Chapter 104 Wings of Wind and Waves.

Haiyuan gazed at the light, an indescribable excitement surging within him: "That is our destination—the Heart of the Storm. The Wings of the Storm are hidden there."

The small boat approached silently, the light growing brighter and brighter until a huge, transparent, wing-like object appeared before them. The wings emitted a soft blue light, and each gentle flap resonated with the surrounding storm.

"This... is the Wings of the Storm?" Xiao Chong exclaimed in amazement, reaching out his hand in disbelief as if trying to touch that mystery.

Haiyuan took a deep breath and strode forward resolutely: "Let us together embrace our own wings of wind and waves."

Just as the three were about to touch the wondrous object, a solemn voice rang in their ears: "Intruders, how dare you!"

In a flash of light, a man resembling an archangel appeared out of thin air. His wings were broad, and his silver feathers shimmered in the dim light. His eyes, as if inlaid with stars, exuded an inviolable majesty.

He held a long spear crackling with lightning, and a faint crackling sound of electricity surrounded him, as if he could summon a thunderbolt at any moment.

"We mean no harm; we just want the Wings of the Storm."

Haiyuan stepped forward, attempting to resolve this sudden conflict peacefully.

But the archangel's gaze pierced through their intentions, and a contemptuous smile curled at the corner of his lips.

"For countless years, countless greedy souls have tried to seize this divine gift, and all have met a tragic end. You are no exception." The male angel's words carried an undeniable power. With a gentle wave of his spear, several blinding bolts of lightning instantly condensed in the air, swirling around him, accompanied by thunderous roars that shook the very soul.

Zi Yan clenched her fists, a resolute glint in her purple eyes: "We did not come for greed, but to protect those we love and the world. The Wings of the Storm are of paramount importance to us!"

Xiao Chong slowly drew the long sword from his back. The blade faintly emitted a blue light, a symbol of his strength accumulated over many years.

"No matter how difficult the journey ahead may be, I, Xiao Chong, vow to persevere to the end." His tone was calm yet full of power. The tip of his sword lightly touched the ground, and a gentle breeze rose up, enveloping his entire body and adding to his invisible aura.

With the three men's stances firmly established, an inevitable battle was about to begin.

Haiyuan transformed into a blue whirlwind, its speed so great that the air howled; Ziyan, on the other hand, moved swiftly, like a phantom, and two sharp short blades appeared in her hands at some unknown time, surrounded by purple light.

Xiao Chong then walked on the current, his long sword pointing straight to the sky. The tip of the sword guided the natural wind to gather, forming a storm powerful enough to shake the heavens and the earth.

"Then come on, prove your will and strength!" The archangel spread his wings, and instantly thunderclouds filled the sky, as if the sky had been torn apart. Countless bolts of lightning struck the three of them like raging dragons, each strike containing earth-shattering power.

The battle was extremely fierce. Xiao Chong and his two companions skillfully dealt with the situation by relying on their tacit understanding and individual strength. The lightning was constantly neutralized or deflected under their attacks, but the power of the archangel seemed inexhaustible, and each attack became more ferocious.

"We must find his weakness!" Xiao Chong shouted during the fierce battle, while guiding the wind with his sword to form a wall of wind that blocked the fatal blow that was about to hit.

"Look at his wings!" Zi Yan noticed during one of her dodges that whenever the archangel used a powerful skill, his wings would dim for a moment. "Attack his wings; perhaps we can break the balance!"

Upon hearing this, Haiyuan immediately adjusted his strategy. He manipulated the water element to condense a solid ice shield, defending while searching for an opportunity. Just as the archangel was gathering lightning once more, Haiyuan hurled the ice shield, accurately striking one of the archangel's wings. The light dimmed, and the lightning's attack weakened.

"Found it!" Xiao Chong seized the opportunity, his longsword transforming into a blue tornado that shot straight at the archangel's other wing. The wind and thunder collided, creating a dazzling light.

Zi Yan seized the opportunity to weave through the lightning, her short blade slicing through the air, leaving a trail of purple marks, and finally leaving a shallow wound on the archangel's back.

The archangel paused, the stars in his eyes seeming to dim slightly. "You... are indeed extraordinary..." His words carried a hint of approval for the first time.

Xiao Chong lightly touched the ground with his toes, leaping up like a nimble monkey to avoid a bolt of lightning that came crashing down on him.

"Haiyuan, left! Ziyan, right! Let's distract him!" As he spoke, his longsword conjured countless forms, each flash of the sword subtly weakening the power of the thunderstorm.

Haiyuan took a deep breath, his ocean-blue eyes sparkling. His hands quickly formed a seal, and a gentle yet resilient power surged from his palms, contrasting sharply with the raging lightning.

"To overcome the strong with the soft is the way of my sea race." He murmured, and his power easily enveloped a raging bolt of lightning, dimming its color and causing it to slowly dissipate.

A sly smile played on Zi Yan's lips as she nimbly weaved through the net of lightning, her figure shifting left and right.

"Hide and seek isn't just a children's game." The short blade flashed, each stroke precisely severing the lightning's veins, causing the storm's power to gradually spiral out of control.

Upon seeing this, the archangel's eyes flashed with surprise, then he sneered, "A mere mortal dares to challenge my majesty?" He flapped his wings, intending to use the advantage of the high altitude to deliver a fatal blow. However, the sky suddenly became unusually heavy, as if an invisible hand was pressing down on the heavens and earth.

"Archangel, you've forgotten that this land of thunderstorms is also part of nature."

Xiao Chong's voice resounded through the sky, and the sword light in his hand suddenly surged, perfectly merging with the power of Hai Yuan and Zi Yan to form a huge light curtain, forcefully blocking the archangel's path to ascension.

"Unity is our greatest weapon," Haiyuan said softly, his eyes resolute, as if he could already see the dawn of victory.

"Now!" Zi Yan shouted, her figure suddenly accelerating like a shooting star, her short blade aimed straight at the archangel's heart. At the same time, Xiao Chong and Hai Yuan also launched their final attack, the three forces merging into one, forming a sword of light powerful enough to pierce through heaven and earth.

"Impossible..." The archangel's voice trembled; he felt an unprecedented threat.

The sword of light pierced through the thunderstorm, broke through the archangel's shield, and finally left a faint mark of light on his chest.

At that moment, the storm in the thunderstorm area seemed to stand still.

"Remember this day, you are not invincible." Xiao Chong stood in the light, his tone filled with both the joy of victory and the expectation for the future.

"You... how could you possibly... possess such power..." The archangel knelt on the ground, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, his eyes gleaming with disbelief.

The air around seemed to freeze, and even the wind was unwilling to blow across this land touched by the miracle.
