Chapter 58 Godric Valley

On the night before the holiday, it snowed heavily at Hogwarts all night.

The heavy snowfall turned the whole world into a white expanse, and Hogwarts Castle was also covered in snow, looking exceptionally beautiful from afar.

As Andy left the castle, he saw Filch diligently clearing the snow from the open space. His face was red from the cold, and he only had a worn-out broom in his hand; he looked very pitiful.

After boarding at Hogsmeade Station, Andy and Hermione found an empty carriage. To avoid being disturbed, Andy even used magic to lock the carriage door.

The train moved slowly forward, getting closer and closer to its final destination, King's Cross Station.

Do you remember the first time we met?

Andy looked at the scenery rushing past the window and laughed, "Back then, you knew nothing about the magical world and looked so nervous. I never imagined that in the blink of an eye, that little witch would become a master of spells."

"What kind of spell master do I think I am?"

Hermione was a little embarrassed. "Besides, why am I nervous?"

"You say you're not nervous, so you're not nervous at all!"

Andy laughed and said, "Merry Christmas in advance. When the holidays come, you'll only see that phrase on Christmas cards."

"I wish you a Merry Christmas in advance, Andy!"

Hermione said softly, "Thank you for taking care of me these past few months."

As evening approached, the train stopped at platform nine and three-quarters.

"Hey, Neville!"

As Andy got off the bus, he saw Neville. Thinking they were acquaintances, he casually greeted him.

"Hi! Andy, Hermione."

Neville immediately ran over. "I was looking for you guys, but I couldn't find where you were sitting."

"Maybe next time!" Andy patted Neville on the shoulder.

After getting off the train, the group walked through the wall to the station hall.

Near the exit stood several Ministry of Magic employees dressed in Muggle attire, who were specifically responsible for altering the memories of Muggles who had been found to have anomalies.

Andy glanced at the crowd waiting to greet people and quickly spotted Helen. She was holding Isabel's little hand and waving at Andy.

"My mom is here."

Andy said, "Bye-bye, Hermione, Neville. See you at the start of the school year!"

After saying that, Andy waved to the two of them and quickly walked towards Helen and Isabel.

"Bye-bye, Andy!" Hermione waved back.

"Mom, and Isa, it's been so long!"

Andy gave the two of them a warm hug.

The little girl peeked out, observing Andy's classmate from afar, and asked, "Andy, is that little witch your girlfriend?"

"You mean Hermione?"

Andy, feeling a surge of vanity, nodded at the little girl. "Yeah, what's wrong?"

"How strange!"

Isabel pouted, looking a little unhappy. "How can someone like you find a girlfriend?"

"What kind of person am I?" Andy grabbed Isabel's cheek. "Little girl, explain yourself clearly!"

Helen quickly looked up. "Which one? Isa, are you sure you can see it?"

Hermione had already left with her parents by this time.

Helen felt a pang of regret. She rubbed Andy's cheek and said, "You met a girl at school, but you didn't even write to tell us."

Helen wasn't as easily fooled as Isabel; she didn't quite believe Andy would have a girlfriend in his first year.

What does an eleven-year-old know about love and romance?

However, that's how it is in the magical world: male and female classmates who are familiar with each other at school usually end up together after graduation.

That's how Helen and Kyle were back then.

So in Helen's view, even though Hermione isn't Andy's girlfriend yet, they're practically family.

It'll only be a matter of a few years!

"Stop looking, they've all left."

Andy shrugged. "I'll introduce you to him another time!"

Helen took Isabel's hand and said to Andy as they walked, "We're spending Christmas at your grandfather's house this year."

"Got it!" Andy replied.

Andy has quite a few relatives.

Andy's grandparents, maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents are all still alive. In addition, Andy has an aunt, an uncle, and a maternal aunt.

If you include more distant relatives, the number would be even greater.

My grandfather's family lived in Godric's Hollow, a well-known gathering place for half-wizards, where the founder of Gryffindor was said to have been born.

Isabel became excited as soon as she boarded the Knight Bus.

Andy couldn't help but suspect that this little girl might have come to the station with Helen just to get a ride.

"We're going to Godric's Valley," Helen said to the ticket seller.

After buying the ticket, the Knight Bus shot forward like an arrow, so fast that even the scenery outside the window seemed somewhat distorted.

"Wow!" the little girl exclaimed, as the Knight Bus was her favorite vehicle.

"Isa, how about I take you to a Muggle amusement park when I have summer vacation?" Andy decided to arrange for the little girl to go on water slides, roller coasters, bungee jumping and the like.

Let the little girl have a good time.

"An amusement park? What's that?" Isabelle asked curiously.

"It's a place where Muggle kids play games. I heard about it from my classmates," Andy said.

Isabel nodded. "Then it's settled."

"It's settled!" Andy rubbed the little girl's head.

Soon, they arrived at Godric Valley, and Isabel, looking reluctant to leave, followed Andy and Helen off the train.

In the middle of the village is a small square, and in the center of the square is a war memorial. Surrounding it are several shops, a post office, a bar, and a church.

The monument is enchanted; whenever a wizard passes by, it transforms into a statue of three people.

A disheveled, bespectacled male wizard; a long-haired, beautiful female wizard; and a baby boy held in the female wizard's arms.

This place commemorates Harry Potter and his family.

Walk along a path in the square to the end, and you'll see a large area of ruins—that's where the Potters hid from Voldemort.

Andy had visited there before.

Andy's grandfather's house was on the other side of the square. As the three of them were walking, a very old witch suddenly came towards them.

She was really old, and her hunchback made her look very short.

Her face was covered with wrinkles and brown age spots, and her eyes were very cloudy due to cataracts.

If she were a Muggle, she should be lying in bed right now, passing away.

But she was a witch.

So she was perfectly capable of taking care of herself. Although she looked old and frail, Andy doubted he could beat her.

"Good evening, Mrs. Bashat," Helen greeted.
