Chapter 91 Why should the dead concern themselves with the affairs of the living?

With nothing else to do, Andy waited quietly in the principal's office.

He dared not touch the magical items in the office, and the portraits of past principals hanging on the wall all looked drowsy. Andy's gaze swept around and finally stopped on the bookshelf on another wall.

As a Ravenclaw model student, reading books in the headmaster's office is quite fitting for my status, isn't it?

That's what Andy thought, and that's what he did.

Walking up to the bookshelf, Andy looked at the titles of the various books one by one.

The spellbooks that Dumbledore placed in the Headmaster's office were all precious tomes in the wizarding world, and some of the spells recorded in them were even more dangerous than those in the Forbidden Books.

Unveiling the Secrets of Cutting-Edge Black Magic

Andy paused for a moment, then reluctantly looked away.

Andy had spoken with upperclassmen at Ravenclaw, and they learned that Hogwarts doesn't teach dark magic. Studying there for seven years would equip one with the skills to handle most dangers in the wizarding world, and life there would be quite convenient.

The prerequisite is that you have to study diligently.

But black magic is different.

Perhaps it's because those dark wizards of the past were generally inhuman; in order to study dark magic, they often conducted some very cruel and taboo experiments.

Take Azkaban, the prison in the British magical world, for example. Azkaban was once a fortress built by a wizard named Extis, who seduced Muggle sailors and took pleasure in torturing and abusing them.

Rumors circulated that Extis had conducted many dangerous magical experiments in Azkaban, with Muggles as his subjects.

Andy had heard a saying in his previous life: the development of modern medicine is based on human trials.

In fact, not only medicine, but also the development of physics, chemistry and biology are all based on one experiment after another, only these experiments don't sound so bloody.

Andy also secretly read some books about black magic.

The development of dark magic was also built upon countless bloody experiments. Much of the dark magic originated from ancient dark wizards' research on Muggles and wizards themselves.

This includes multiple areas such as soul, bloodline, mind, life, and magic.

Without a doubt, the more talented a wizard is, the more likely they are to become obsessed with dark magic.

Because black magic itself is an exploration of the wizard himself.

In comparison, so-called white magic seems insignificant.

The magical mechanism at the entrance to the headmaster's office looks amazing, but a Muggle elevator can do the same.

Andy quickly scanned all the book titles, but finally settled on "The Secrets of Cutting-Edge Black Magic".

Andy took a deep breath and calmed his excited emotions.

By reading dark magic books in the principal's office, Andy felt he had already been very bold.

Andy had also suspected that Dumbledore might have deliberately placed the book there.

However, Andy was unconcerned about Dumbledore's probing.

Through their interactions over this period, Andy discovered that Dumbledore was an extremely tolerant person. Andy had already decided that if Dumbledore wanted to lecture him, he would listen obediently.

Admit your mistakes and correct them!

But before acknowledging the mistake...

Andy reached out his eager little hand and took down "The Secrets of Cutting-Edge Black Magic".

"Hey kid, that book isn't for you."

A stern voice suddenly rang out in the office.

Andy turned around and saw a portrait of a fat wizard with his eyes open, staring at him angrily.

Andy rolled his eyes. What right do dead people have to interfere in the affairs of the living?

Even if you are the principal, you cannot use the sword of the previous dynasty to kill the officials of this dynasty.

The Qing Dynasty is gone!

Seizing the opportunity, Andy took out his wand and tapped it against "The Secrets of Cutting-Edge Black Magic." After confirming there were no problems, Andy eagerly opened the book.

After only a few glances, Andy felt dizzy.

Realizing something was wrong, Andy quickly activated his brain-blocking technique, which made him feel a little better.

That's the downside of many magic books; because they contain magic, they also come to possess a certain magical power.

Due to time constraints, Andy quickly skimmed through the table of contents.

"Boy, didn't you hear me? Which college are you from?" The fat wizard was somewhat displeased, his tone quite stern.

"It's so noisy!"

Another portrait of a black-haired male wizard then spoke up, "What's wrong with a little wizard reading a book? Why are you interfering?"

The fat wizard retorted, "He's reading a book on dark magic!"

The black-haired wizard scoffed, "So what if it's black magic? Does that mean it's not magic? As the headmaster, I don't have such a rule in the school."

"So you are the most unpopular headmaster in the history of Hogwarts!" a witch portrait suddenly said.

Are they arguing?

Andy, ignoring other people's business, found the chapter on spiritual matters in the table of contents, quickly flipped to that chapter, and started reading.

As expected of a dark magic book, it's definitely different from a normal magic book.

A normal magic book will only teach you how to enhance the power of magic by regulating your emotions.

Many wizards understand this, but they simply cannot do it.

But this book of dark magic is different; it contains many methods for stimulating emotions.

They are all evil black magic; some harm oneself, and some even sacrifice relatives and friends.

Of course, Andy had no intention of learning these dark magic techniques.

Andy focused more on theoretical knowledge.

These theoretical knowledge were painstakingly researched by our predecessors through human experimentation, and they are the most precious treasure of the magical world.

"Which academy are you a junior wizard from?" the witch asked.

Andy looked up quickly and saw that the speaker was a witch wearing glasses.

"I'm a first-year student at Ravenclaw," Andy said, then continued reading his book.

The fat wizard scoffed, "I thought you were a Slytherin!"

"What's wrong with Slytherin? Explain yourself!" The black-haired wizard roared in fury.

The fat wizard said dismissively, "What's wrong with Slytherin? It's Slytherin who's corrupting the school's atmosphere! Look, even the first-year wizards are starting to secretly learn dark magic."

After saying that, he gloated to Andy, "Wait until Dumbledore comes back, and see how he deals with you."

Andy said calmly, "If the principal scolds me, I'll apologize obediently!"

The fat wizard: "..."

Has this person even considered the consequences?

The black-haired wizard retorted angrily, "What's wrong with learning dark magic? Dark magic is the essence of magic! It's because there are too many people like you that the development of the magical world has stagnated."

Andy looked up and said, "What the principal says makes sense. May I ask who you are...?"

The black-haired wizard was somewhat smug.

Andy was indifferent to the other principals, but he agreed with Andy's theories.

They were just portraits, but Andy was a living, breathing student.

Doesn't that prove he won?
