Chapter 150 The President's Bodyguards Weak as a Piece

Chapter 150 The President's Bodyguards Are No Match for Them

After learning that Rune didn't intend to simply find a moon god in another world to replace him, Kong Su breathed a sigh of relief and respectfully bid farewell to Rune. In DC, Kong Su had virtually no presence. The most troublesome pantheon in this world belonged to the Greeks.

Erica, the last member of the small group, also chose her equipment. Although it was a pity that Rune didn't have a special crafting service for jigs, Erica was proficient in many other weapons, and in the end she chose two daggers.

They were crafted from materials Rune obtained from the Atlantean people, containing venom sacs unique to deep-sea creatures, making them not only durable but also capable of poisoning their victims. She also took a ring; its function was simple: to eliminate all sound produced by movement and attacks.

"Have you all made your choices?" Rune looked at the heroes who were inspecting their new equipment, and they all nodded in agreement.

"Alright, then take your army with you while you're at it." Rune smiled and clapped his hands. The magicians who had been introducing the magical items and restocking the shelves returned to their original positions and took out some combat puppets from the surrounding area.

"Don't underestimate them because they're small," Rune picked up one of them, then let go, allowing the exquisite but miniature "toy" to free fall. Upon hitting the ground, the tiny "toy" transformed into an evil creature over two meters tall, its entire body covered in a smooth black exoskeleton.

The Punisher raised his gun in an instant, while Blade drew his twin swords from his back; but the next instant...

The two overly sensitive heroes breathed a sigh of relief.

"What a threatening creature," Frank remarked.

Blade nodded silently; he always felt this thing was even more terrifying than the vampires he usually hunted. Erica, on the other hand, really liked these horrifying creatures.

"They are born assassins."

In fact, Rune also created 13 Alien Queen puppets. With the enhancement of his will, as long as Rune channeled magic into these Alien Queens, these queens, three times the size of ordinary aliens, would automatically use surrounding materials to produce ordinary alien puppets. Although these alien puppets had lost their terrifying ability to absorb the host's genes, their sheer numbers, the terrifying defense, attack power, and agility enhanced by magic made them still formidable enemies.

"I call them Aliens. Thank you all for your appreciation, friends." Rune said with a smile, patting the Alien's head. "Each of you will receive fifty Alien puppets and a backpack to hold them, to assist you in your assassination missions and the final showdown with the villains, who will definitely outnumber you."

The beautiful puppets presented these terrifying war tools to the heroes present. Although these were just old junk that Rune had discarded, their quality was still quite good. You could always trust Rune's puppetry skills. And Rune believed that after this publicity, Doctor Strange and Doctor Doom would be eager to have his puppets.

This is Rune's true purpose. Besides being able to kill a few idiots to relax, he can also clear out outdated products.

You can also sell some products on the side. This business is so profitable!

Soon, the heroes were ready to go, and Rune sent them back, but the landing point was no longer Avengers Tower, but a white palace.

"I need to read some people's minds, does anyone have any objections?" Rune asked with a smile. The heroes present certainly had no objections, so Rune easily captured the President of the United States.

In the Marvel universe, the US president is protected by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and the Council on Superhuman Activities. The former is self-explanatory, while the latter is a special task force reporting only to the US president, primarily responsible for monitoring and managing superhuman activities to ensure that superhumans do not pose a threat to the president or American society. While superhumans certainly exist within this organization, they wouldn't last a second against Rune.

He only released a portion of his magic power, yet it immediately rendered all the superpowered individuals present unconscious, giving them no chance to even call for help.

After reading minds, Rune discovered that the current US president was indeed a Hydra spy. Furthermore, because Hydra believed that even if a hero attacked the president, Captain America would stop him, this spy was completely unguarded, which directly led to the exposure of all his associates.

In reality, if Rune hadn't launched a direct attack on the White Palace and instantly wiped out all the superpowered individuals protecting the president with overwhelming power, this president would have been Hydra's biggest asset in hindering the actions of the Avengers, X-Men, and other superhero groups. It was he who pushed for the passage of the Superhero Registration Act again, and it was he who instigated the civil war in Wakanda.

"Are all Americans this carefree?" Rune said something no one present understood. The next moment, several small, silvery-white snakes emerged from Rune's head and then burrowed into the minds of all the heroes present.

After a while, the heroes finally snapped out of the president's memory. Wolverine sneered, his adamantium claws snapping out half an inch: "I should have smelled the stench of these bastards a long time ago."

The Punisher didn't say much; he simply inspected his pistol magazine in silence, his eyes as cold as ice. Erica lightly twirled the dagger in her hand, a dangerous smile playing on her lips.

"Kong Su says the time for judgment has come." The voice beneath the Moon Knight's mask was sometimes deep and sometimes manic, and the power of the Moon God made his pupils glow with silver light.

Rakshasa narrowed her eyes: "As expected of the US government, they are not only good at persecuting mutants, but now they don't even spare ordinary people."

Blade, who had just come to his senses, was somewhat surprised: the vampires hadn't participated this time, which was a bit unexpected. However, it made sense; although the number of vampires was smaller than that of humans, they were still a huge group. Red Skull probably didn't want to share the whole world with those vampires. But this was also a good thing, because it meant that famous vampires like Morbius and Dracula were still potential allies.

"Now that we know this information," Rune said, sitting in the president's seat, and laughed, "Everyone, let's set off!"

The Punisher, who was silently organizing his weapons, glanced at Rune and asked, "And you?"

"Me?" Rune leaned back in the comfortable chair. "I'm going to find a media outlet and, in front of them, kill the President of the United States—or rather, kill a Hydra spy. That way, some heroes who haven't responded to Captain America's call will come—"

"But they will attack you." Logan looked at Rune with concern and said, "I know you are strong enough, but those superhumans have abilities that are too strange; even you could get hurt—"

"Furthermore, the villains gathered under Red Skull's command will come to try and kill you—they definitely will!"

The Rakshasa woman added.

"Don't worry," Rune waved his hand, "I was prepared."

One of his hands was in his pocket, where his secret weapon was—a silver-white lighter.
