Chapter 151 Zhou Stephen Strange Tree Man

Chapter 151 Zhou Stephen Strange Tree Man

On the Rainbow Bridge, Thor knelt on one knee, Mjolnir lying not far away. His long golden hair was plastered to his face with blood and sweat, and his breastplate was torn apart by Loki's dark magic. Around them, the last Asgardian warriors formed a circle, using their shields to fend off the endless waves of enemies.

"For Asgard!" Heimdall raised the sword Hofferder high, but even he was already teetering on the brink of collapse. Just as Loki was about to unleash his final blow, a dazzling golden light suddenly shone in the sky. A massive portal opened, and seven figures descended from the heavens.

"Looks like we've arrived just in time." Iron Man's hand cannon was fully charged, and he fired a cluster shot at Loki.

Loki hastily erected a barrier, only to be thrown back several meters by the impact. "It's you mortals again?!" he exclaimed, his eyes wide with disbelief. "How dare you—"

"Hey, Bambi, remember me?" Spider-Man shot out a web that stuck to Loki's ankle, then pulled hard. The force was so great that even the descendant of the Frost Giants couldn't stop him. Loki barely managed to maintain his balance, nearly falling over.

But Spider-Man's sharp tongue wouldn't let him off the hook: "You owe me an apology from last time in New York!"

Meanwhile, Ant-Man and the Wasp had shrunk to molecular size and were weaving through enemy lines. "Aim at their weapon interfaces," Hope said into the communicator, "Let them kill each other!"

Scott grinned. "Roger that, honey."

With that, he jumped onto the shoulder of a fire giant and attached the shrinking disc containing Pym particles to the giant's helmet.

The next second, the giant's weapon suddenly grew ten times larger, pressing him to his knees and forcing him to release the weapon. But this was disastrous for the allied forces around the giant. Most of the lucky ones were crushed into mincemeat on the spot, and a small number of unlucky ones lost parts of their bodies and lay on the ground wailing incessantly.

Captain Marvel was not to be outdone. She charged into the enemy ranks like a meteor, unleashing a burst of photon energy that cleared a vacuum zone.

"Thor, can you still fight?" She reached out and pulled Thor to his feet. Thor grasped Mjolnir, and lightning once more gathered on his hammer: "With you two here, I can fight all day!"

Thor is unaware that the faith in Captain America is crumbling.

Even if he knew, he would still wonder why—Asgard's social system is a civilization centered on theocracy, dominated by military culture, and possessing highly developed technology and magic. They enhance cohesion through frequent gatherings and major ceremonies, and their powerful productivity and martial culture mean they don't need to care about any systemic issues.

Most Asgardians do nothing but eat, drink, relieve themselves, and cut things up, especially a muscle-bound guy like Thor, who probably can't understand Steve's suffering.

Meanwhile, Doctor Strange was hovering in the air, countless magic circles swirling around him, neutralizing Loki's magic one by one. Strange was a true magical genius, although his early life, like Zhou Shuren's, was wasted in the field of medicine.

However, when he devoted himself to the realm of magic, his talent was fully realized, which allowed him not only to counter Loki's magic but also to help the Avengers and Asgardians on the ground.

Odin flew into the sky and roared. He threw Gungnir, the divine spear, which instantly transformed into countless tiny golden rays. These rays passed straight through all obstacles and brought Odin's punishment upon those scum who dared to offend the gods.

This attack killed over 80% of the combined forces of the Ten Realms present, but as a price, Odin nearly collapsed to the ground. It was his wife Frigga who caught him, preventing him from being humiliated in front of mortals. If reinforcements hadn't arrived, Odin would have used his divine power to send the Asgardians and Thor away.

However, Odin finally warned, "Loki is not in a good state; there is some strange and dark magic emanating from him."

Doctor Strange went even further and revealed the source of the magic.

"It's Dormammu!" As Dormammu's nemesis, Doctor Strange immediately recognized who was influencing Loki; he knew this dimensional lord all too well. In fact, his current lover was Dormammu's niece!

"Loki, the power of the Dark Dimension will devour you!" Strange shouted. "It's not too late to turn back!"

Loki's expression twisted in horror: "You understand nothing!" He unleashed all his dark energy, shrouding the entire battlefield in shadow. "I am the destined king of Asgard!"

Tony's visor scanned the energy readings: "Guys, this guy's energy level is off the charts! We need to attack together!"

"Avengers!" Thor raised Mjolnir, the sky ablaze with dark clouds, "hear my command!"

Upon hearing this, Iron Man couldn't help but spit out a curse, but the next moment, he had no choice but to fire his palm-sized cannon. Ant-Man grew larger and threw the same enormous weapon he had just used, while Wasp raised her arms and unleashed her wasp stinger.

Well, it's actually just an electrical pulse.

Captain Marvel unleashed an energy blast, Doctor Strange's Cytok red belt bound Loki, ensuring he couldn't escape, Spider-Man leaped high, his spider silk carrying a portion of what was once Asgard, which was thrown towards Loki—the massive boulder, carrying terrifying kinetic energy, reached Loki almost instantly.

Thor's summoned lightning finally arrived, and the seven attacks struck Loki's dark barrier almost simultaneously. In a blinding white light, the dark barrier shattered like glass. Loki screamed and was thrown onto the steps of the Golden Palace by the shockwave, as dark energy was forcibly stripped from his body.

Seeing this, the remaining soldiers of the Ten Realms Alliance who had not yet fled also began to retreat.

Under the watchful eyes of the other Avengers members, Thor walked up to Loki and looked at his brother, who was curled up on the ground.

Loki's eyes finally regained their familiar green color, but now they were filled with pain and confusion.

"Why—" Loki asked weakly, "why are there always people on your side?"

Loki lacked love from a young age. Odin never said "I love you" to him. Frigga was indeed able to treat Loki and Thor equally. She taught Loki magic and encouraged him to develop his own talents, rather than forcing him to become a warrior like Thor. But she was also the only person besides Thor who was willing to show him kindness.

Due to cultural reasons, other Asgardians disliked Loki—because he was treacherous and never fought with his own strength and courage. This was even more true after he came to Earth; the mortals disliked him even before they met him.

This made Loki even more determined to oppose the Avengers and those mortals.

Thor put down his hammer, knelt down on one knee, and helped Loki up: "You still have me. I'm still standing by your side."

Heimdall stepped forward and said hurriedly, "The rebels are retreating, but we need to rebuild our defenses."

Captain Marvel Carol nodded: "I'll be staying here for a while. Earth and Asgard are now official allies."

Helping you is also helping the Earth. The Earth is currently filled with conspiracies and schemes that I'm neither good at nor comfortable with. Just call me if you need anything; I'll be there anytime.

"Have fun here." Tony nodded, then removed his mask and looked around. "Seriously, am I the only one who thinks this place needs an elevator instead of a rainbow bridge? Also, is anyone hungry? I've only been in Asgard for a short while, and I'm already missing Earth's cheeseburgers."
