Pokémon: All About the Breeding House

Chapter 37 Cynthia's Life in the Breeding House

As dawn broke, Fang Yan got out of bed, stretched, and went to the balcony.

Gengar is doing radio calisthenics following a video on the tablet he bought for it.

Leaning against the balcony doorway, I watched Gengar hopping around on its short legs. Since it couldn't clap its hands above its head, it clapped its hands in front of its chest.

"A self-disciplined chubby boy."

After Gengar finished performing this set of actions, it stopped and looked at Fangyan.

"Kou Jie—"

Fang Yan thought for a moment and nodded.

"Alright, I'll give it a try too."

Gengar made room for him, and then the two of them started doing calisthenics on the balcony.

After knocking Gengar away for what seemed like the umpteenth time, Gengar finally couldn't stand him anymore and chased him away.

Shrugging, Fang Yan walked out of the room. Next door was the room where Cynthia was staying. Yesterday, he had chosen a room with a view of the backyard and tidied it up for her. Cynthia moved her luggage in without any hesitation.

She glanced at the time; it was a little past six in the morning. She was still asleep. Fang Yan shook her head and went downstairs.

Monini has already prepared breakfast. Since Monini came along, Fangyan has found cooking much easier. Monini is so capable.

After he went downstairs, he heard a noise coming from the door of the next room. Then the door opened, and Cynthia yawned and came out of the room.

Good morning, in dialect.

Good morning, Uncle.

Sounds came from both the rooftop and outside the door at the same time. Fang Yan, who was having breakfast at the counter, looked up, first at Cynthia, and then turned to look at Shana.

Good morning, Cynthia; good morning, Shana.

Cynthia went straight downstairs, while Shana followed behind the counter with the bell ringing. Shana glanced at Cynthia and then skillfully hid behind Fang Yan.

Cynthia gestured in confusion.

Is this the girl?

Fang Yan nodded, then swallowed the egg in his hand in one gulp, wiped his hands, and patted Shana's little head.

"It's alright, Shana. This lady is your brother's...uncle's friend."

Shana poked her head out and looked at Cynthia curiously, only to be completely captivated.

"Hello, my name is Cynthia."

Cynthia gave a gentle smile, and not only Shana was stunned, but Fang Yan was also stunned.

However, Fang Yan quickly came to his senses and encouraged Shana to go outside.

Shana stepped out from behind the dialect and came to stand in front of Cynthia.

"Hello... my name is Shana."

Looking at the little girl in front of her with a trembling voice, and remembering what Fang Yan had told her yesterday, Cynthia felt a pang of heartache. Then she bent down and patted the little girl's silver-haired head, just like Fang Yan had done.

"Shana is so cute."

Shana looked up at the face so close to hers, her gentle eyes like spring water, and her smile captivating.

Her face flushed red instantly.

"Cynthia is so pretty."

After saying that, he threw himself into Cynthia's arms and hugged her leg tightly.

She was too shy to lift her head.

Cynthia glanced at Fang Yan, both amused and exasperated, while Fang Yan shrugged.

Seeing that they were getting along well, Fang Yan invited them over for breakfast, and Monini brought them breakfast out of the kitchen.

Let them eat breakfast in peace, and Fang Yan went back to the kitchen to make them two cups of honey water.

"Thanks."

"Thank you, Uncle."

"You're welcome."

After finishing speaking in dialect, he went back to the backyard, cleaned up the earth turtle, and then took out the lawnmower.

It's time to weed again.

After Gengar finished its breakfast, it emerged from the wall, squeezed past the dialect, and started driving its lawnmower with a rumble.

Fang Yan put his hands on his hips, watched Gengar drive away in the lawnmower, and gave it a couple of instructions.

He went to find some usable wooden blocks, carried them back to the counter, where Cynthia and Shana had just finished breakfast.

"Are you planning to go to the backyard or watch TV in the front?"

Without hesitation, Cynthia said, "I'll go to the backyard."

Then he led Shana through the door and headed towards the backyard.

Fang Yan nodded, then hung up the sign for business, sat down at the counter, picked up his tools, and started working.

