Chapter 90 This phoenix must be Hogwarts property, right?
Perhaps it was a meeting of minds, but when Andy first saw Snape, his biggest worry wasn't being put in solitary confinement, but rather being penalized by Snape.
Losing points isn't scary; it's embarrassing for whoever loses points.
Andy still remembers what Harry and Ron did at the school fifty minutes after they were caught sneaking out at night.
Even dogs would dislike them. They would sneak around everywhere, and even going to the auditorium for a meal required them to be discreet, only daring to go after most of the people had left.
Andy has a sense of pride and can't stand living like this.
"I want to send a letter to Headmaster Dumbledore."
Andy decided to confess and honestly handed the letter he had written to Snape.
Snape took the letter with a suspicious look, touched it, and then handed it back to Andy.
Out of politeness, Snape didn't peek at Andy's private messages, but that didn't stop him from deducting points from Andy's account.
A slight smirk played on his lips. "Collins, I didn't expect even Ravenclaw's best student would..."
not good!
Snape had barely started the conversation when Andy already guessed what was going to happen next.
It's just that Ravenclaw gets a 50-point deduction!
"Professor Snape, I just saw Malfoy."
Andy quickly interrupted Snape, "He went to the restricted area on the fourth floor."
Snape's words were cut off.
He sized Andy up and down, a hint of coldness in his eyes. "You think you can fool me with such petty tricks? Collins, slander..."
"It's true!"
Andy interrupted Snape again, "I'm writing this letter to Headmaster Dumbledore because of Malfoy. I suspect his memories were altered after the attack."
Snape always spoke slowly and in a calm tone, which gave Andy a good opportunity to interrupt.
Anyone who has played games knows that you should never use skills with slow casting times during PvP, otherwise you'll easily be interrupted.
Hogwarts is magical; as a professor, Snape could simply say "deduct points," and Ravenclaw's points would plummet.
However, since he is of a lower generation, if he wants to deduct fifty points from Ravenclaw in one go, he must first ask Professor Flitwick's opinion.
Once Andy understood this, he wasn't afraid at all.
"Hmm?" Snape looked at Andy casually.
Modifying memories was Voldemort's specialty, and Andy was different from ordinary young wizards. Since Andy said so, Snape didn't mind listening.
If Collins dared to lie, it would be considered night owl, slandering classmates, and deceiving professors—three offenses combined, enough to deduct 100 points from Ravenclaw's record.
This year's Academy Cup is a sure thing.
If Collins wasn't lying, then Snape could not only expose Quirrell and Voldemort's conspiracy, but also save Malfoy along the way.
"I'm not losing either way," Snape thought.
Andy gathered his thoughts. "As you know, it was me who had Malfoy contact the students and get Quirrell kicked out of Hogwarts. Malfoy and I agreed that we would meet privately after Quirrell left the school."
"But Malfoy seemed to have forgotten about it afterwards and had no contact with me whatsoever."
"When Malfoy was attacked, you reminded me to be careful of Quirrell. I guess old Malfoy will take Malfoy to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Injuries and Sicknesses to recuperate, so that Quirrell can take the opportunity to sneak into Hogwarts."
"But it was only after Professor Don was attacked that I realized something was wrong."
Andy said seriously, "So I immediately wrote a letter to Headmaster Dumbledore, reminding him to keep an eye on Malfoy. I didn't expect to run into Malfoy as soon as I got to the fourth floor."
Snape's expression darkened. "You're saying Malfoy went to the fourth-floor restricted area?"
"Yes!" Andy nodded.
Snape frowned slightly.
After the Christmas holidays, Malfoy returned to school. Snape personally checked Malfoy's luggage and also checked Malfoy himself, and found nothing amiss at the time.
He then learned from Dumbledore that Hagrid had reported something unusual about the Forbidden Forest.
This is practically a direct indication: Quirrell is hiding in the Forbidden Forest!
Several months passed, and both Dumbledore and Snape began to neglect Malfoy.
They even thought that Malfoy's attack was just an act of revenge by Quirrell.
But what if the disturbances in the Forbidden Forest and the attack on Don were all just Quirrell's way of drawing attention?
Snape didn't dare to be careless. "No need to send a letter. Go directly to the headmaster's office. The password is: cockroach pile."
After saying that, Snape ignored Andy and hurriedly walked into the corridor of the fourth-floor restricted area.
Andy: "..."
What kind of password is this?
Andy breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Snape's robes disappear around the corner of the corridor.
If Andy gets caught out while out at night, he can at least make excuses, but if Snape asks him what "SB" means, Andy really doesn't know how to answer him.
I just hope that time can heal all of this.
The principal's office was on the eighth floor of the castle, so Andy had to climb the stairs again.
The entrance to the principal's office was a gigantic, hideously ugly stone monster statue. Andy stood up at the entrance and exclaimed, "A pile of cockroaches!"
Click!
The stone statue jumped aside, and the wall behind it split in two.
Andy stepped inside, ascended the magical staircase, and arrived at an oak door.
Clang!
Andy knocked on the door politely.
"Please come in!" came an old and tired voice from inside the house.
Andy pushed open the door and went inside.
The principal's office is a spacious and beautiful circular room, illuminated by crystal and sapphire lighting, making it as bright as day.
A mahogany bookshelf occupying one wall is filled with many magic books, while portraits of past headmasters hang on the other wall.
In addition, the principal's office is filled with many magical alchemical items, which look incredibly valuable.
There was also a cabinet in the room, and the Sorting Hat was placed on the shelf of the cabinet.
To the left of the principal's desk, there was a tall, gilded perch, on which a phoenix stood lazily, curiously observing Andy.
Once I become the principal, all of this will be mine.
Andy was a little envious.
"Headmaster Dumbledore, you're still up so late?" Andy greeted him as usual.
"Mr. Collins, you haven't slept either, have you?" Dumbledore looked at Andy with a kind gaze.
"I originally intended to send you a letter, but I ran into Malfoy on the fourth floor, and also Professor Snape..." Andy briefly explained his purpose.
Dumbledore immediately became serious.
He stood up from his chair, paced around the office twice, and then suddenly looked at Andy. "Collins, you stay here. I'm going to check the fourth floor."
"OK!"
Andy responded first, and was about to ask if he could go back to his dorm first, when he saw the phoenix flap its wings and fly onto Dumbledore's shoulder. In a flash of fire, the man and the bird disappeared instantly.
"This phoenix must be Hogwarts property, right?"
Andy became increasingly eager for the position of principal.
