Chapter 941 The So-Called "Ultimate"

Chapter 941 The So-Called "Ultimate"

The demon superhumans all self-destructed, but instead of creating a massive explosion, they turned into a large cloud of blood mist. Peter tried to use Vatum Wind again, but this time it was to no avail, and the mist still enveloped the area.

"I don't want to say anything, but the fact that Spider-Man can cast spells is a bit too weird." Ultimate Iron Man finished his rant and quickly added, "Also, the reason these blood mists can't be blown away is because they're too heavy. You know, the so-called mist is actually—"

"It's a water droplet, yes, I know."

Peter tried to break through the blood mist with his spider silk, but it blocked their way like a wall. Considering the large group of demons they had encountered before, whose fighting strength wasn't actually that strong, Peter had a bold idea.

"Is it possible that the master of these demons doesn't actually intend to fight us, but only to stall us?"

"Hold us back?!" The ultimate captain looked clearly angry and incredulous. "Are you kidding me?!"

We almost got wiped out here, and you're saying these guys just wanted to stall us?!

Peter wasn't surprised. The early storylines of Ultimate Team focused on political intrigue and dark humor, and the various characters in Ultimate Team, who were based on this, all had various flaws. For example, Captain America was a redneck maga who wouldn't question government orders, had a more volatile temper, and often acted by shooting first and then interrogating.

For example, Janet Witch, the Wasp, is a mutant with the ability to change size at will. Because she's a mutant, she's very insecure. Hank Pym is also insecure because his size-changing ability in the Ultimate Universe comes from studying the Wasp's DNA, and has nothing to do with Pym Particles. Bruce Banner is also insecure because he doesn't have superpowers and is just a science consultant, so he transformed himself into the Hulk, nearly wiping out the entire Ultimate Team upon his first appearance.

Oh, and there's Tony Stark. Tony Stark is still the same Tony Stark, except that he built the armor to control a brain tumor instead of a heart attack. Incidentally, that damn brain tumor has a self-awareness named Anthony, and that thing is actually an Infinity Stone from Earth 1610.

Wait a minute, if that's the case, does that mean Iron Man's brain tumor in Earth 1610 has been cured by the Beyonder?

Peter pondered the question for a moment before answering the Ultimate Captain's question: "If he really intended to kill you or us, these super-powered demons should have appeared long ago, and they shouldn't have just self-destructed. This shows that he doesn't not want to deal with us, but he doesn't have the time; he's worried or afraid that we'll find him."

"So you mean this guy who trapped us with a bunch of bastards is actually in dire straits himself and doesn't want us to cause trouble?" Ultimate Captain America finished with a cold laugh. "Then we'll have to go and lend him a hand. Thor, Stark, have you thought of a plan?"

"Rogers, this kid isn't me. He's from the future. This team is a multiverse team." Ultimate Iron Man clearly didn't intend to interfere with their conversation. Meanwhile, in the EMH universe, Yellowjacket was chatting with Ultimate Ant-Man and Wasp, while Hawkeye was checking his arrows: "You can't expect me to fan out fog that even a magical hurricane can't handle with a single arrow."

Ultimate Captain America sighed and looked at Ultimate Thor, who used his axe to create another hurricane, but still to no avail: "No, this fog is too dense, I can't disperse it."

"It's the same here!"

Thor from EMH exerted even more force and power, but the effect was the same, indicating that the fog was indeed very dense: "As far as I know, only the Sorcerer Supreme and beings of equal rank can cast such powerful magic. Spider-Man's magic cannot solve this, and neither can mine —"

Before he could finish speaking, the Yellowjacket, who was still chatting with his Ultimate Universe self and Janet, pulled out a pistol and fired wildly at the surrounding blood mist, instantly shrinking it to almost invisible. He then laughed and strode away: "Water droplets are still matter, friends. Pym particles shrink them to negligible size, and that solves the problem, doesn't it? Magic can't solve it; we need science."

"Why—never mind, I know, you find it amusing to see us in such a mess." Peter sighed and caught up with Pym. "I still think our Dr. Pym is better."

"Hmm? What stage is your Pym at?"

"I'm still feeling lost because of Ultron's rampage, but because of Vision, I don't think Ultron was a complete failure. That's about it."

As he walked, the man in yellow rubbed his chin, thinking that this was pretty good. Back in the EMH universe, Ultron and Vision weren't born at the same time. Ultron caused a ruckus first, and then Vision came into being, so he was immediately out of touch.

At this point, Yellowjacket glanced at the Ultimate Universe Ant-Man and Wasp behind him, then ignored them, shrunk down, and flew forward: "Alright, let's take a good look at what we've encountered that has kept the universe's biggest villain from dealing with us."

Pym happily flew further ahead, landing on a small hill and shrinking to his normal size. Peter and Captain Ultimate quickly followed, witnessing the battle unfold before them. Amidst the scattered remains of heroes and villains—whether native to Earth or fallen from the past—two identical figures were locked in combat. One was a demonic version of Iliana, over two meters tall; the other wore a levitation cloak, suggesting Iliana was the Sorcerer Supreme from some other universe.

Not only them, but their teammates are also there: Bruce Banner and the Demon Hulk in the Sorcerer Supreme version, Iron Man in the Sorcerer Supreme version, and Doctor Doom, who seems to be Strange in disguise. The two sides are engaged in a tense and exciting magical duel.

"I must say, I'm truly astonished by the diversity of the multiverse," Yellowjacket said half-jokingly. "What's next? Spider-Man, the Sorcerer Supreme?"

Then, an enormous thing descended and crashed heavily onto the ground.

That was the Sorcerer Supreme, Strange.

Version of Planet Eater.

Peter looked at Yellowjacket: "Obviously, Spider-Man, the Sorcerer Supreme, isn't exciting enough."
