Chapter 59 The True Know-It-All in the Magical World

"Good evening, Mrs. Collins!" The old lady's voice was very soft, but Andy still heard her voice—even the cold night wind could not dispel it.

is her!

Bahida Bashat!

A renowned historian of magic, and also the author of textbooks on the history of magic.

Andy had seen this old lady many times when he visited his grandfather's house before, but he had never paid much attention to her.

Well, the main problem is that Andy is a little scared.

After all, the old woman's appearance was too frightening. She was like a wicked old witch from a fairy tale, who could give you a poisoned apple at any time.

It wasn't until Andy studied the history of magic and investigated the author of the history of magic textbook that he truly realized how remarkable the old man was.

This is the true know-it-all of the magical world.

She was older than Dumbledore and had been studying the history of magic since the last century—not just the history of British magic, but the history of magic throughout Europe.

"What's wrong?" Helen asked.

"It's nothing."

Andy gave a perfunctory reply, then said, "Does Mrs. Bashat live alone? I was thinking of going to visit her tomorrow and bringing her a gift or something."

"Alright!" Helen nodded.

"Aren't you afraid she'll eat the children?" Isabel blinked at Andy.

Andy gave the little girl a light slap on the head, sounding annoyed.

Andy had indeed tried to scare the little girl like that before, but she wasn't afraid at all; she had even gone to explore Mrs. Bashat's house.

Soon, the three of them arrived at Andy's grandfather's house.

"Hi, Andy! Long time no see! How's life at Hogwarts? Is there anything you're not used to?" Andy's grandfather, Norman Collins, was a very easygoing man. He looked a little chubby, but in a perfectly proportioned way.

"Everything is fine." Andy stepped forward and gave Norman a hug.

Grandmother Veronica Collins brought out some biscuits, fruit, and hot cocoa, and the group sat around the fireplace, reminiscing about their time studying at Hogwarts.

When Kyle got off work, the family had a big dinner together.

The next morning, Andy, carrying the gift Helen had prepared and his grandfather Norman's camera, went out wearing thick clothes.

Andy first took some photos at the war memorial, and then took some photos at the ruins.

There's a wooden plaque in the ruins with some blessings in memory of the Potter family, and many wizards in the wizarding world have left messages on it.

Andy decided to give these photos to Harry as a Christmas present.

These photos are both memorable and affordable, costing less than a single copper nut.

After taking the photos, Andy made his way to Bashida Bashat's house.

Asking seniors for advice is actually just like pursuing a girl.

First, you need to be thick-skinned enough. No matter what the relationship is like, just speak up when you meet. As for whether it will work out or not... you'll only know after you've spoken up.

If it succeeds, you'll make a fortune; if it fails, you won't lose anything.

Deng Deng Deng!

Andy knocked on the door.

Squeak!

A moment later, Mrs. Bashat opened the door shakily. "It's little Collins? Child, what can I do for you?"

"Mrs. Bashat, I've come to give you a Christmas present." Andy held up the present in his hand to indicate.

"You're so kind! Come in, child, it's cold outside." Mrs. Bashat stepped aside, gesturing for Andy to come in.

An old house, a white-haired, wrinkled, and hunchbacked witch, is inviting you into her house…

To be honest, this scene is a bit creepy.

At least Andy was somewhat terrified.

"Thank you, madam!" Andy said, forcing himself to go inside.

A fireplace was burning inside, and candles were lit on the walls, but the room was still somewhat dimly lit. The room wasn't too dirty, but Andy could still smell a damp, musty odor.

Most wizards do not really like cleanliness.

They just won't clean the room, even though it could be done with a single spell.

Perhaps they think this will make them seem more mysterious?

Andy's footsteps made a creaking sound as he placed the gifts he had brought on the table, then he looked around the room.

On the cabinet in the room was a curved box, on which were many photos. When Andy looked at the photos, the people in the photos were also looking at Andy.

Andy noticed that the man in one of the photos was very handsome. He had blond hair and a lazy demeanor. When Andy looked at him, he even winked at Andy playfully.

"Madam, who is this?" Andy asked curiously.

"That's my grand-nephew."

Mrs. Bashat said softly, "Sit down, child."

"Thank you!" Andy said, then casually found a chair and sat down.

"Madam, where is your grand-nephew?"

Andy continued, "Isn't he coming to celebrate the holiday with you?"

Being young has its advantages.

It's said that children speak without restraint, and some things that would be considered very impolite if said by an adult are often overlooked by others.

"He can't come."

Mrs. Bashat seemed reluctant to elaborate, and then asked, "Child, would you like something to drink?"

"Thank you, a cup of tea will do," Andy said.

After Mrs. Bashat brought over a cup of hot tea, Andy asked with a curious look, "Madam, I heard you used to be Professor Dumbledore's neighbor? I'm curious, what was Professor Dumbledore like as a child? Was he mischievous like other children?"

"Albus!"

Mrs. Bartholomew recalled, "The boy was very mature. He loved studying magic, and every time he came back from Hogwarts for holidays, he would hide in his room to read books and write papers."

"His younger brother even argued with him about this several times, saying that he neglected to take care of his sister because he was researching magic."

Does Dumbledore have younger siblings?

Well, that's normal. Everyone has family and friends in this world!

Andy feigned disappointment. "I was hoping to hear some embarrassing stories about Professor Dumbledore!"

"Embarrassing moments? Of course, there are."

Perhaps because Andy was young, or perhaps because she hadn't spoken to anyone in a long time, Mrs. Bashat gradually became more talkative after Andy asked several questions in a row.

She told many funny stories about Dumbledore's childhood, and she even introduced her grand-nephew to Dumbledore. They became very good friends.

This was originally nothing special; it was just a simple story of two young people becoming friends.

However, when Mrs. Bashat inadvertently revealed the name of her grand-nephew, Andy was completely stunned.
