Chapter 102 The Soul of the Ancient Ship.

Xiao Chong frowned, his eyes resolute. "Now that we know of the impending threat, we have no reason to stand idly by. Zi Yan, don't you agree?"

Zi Yan nodded, her eyes shining even more firmly. "Of course, since we have the ability, we have the responsibility to protect this world from harm. Mr. Haiyuan, please tell us what to do."

Upon hearing this, Haiyuan's eyes flashed with gratitude. "Your determination is admirable. First, we need to find three ancient treasures—the Heart of the Tide, the Star Compass, and the Wings of the Waves. These three treasures were once used by the gods who protected this sea area. With them, we will have a greater chance of victory."

"Where exactly is the treasure?" Xiao Chong asked impatiently.

"The Heart of the Tides is hidden in the Eye of the Deep Sea, the deepest and most mysterious place in the ocean; the Star Compass is sealed in an ancient shipwreck, which is said to have disappeared near Thousand Sails Reef; as for the Wings of the Wind and Waves, they were placed by the ancestors of the sea people in the Land of Wind, an island where storms rage year-round," Haiyuan explained in detail.

"None of these sound easy." Zi Yan frowned, but then a resolute smile appeared on her face. "However, we have each other, and we have you, Hai Yuan. As long as we unite, there's nothing we can't solve."

"Alright, let's set off now." Xiao Chong clapped his hands, looking very confident.

The three immediately set to work, their first task being to head to the Eye of the Deep Sea to find the Heart of the Tide.

Using his familiarity with the sea, Haiyuan led them through a complex underwater labyrinth, encountering various strange and dangerous sea creatures along the way.

In a thrilling battle against a swarm of giant electric eels, Xiao Chong displayed his extraordinary strength, while Zi Yan cleverly used her battle aura to transform water elements into a sturdy shield to protect them.

After several days of arduous exploration, they finally arrived at the Eye of the Deep Sea. There, in a colossal cave, lay a gem emitting a soft blue light—the Heart of the Tides.

Just as they were preparing to retrieve the treasure, a low chanting echoed through the cave, and an invisible force seemed to be preventing them from getting closer.

"Be careful, an evil force is influencing this place," Haiyuan warned warily.

"It seems we need to finish this quickly." Zi Yan said, flicking her fingers, and a string of shimmering ice spikes shot towards the blocking force field, trying to open a path.

Just as the ice spike was about to touch the force field, Haiyuan suddenly spoke up: "Wait! Violence will only provoke it. Evil may be fierce, but it also respects courage and wisdom. Let me try."

Haiyuan closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and his whole body emitted a faint blue light.

He began chanting an ancient and mysterious incantation, his voice long and rhythmic. Gradually, the force field weakened and eventually disappeared without a trace.

"It's done!" Xiao Chong shouted excitedly, took a few steps forward, and gently picked up the Heart of the Tide. Its light flowed between the three of them, as if acknowledging their courage and determination.

"This is just the first step," Haiyuan reminded with a smile, but his eyes already held a hint of determination. "Next, with the Star Compass and the Wings of the Storm, no matter how many difficulties and obstacles we face, we will overcome them one by one."

"That's right, as long as we're together, there's no difficulty we can't overcome," Zi Yan responded, her eyes sparkling with boundless anticipation for the future.

Haiyuan led Xiao Chong and Ziyan slowly into the forgotten waters. The surrounding light gradually dissipated, leaving only the faint blue light on their bodies to guide their way.

The outline of the sunken ship gradually emerged, like the remains of a giant beast, lying quietly in the embrace of the deep sea, surrounded by an ominous aura.

Zi Yan gripped Xiao Chong's hand tightly, her eyes revealing an undisguised fear.

"This place... is terrifying," she whispered, her voice sounding especially fragile through the bubbles.

"Don't be afraid, Haiyuan and I are here." Xiao Chonghui held Ziyan's hand, giving her warmth and strength.

Haiyuan was ahead, his body surrounded by blue light like a lighthouse in the deep sea, guiding them through this darkness.

As the three ventured deeper into the sunken ship, an oppressive silence enveloped them, broken only by the sound of their own breath bubbles echoing in the enclosed space.

Suddenly, a low murmur broke the silence, and the spirits of the dead began to wander in the cabin. Their eyes were empty and their faces were distorted, as if they were searching for memories of the past or unfinished missions.

"Are you ready? They're coming."

Haiyuan's voice was steady and powerful. His hands quickly drew complex symbols, and a spell followed. A pale blue light condensed around him, forming a shield of light.

Xiao Chong drew the dagger from his waist, his eyes filled with determination: "No matter what grievances these dead souls may hold, they cannot stop us from moving forward."

Zi Yan also mustered her courage, took out a small magic bead from her bosom, and chanted softly. The surrounding seawater seemed to be summoned, rippled, and wove a water armor for her.

The ghosts drew closer, letting out sharp howls as they tried to penetrate the three's defenses.

Haiyuan was the first to attack. He stretched out his hand, and the power of the incantation transformed into a beam of light, accurately striking a soul and causing it to vanish into nothingness with a wailing cry. Xiao Chong, on the other hand, nimbly moved among the souls, his dagger slicing through the darkness like lightning, each swing taking away a soul's lament.

Zi Yan's fighting spirit bloomed in the water, forming eddies that swept up the souls of the dead, ultimately turning them into nothingness.

After a fierce battle, the souls of the dead finally dissipated one by one, and the sunken ship returned to calm, leaving only the sound of the three people breathing and the slightly rippling water around them.

Xiao Chong gently patted the wreckage of the sunken ship: "Next up is the Star Compass."

Haiyuan's pupils constricted sharply as he sensed an ancient and powerful soul fluctuation slowly approaching from the depths of the ship's cabin. "Be careful, there's a stronger enemy," he whispered, signaling the two to prepare for battle.

The three of them, back to back, slowly advanced towards the core area.

In the dim light, a skeleton clad in rusted armor slowly rose, its eye sockets glowing with eerie green phosphorescence, and it held an ancient scimitar. That was the undead captain, Olivias.

"Intruders, you have disturbed my eternal peace," Olivias's voice echoed like a gust of wind from the abyss, "Prepare to bear the wrath of the deep sea!"

Battle is imminent.

Haiyuan quickly chanted a spell, which transformed into a light shield that blocked the three of them, just in time to block Olivias's first wave of attacks. The scimitar collided with the light shield, creating ripples.

"This guy is no ordinary person!" Xiao Chong shouted, spinning rapidly as his dagger transformed into a silver storm, trying to find a weakness in the undead captain.

Zi Yan then gathered her fighting spirit in the water, transforming it into several clones that launched attacks from different angles, attempting to distract Olivias.

"Your skills are not bad, little girl." The undead captain smiled contemptuously, his figure suddenly becoming blurry as he easily dodged all the attacks and counterattacked with astonishing speed. One of Zi Yan's clones instantly disappeared.
