nodded.

"She always avoids seeing me," Barrow said slowly. "So, is there something you need?"

"Barrow doesn't seem so scary after all," Loira glanced at him in surprise, then coughed and said, "I have some things—some things I want to ask you."

"What is it?" Barrow asked, tilting his head. "I know everything about Ms. Ravenclaw."

Are you some kind of stalker?

"Um—I wanted to ask her something—but she wouldn't talk to me."

"The matter?" Barlow paused. "Do you love her?"

"Um?"

Do you love her?

"I—I love whatever—" Loila was a little flustered by the sudden question. She stammered, preparing to deny it, when she saw Barrow suddenly come close to her.

"Do you love her?!"

"I don't love—I don't love!"

Startled, Loila shrank back and leaned against the wall, raising her wand.

"I see—" Upon hearing Loila's denial, Barrow immediately calmed down and nodded, saying, "I love her."

""

"Ah—okay—very good—" Loila pursed her lips and said, "I just wanted to ask about something related to—and Ms. Rowena Ravenclaw."

"It has little to do with—Ms. Helena—"

"Ms. Ravenclaw—" Barrow paused for a few seconds upon hearing this, then said thoughtfully, "What do you want to ask?"

""

"About—about the treasure." Loila thought for a moment, unsure how to describe it, and could only offer a somewhat abstract description: "It's something very valuable to Lady Ravenclaw."

"That thing is lost—I have to find it."

"Is this the size of the thing?" Roy gestured slightly, since she had seen Voldemort holding it.

To be honest, she didn't have much hope, since no one should know what such a bizarre description was, right?

"What do you need this for?" Barrow's answer made Loila's eyes widen.

"Do you know—do you know what that is?"

"Of course I know—but—" Barro paused and said, "that thing—I don't know where it went—I only know that Helena took it—"

"Um?

""

Why does the story seem a bit strange?

"So what is that?" Loila asked patiently.

"That is—" Barrow hesitated for a long time before lowering his voice slightly, "That is Lady Ravenclaw's tiara."

"Hmm?" Loila blinked and twitched her ears.

What is this thing?

It sounds really high-end—but how come I've never heard of it before?

"It represents wisdom," Barrow said, then paused for a few seconds, "but Helena took it away."

"It was never found again—" he said, then suddenly broke into an ugly grin: "Hahahahahahahaha!"

"Helena wouldn't say a word to me."

Mmm-hmm-hmm-hmm

So the missing item is the Ravenclaw lady's tiara?

In other words—Voldemort turned that thing into a Horcrux?

Loila nodded thoughtfully.

It seems there's finally some progress on the matter of Lady Ravenclaw's trials—but only in terms of what they are—not in terms of where they are.

Loila sighed softly.

It seems only Voldemort knows about this.
