My Pokémon Story of Seasons

Chapter 33 The Seraphim and the Giant Vine

At noon, the rain stopped and the sun came out.

Sure enough, a rainbow appeared in the clear sky.

The group stood at the best vantage point on Windy Hill, overlooking the entire Wind-Swept Town.

A gentle breeze carried the fresh, post-rain air into everyone's nostrils. Tong Hua took a deep breath, the fragrance of earth and grass mingling with the delicate scent of wildflowers.

Mumu and Meimei were very happy and each picked up a paintbrush and drawing board to start painting.

Tong Hua stood aside and watched for a long time. To be honest, although Mu Mu's craftsmanship was average, he was quite good at drawing.

Meimei's parents seemed pleased to see her immersed in artistic creation; they stood quietly to the side, with smiles of satisfaction on their faces.

Meimei's father pushed up his glasses and said softly to his wife, "It's been a long time since I've seen Meimei so focused."

Meimei's mother nodded, looking at the two children with gentle eyes: "Mumu is a bit special, but surprisingly, he's very good at taking care of people."

Upon hearing this, Tong Hua couldn't help but glance at Mu Mu a few more times.

He was patiently guiding Meimei in color mixing. His hands, which were usually clumsy at handling wood, were now nimbly holding the paintbrush, sketching smooth lines on the paper.

Although his paintings are not particularly technically sophisticated or realistic, one can feel his mood when he was painting them just by looking at them.

He is truly gifted.

Meanwhile, rangers Soichi and Hitomi are using communication devices to contact the base.

Team leader Guanglang and the two senior members are still on their way back. The task has been successfully completed. Guanglang didn't hold back his praise, making Chuangyi and Renmei a little embarrassed.

"However..." Guanglang's serious voice came through the communicator, "Is there only staff left in the base now? If residents come to place requests now, it will cause delays."

Chuang Yi's expression hardened: "Understood! We'll return to base immediately!"

After hanging up the call, Chuangyi strode towards the group of people who were drawing.

"Sorry everyone, we'll be leaving now. We're short-staffed at the ranger base and have to get back to work."

"I understand, I understand." Meimei's father nodded repeatedly. "We will definitely come to thank you in person another day."

Chuangyi and Renmei turned and left. After a while, Meimei's family also had to leave.

"I'm hungry..." Meimei rubbed her tummy, put her paintbrush on the canvas, and looked up at her parents.

"It's almost lunchtime," Meimei's mother said with a smile, patting her head. "Shall we go back to eat? Mom made your favorite curry rice today."

Meimei's eyes lit up, but then she hesitated and looked at Mumu, "What about Brother Mumu? Do you want to come to our house for dinner?"

Mumu blinked, seemingly surprised. She looked down at her paint-covered hands, then looked up at Meimei's parents.

"Is it really possible?"

Meimei's father nodded gently, "Of course, Mumu, come on over. We'd also like to thank you properly."

Mumu's lips curled up slightly. Although her expression remained calm, a hint of happiness shone through her eyes.

He nodded slightly. "...Okay."

"Great!" Meimei cheered, immediately packing up her paintbrushes and easel. "Mumu, my mom's curry is super delicious!"

Mumu carefully helped her organize her art supplies, her movements even lighter than usual.

Looking at them, Tong Hua felt a strange sense of relief.

Although they hadn't spent much time together, he was genuinely happy that his junior brother had made a friend.

"not bad."

……

After everyone left, the giant vine returned to the treehouse alone.

The two Celebi that had been hiding their forms finally revealed themselves, floating lightly in the air.

"La beep!"

"MoMo?"

The giant vine paused for a moment, then quickly recognized the green Celebi.

They are old friends, and the shrine brigade deserves a lot of credit for building this treehouse.

At the very top of the giant tree, there is a shrine dedicated to the shrine.

"Momo!"

The giant vine stretched out its tendrils and gently touched the green shrub's little hand, greeting her.

Meanwhile, the pink Celebi circled the treehouse for a long time, its eyes filled with nostalgia.

"MoMo?" the giant vine asked. Who is that?

"La beep." I don't know, it seems to be... me in the future?

The rabbi hesitated for a moment and then revised his wording.