In the backyard, Cynthia led Shana straight to the swing. After Shana sat down, she looked around and realized there was no room for her. Cynthia patted her little head to tell her to be careful, then went back to the parasol and lay down easily.

The scent of freshly cut grass filled her nostrils, and nearby, her Pokémon was communicating with a Pokémon speaking a dialect. Sensing the presence of Gengar and the others, Cynthia nodded to herself.

The dialect has nurtured them well, and the bond between trainers and Pokémon connects them closely, which Cynthia loves.

Cynthia thought for a moment, then took out her phone and took a picture of herself.

Then I opened a group chat and clicked send.

Cattleya: So beautiful.

Karune: You look beautiful as always, Cynthia.

Wanlong: Judging from this background, you're on vacation again?

When Cynthia saw the message, she paused for a moment, then looked up into the distance, a smile curving her lips. Her slender fingers then began to tap incessantly on the screen.

Cynthia: I've found a great place for a vacation.

Wanlong: I knew it.

Gadria: I also really want to go on vacation with Cynthia.

Cynthia: Let's do it together next time.

Karune: Isn't the Sinnoh League Tournament about to start? You still have time to go on vacation?

Cynthia pouted as she remembered the League Tournament was about to begin, then tapped the screen.

Cynthia: I'm in Sinnoh.

Cynthia: I have a great breeding center in the Sinnoh region. The owner is a very skilled breeder.

Cattleya: A breeding house? You might as well come and vacation with me.

Wanlong: Really?

Karuni: But is that really okay? The League Tournament is about to start, aren't you going to train? It would be terrible if you got defeated by Gadriya.

Cattleya: Hmph, just wait and see how I defeat you!

After sending the last message, Cynthia turned off her phone screen and looked at Lucario, who was instructing the Machamp, and Gengar, who was learning from Togekiss.

"Training? Great, Garchomp, let's train!"

Cynthia stood up, her gaze resolute and fierce.

"Kah!"

"As a thank you, I will personally guide you, Gengar."

Cynthia looked at Gengar and the others. Fangyan had a strong ability to raise them, so he had raised them very well. However, Fangyan didn't seem to have trained them much. Since that was the case, she would help train them as a way of expressing her gratitude.

"Goblin!"

"Cough!"

Stand at attention!

Cynthia nodded, then led them away into the distance.

boom!

The loud noise from the backyard startled Fang Yan, causing him to drop the wooden sign from his hand. He quickly ran to the backyard.

They were all gathered around the kitchen window.

Fang Yan went forward and found that the window glass was broken.

Upon seeing Fang Yan, Cynthia nodded and said, "They have very strong potential."

Fang Yan was a little stunned, then he looked at Gengar and a few Machamp.

A certain move in the move list is flashing.

Gengar and the others looked like they had done something wrong.

Fang Yan sighed, then tugged at the corner of Gengar's mouth and said:

"It's okay, I'll just find someone to fix it. Remember to go further away next time."

"Kou Jie—"

whee.

Fang Yan glanced at the time, then looked at Cynthia, "You guys be careful. I'm going to make lunch. What would you like to eat for lunch?"

Cynthia thinks, then Cynthia gives up thinking.

"It will be all right."

Fang Yan nodded, then took Monini back to the kitchen, while Cynthia led a group of Pokémon to a distant training ground.

After lunch, Cynthia and Shana sat in the rest area watching TV, which was showing previews of the upcoming Sinnoh League tournament.

Fang Yan brought them soda and a fruit platter. Cynthia took a sip and then said, "The League Tournament is about to begin, and I'll be going back then."

"The League Conference?"

"Yes, would you like to come and see it? I can give you a ticket; the seats are great."

Fang Yan pondered for a moment, then shook his head.

"No one will take care of me once I leave the nursery."

Cynthia nodded in understanding.

"But Gengar and I will watch TV. We'll cheer you on, right, Gengar?"

"Kou Jie——(◦˙▽˙◦)"

"it is good."

Cynthia smiled and nodded.

Fang Yan, who had returned to the counter to continue working, suddenly remembered something.

"By the way, Cynthia, do you know a Trainer named Ash?"
