Little Goku's Great Adventure Starting from One Piece

Chapter 10 The Reason for Cultivation

Inside the Marshal's office, by the window, Garp turned his gaze away and laughed loudly at Sengoku:

"How was it? Sengoku, you see? This is the kid I told you about. He did pretty well, didn't he? Hahahaha!"

Sengoku watched Wukong, who had caused quite a commotion below, stroking his long, braided beard, a thoughtful look flashing in his eyes.

After a while, he looked away and said to Garp calmly, "Judging from what you've said so far, this child is indeed quite special. Breaking the restrictions to join the Navy is not out of the question."

"Right, hahaha!" Garp laughed.

"but!"

Sengoku adjusted his glasses and threw out that annoying "but" turning point.

"But this kid is really too young. It's not a good thing for him to join the Navy now. Besides, you said that his family hasn't been found yet, and we don't know anything about his background."

"If he joins the navy so hastily, there may be hidden dangers in the future."

Although talented people occasionally emerge on the high seas, those with such high talent as Wukong are extremely rare.

A person with such talent is likely to have an extraordinary background.

Garp didn't argue with him, but instead grinned, showing his big white teeth, and asked, "Then what do you suggest we do?"

He knew that his old friend must have already come up with a solution.

Sure enough, Sengoku slowly said, "Treat him as a reserve and observe him for a year. If there are no problems during this year, he will be officially admitted to the Navy after a year."

A year's buffer period will allow Wukong to grow in character and gain a better understanding and acceptance of the Navy.

Moreover, it would be enough for their navy to thoroughly investigate Wukong's past, leaving no hidden dangers.

Upon hearing this, Garp grabbed a handful of senbei and stuffed them into his mouth, then nodded and said, "Hahaha! Okay! We'll do it your way!"

He knew this was the bottom line of the Warring States period, and he also knew that doing so would only benefit Wukong, so he did not object.

"Okay, then let him stay by your side from now on, and you should teach him well."

Sengoku returned to his seat, picked up his teacup, and took a sip.

"Of course! Do you even need to tell me that? Hahahaha!"

Garp laughed, then saw Sengoku glance at him sideways, then at the door, and immediately realized that the other party was kicking him out.

He wasn't embarrassed at all; he just walked towards the door with a calm expression. As he passed the cabinet with the tea, he casually stuffed the whole can of tea into his pocket and then leisurely walked out.

"Then I'll be off to the Warring States period!"

After gesturing for him to get lost, Sengoku stopped looking at him and instead focused intently on a document.

After reading the documents, he looked up and glanced at the cabinet, only to find that the tea leaves on the cabinet had disappeared.

And so, on this day, half the people in the naval building heard Fleet Admiral Sengoku's roar:

"Garp!! You bastard!! Give me back my tea leaves!!"

......

After enjoying the training ground to the fullest, Lanza pulled Goku away while the other marines stood there dumbfounded.

After reaching a secluded spot, he kept patting Wukong's head until Wukong started to get annoyed with him. Then he threw his head back and laughed loudly, "Hahahaha! Wukong, you're amazing! Did you see the expressions on their faces? They're so funny!"

Wukong fiddled with his messy hair, frowning as he looked at him: "You're so strange, what's so funny about this?"

Lanza stopped laughing and said to him in a pretentious tone, "Hey, it seems you don't understand yet. When you grow up a few more years, you'll understand how fun and enjoyable this kind of thing is."

"That's really inexplicable."

Wukong couldn't understand what he was saying, he just frowned and muttered something.

Lanza didn't mention it again and started taking Goku to see some places worth visiting.

Soon after, Garp found them, waved for Lanza to get lost, and then led Goku to an empty training ground.

While Wukong was somewhat confused, he pretended to be serious and asked, "Wukong, do you like cultivating and making yourself stronger?"

Wukong blinked and nodded, "Mhm!"

So Garp asked again, "Have you ever thought about what the purpose of your training is?"

Wukong scratched his face, pondered for a moment, and then replied, "I hadn't thought about it before, but I've figured it out now. The reason I want to cultivate is to surpass myself!"

Before becoming Master Roshi's disciple, he wanted to train to become stronger so that he could defeat powerful opponents.

After becoming Master Roshi's apprentice, thanks to Master Roshi's guidance, he realized the true reason why he wanted to train: to surpass himself!

It was this shift in thinking that enabled him to continuously defeat powerful enemies and break through his own limits in the original work, reaching a martial arts peak that is unimaginable to ordinary people!

Garp was taken aback when he heard his answer.

This little guy is so young, yet he already has such mature thoughts and understanding.

He increasingly felt that Wukong was a shining gem, so he laughed heartily and said, "Hahaha! You're absolutely right! Our cultivation should indeed be for the purpose of surpassing ourselves!"

"However, besides surpassing ourselves, can we rely on the strength we've gained through cultivation to uphold justice and combat heinous criminals?"

He looked at Wukong expectantly.

Unexpectedly, Wukong asked blankly, "Criminals? What are criminals?"

Garp's smile froze instantly, then he explained, "It's bad people who do bad things, like the pirates you defeated on the island last time."

Wukong nodded in sudden realization: "Oh, he's a bad guy. Of course! If someone does something bad, I'll stop him!"

Upon hearing this, Garp nodded in satisfaction and did not pursue the topic further.

After all, Wukong is still young, and it's good that he has this kind of concept. We can tell him other things slowly later.

Thinking of this, he changed the subject and asked, "So, Goku, how do you feel about your current strength?"

Upon hearing this intriguing question, Wukong's eyes lit up. He scratched his head and grinned, saying, "Hehe, I feel like I'm pretty strong now."

After undergoing some tests over this period, he found that his strength had changed dramatically compared to before, so he was quite happy.

"Oh? Pretty strong?" Garp asked with a smile.

"Hehe, yes, yes." Wukong nodded happily.

The next second, Garp suddenly appeared next to Goku and punched him on the head.

Bang! ! !

Wukong instantly fell to the ground, landing face-first in a shit-like position.

At the same time, a large bump suddenly swelled up on his head.

"It hurts so much! It hurts so much!!"

Wukong jumped up, clutching the large bump on his head, tears welling up in his eyes from the pain.

He angrily questioned Garp, "Why did you hit me! Grandpa Garp!"

Garp picked his nose, grinned, and said, "Didn't you say you were pretty strong? I'll see how strong you really are."

Wukong instantly identified the center point, clenched his fist, raised his eyebrows, and said with full fighting spirit, "So you want to fight me? Then let's go!"
