Chapter 98 Voldemort and Dumbledore
Having captured Harry Potter, Snape couldn't hide his smile. "Potter, you should remember how to get to Professor McGonagall's office, right?"
Harry glared at Snape with a look of indignation.
He was worried about the safety of the Philosopher's Stone, but the other professors completely ignored him, especially Professor Snape, who was even trying to sabotage him.
Noticing Harry's eyes, Snape's gaze became slightly complicated.
But Snape felt nauseous when he saw Harry's face.
Let's go!
Snape led Harry and Ron to Professor McGonagall's office and knocked on the door.
"Come in!" came Professor McGonagall's voice from inside the office.
Squeak!
Snape pushed open the door and gestured for Harry and Ron to go in first.
Professor McGonagall was still grading assignments.
Hogwarts has around a thousand students, and even if each student only submits one paper per week, it would still be an enormous workload.
Therefore, the task of grading assignments is usually done by a special magic quill pen, and Professor McGonagall will only randomly select a few well-written papers to read.
"Severus?"
Professor McGonagall looked up and, upon seeing Harry and Ron, her face immediately hardened. "Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley, what are you two up to now?"
Professor McGonagall was so angry that she almost had a stroke.
If she remembered correctly, this was the third time Harry and Ron had been caught sneaking out at night.
The first person to catch them in the restricted area on the fourth floor was Filch.
The second time they were in the Forbidden Forest, Hagrid brought them back.
The third time... they were caught by Snape again.
Professor McGonagall was at a loss for words.
There are countless young wizards in the school who like to go out at night, but Professor McGonagall has never seen one get caught every time he goes out at night.
He's really bad at the game but has a huge addiction to it.
Harry lowered his head, feeling both ashamed and furious with Snape. "Professor McGonagall, Professor Dumbledore has left the school. That attacker will definitely take the opportunity to steal the Philosopher's Stone..."
"Dumbledore will handle the matter of the Philosopher's Stone himself."
Professor McGonagall looked at Harry with a stern face and said seriously, "Didn't I tell you already?"
If Professor McGonagall were fluent in Chinese, she would understand that Harry was acting like a eunuch who was more anxious than the emperor.
However, this is the result of many factors.
The cold reception from the Muggle community, the identity of a savior, getting points deducted on his first night out, the suspicion of others, and his sense of justice...
Simply put, Harry desperately wants to do something befitting his role as the 'savior'.
But in reality, he was just an eleven-year-old wizard.
"I..." Harry opened his mouth, but didn't know how to defend himself.
Yes, many people have told him that the professors would handle this, but he just can't seem to get through it.
"Professor McGonagall, I'm leaving the person in your care." Snape smiled slightly, feeling quite pleased with himself.
"Thank you!" Professor McGonagall nodded in acknowledgment.
Snape gave Harry a "good luck" look before turning and leaving Professor McGonagall's office.
……
On the fourth floor of the castle, in a dimly lit corridor, Quirrell was slowly moving forward step by step.
"Master...Master?"
Quirrell called out tentatively, "Are you still there?"
In the gloomy corridor, no one answered his question.
If you look closely, you'll see that the body under Quirrell's cloak is trembling.
"The Arahomon Opens!"
Quirrell opened the door at the end of the corridor and bent down to go inside.
"Woof! Woof—"
The three-headed dog roared, and its three heads simultaneously lunged at Quirrell.
Quirrell hurriedly pulled a harp from his pocket, which was enchanted with a spatial extension spell, and waved his wand to make the harp play automatically.
"Awooo..."
The three-headed dog indeed fell into a deep sleep.
Quirrell opened the trapdoor and waved his wand, throwing out a ball of light.
After seeing the mechanism below, Quirrell jumped down.
The several barriers beneath the trapdoor were clearly insufficient to trap an adult wizard like Quirrell. After some effort, Quirrell reached the final barrier protecting the Philosopher's Stone.
The Mirror of Eris.
This is a mirror that reaches all the way to the ceiling. Quirrell stands in front of the mirror and can see himself in the mirror holding the Philosopher's Stone and looking at himself with a smile.
"The Philosopher's Stone! It's the Philosopher's Stone!"
Quirrell was somewhat deranged. He suddenly turned his head to look at his hands, only to find that they were empty.
"What on earth is Dumbledore up to?"
Quirrell angrily pulled out his wand and pointed it at the mirror, but then worried that if he destroyed the mirror, the Philosopher's Stone would also disappear along with it.
"Master, Master... are you there?"
Quirrell turned and looked around. "Master, I have found the Philosopher's Stone."
In the empty stone chamber, only Quiro's voice echoed back and forth.
"Master...Master, are you...are you still there?"
Quirrell was starting to panic. Was Voldemort going to abandon him?
The figure in the mirror suddenly began to change. Quirrell turned around sharply to look at the mirror and saw that he was slowly turning into... Dumbledore...?
"Dumbledore!?" Quirrell panicked, staggered back a few steps, and collapsed to the ground.
Dumbledore stepped out of the mirror and glanced down at Quirrell.
Quirrell's hood had fallen off, revealing his bald head—not a single hair on it, nor Voldemort's pale face.
"Where is Voldemort?" Dumbledore asked seriously.
"I...I don't know..." Quirrell stammered.
Voldemort didn't travel with Quirrell at all. After entering Hogwarts Castle, Voldemort separated from Quirrell's body. He told Quirrell to find the Philosopher's Stone first, as he had other things to do.
Dumbledore sighed and immediately used Legilimency.
"Tom... Oh no!!"
Dumbledore was startled and had no time to deal with Quirrell. He simply waved his wand to bind Quirrell and then used Patronus to notify the other professors in the castle.
Having done all this, Dumbledore immediately turned and strode away.
If Voldemort could possess Quirrell, then he could naturally possess other people as well.
At this very moment, a healthy body is lying in the school clinic.
Tony Downs!
"It's over..."
Quirrell was utterly despondent.
Voldemort abandoned him, Dumbledore captured him... Between these two big shots, Quirrell felt as innocent and harmless as a sheep.
He didn't resist when Dumbledore appeared.
I wonder if Dumbledore will be more lenient with him because of this.
"waste……"
Voldemort's annoyed voice suddenly rang out, and a cloud of black mist drifted rapidly from a distance before attaching itself directly to Quirrell.
"Master...Master!" Quirrell was overjoyed; Voldemort hadn't abandoned him after all.
"Pick up your wand!"
Voldemort roared impatiently, his voice urgent, "Dumbledore informed the others, and they were used to obtain the Philosopher's Stone!"