"La beep." Because time is not linear, sometimes traveling through time and space may bring you to another world, so I don't know if I can say that I am the future me.

"MoMo?"

This explanation left Vine even more confused. Fortunately, he was familiar with Green Celebi, and the two Pokémon started chatting about their experiences over the past few days.

"La beep".

It was supposed to be a chat, but actually the shrine was the main one talking, while the giant vines just played the role of listeners, occasionally giving a response.

Sherab began by recounting how she accidentally discovered people active on an abandoned ranch to the south. She explained that after observing Tong Hua for several days, she was so captivated by the dishes he prepared that she couldn't help but reveal her true identity.

Now he's basically living off Tong Hua, eating her meals all the time. Of course, he does help out, so it's not like he's just freeloading.

"La beep".

As for this treehouse, I probably won't be coming back often in the future.

"Momo..." The giant vine didn't say anything, but respected Celebi's choice.

The pink Celebi floated over, gently stroking the wooden wall of the treehouse, its eyes sparkling with tenderness.

The giant vine pulled over a small wooden stool and handed it to the two Celebi, then plopped down on the ground itself.

The wooden stool is the perfect size for a small child, but it's a bit too big for a shrub.

Surprisingly, the two Celebi sitting side by side actually looked quite fitting.

"La beep".

The pink Celebi sat on a wooden stool, gently swinging its little feet, its gaze tenderly sweeping over every corner of the treehouse.

She remembered some things from the past; she had once lived here, but that was a long time ago.

Time really can change a lot of things.

"Momo".

The giant vine took two tree fruits from a woven basket and handed them to the two shrubs.

These are their favorite sweet peaches; their sweet taste can make a shrub happy all day.

The pink shrine maiden took the berry, took a small bite, and narrowed her eyes slightly, revealing a nostalgic expression.

"La beep..." This tastes the same as before.

Green Shirabi also took a big bite, juice dripping down her chin. She wiped it off without a care and swung her legs with a grin.

The giant vines looked at them, swaying gently as if they were smiling.

The three chatted idly, and memories of Pink Silavi were gradually stirred up.

Although she still couldn't recall the most important part of her memory before the time travel, these heartwarming daily moments made her feel incredibly warm.

While painful memories can certainly warn people to stay away from danger, without happy memories to support them, the mind will surely collapse.

The most important thing in life is to be happy.

……

In the fairytale ranch, Tong Hua returned first with the grass turtle and the foam squirrel.

As we passed a pond on the way, we found a family of big-tailed raccoons gathered around it.

When Tong Hua went over to take a look, he found that more than a dozen fish had appeared in the pond from nowhere.

Half of them were Magikarp blowing bubbles...

"Beep beep!"

Seeing the expectant looks on the faces of the big-tailed raccoon and the big-toothed raccoon, Tong Hua immediately understood what they meant...

"How about hot pot for dinner?"

"Lili!"

The raccoon family's jubilant display left Tong Hua both amused and exasperated.

Don't you ever get tired of eating hot pot every day?

Tong Hua stood by the pond and looked down into the water. Only the carp he had caught displayed information panels representing their quality.

"So what makes a high-quality Magikarp different?"

Tong Hua observed quietly for a while and found that most of the carp were swimming calmly in the water.

Only a few C-quality Magikarp are full of energy, not only are they a size larger than the other Magikarp, but they also frequently leap out of the water.

"It seems that quality can indeed represent vitality. These high-quality Magikarp are more energetic and are more likely to evolve into Gyarados in the future."

Although Magikarp is weak and abundant, once it evolves into Gyarados, it can be said to have completely turned its life around.

Like a fish leaping over the Dragon Gate, transforming into a dragon in a single day.

However, somewhat counterintuitively, Magikarp is actually more valuable than Gyarados for ranching operations.

After all, Gyarados is known as a vicious Pokémon, is easily angered, and can breathe fire to burn down buildings and farmland, making it clearly unsuitable for raising on a ranch.

Although the Magikarp is small, it has a strong vitality and a good symbolic meaning, giving people a very inspiring feeling. It is very suitable to keep as an ornamental pet at home.

"In any case, since you're all being raised in the pond, you're all now part of Fairy Tale Ranch."
