Chapter 107 A Crow Sister Fell From the Sky

Rune disliked dealing with the Fallen Ones. These guys always liked to possess ordinary people, and the blood shed in battle was still that ordinary person's blood, making it impossible to use for magical bloodline fusion.

He casually summoned a large swath of raging fire, and as soon as the flames from this dark magic ignited, Rune heard a faint scream, but he walked straight into the depths of the alley without even bothering to give it a glance.

Just a moment ago, Rune read through the memories of this demon and the ordinary person he possessed.

This demon is considered quite powerful in Hell. While not as strong as Itrigan, he's certainly not an ordinary demon. If Clark had come, he might have been knocked unconscious by the sneak attack, but unfortunately, he encountered the ruthless Rune.

The possessed ordinary person wasn't any better. Or rather, ordinary people who can associate with demons are basically the scum of the earth. He was a not-so-devout cultist who sacrificed three of his distant relatives, and finally offered up his wife and children. But what he didn't expect was that while he was after the cult's "interest," the cult was after his "principal."

Ultimately, this sinful soul was chosen by the demon. With the aid of a series of ritual magic, the demon successfully descended to earth and possessed this ordinary person.

Meanwhile, his target was cowering, curled up, hugging her legs and afraid to look anywhere else. Around her was a magical shield that seemed to absorb all the light in the world. The shield exuded a profound, almost suffocating darkness, like an endless abyss that swallowed all light.

Just standing around this protective barrier made Rune frown. This descendant of the Three Palaces clearly knows magic, and he's even being targeted by a Fallen One... Why does he seem like someone he knows?

He opened his arms and clenched them in the air. The magical shield, originally a perfect circle, began to distort under the powerful magic of Rune, countless cracks appearing on its surface. These cracks spread out like a spiderweb.

The eerie red and black light flickered, as if it would shatter at any moment, yet it stubbornly held on.

Rune frowned and increased his pressure. Large red and black areas immediately began to appear on the surface of the shield, the edges of which were becoming blurred, as if it would be torn to shreds at any moment.

It's still not broken?

Rune grew increasingly impatient, clenching his fists tightly, and terrifying magical power poured out from his body.

The protective shield of the glara emitted a deafening roar, as if in a final struggle, but all was destined to be in vain. A flash of red and black light erupted, and with a deafening bang, the shield finally shattered into countless fragments, scattering like exploding glass. However, the fragments that landed on the ground in the shadows seemed to merge into the surrounding water, remaining motionless.

At this moment, what the shield was protecting was finally revealed: a girl.

Her skin was so pale it was almost transparent, devoid of any color, and under the shimmering rune light, it emitted a cold, ethereal glow. Her hair was a deep purple, not very long, only reaching her shoulders, and a red gem was set in the center of her head, now flashing with a dazzling red light, creating a striking contrast with her pale skin and adding to her noble and mysterious aura.

However, the girl with delicate features and beautiful eyes wore an undisguised look of fear. Her eyes flickered with panic, and her lips trembled slightly, as if she might burst into tears at any moment.

"Don't come any closer," she said weakly and tremblingly, her voice trembling with tears. She stepped back slightly, but the wall behind her left her nowhere to escape.

Rune frowned, carefully sensing the magic in the air, but his beastly senses told him again and again that the pure, almost indistinguishable, dark magic was indeed emanating from this girl. Moreover, this girl possessed terrifying power; the sense of threat even made Rune's skin sting.

You know, the previous Cassandra had never given him this feeling, so why does this little girl have such power?

Rune remained silent for a long while before asking, amidst the girl's increasingly desperate gaze, "Raven?"

The girl was clearly taken aback. Rune sighed. He hadn't expected to run into an acquaintance, but this one was a real headache: Rachel Ross, codenamed Raven. Unlike those half-demons who were called descendants of Trigon but had only obtained a few drops of Trigon's blood, she was the child of miracles born from Trigon's true form mating with a human woman—a genuine princess.

Raven inherited his father's immense magical power, enabling him to release his soul in the form of a giant black raven. He can sense the emotions of others and later evolves into someone who can control people's emotions and thoughts, and even devour their dreams and memories.

She also possesses teleportation abilities, enabling her to traverse dimensions and control shadows.

To put it another way, even Sannomiya herself kept a close eye on Raven because of her excellence. However, Raven had to constantly fight against her own evil side and suppress the dark magic within her, so her combat power was not high before she turned evil.

But after turning evil, she was even able to wipe out an army of more than three thousand demons in one go, including powerful beings who could instantly kill a young Titan.

So the question is, how should Rune deal with this little girl?

Half an hour later...

"Welcome to Sweet Honey Ice Cream Shop!" A young clerk wearing a pink apron with the word "Sweet Honey" embroidered on it greeted Rune and Raven warmly, holding the menu.

"Two of each ice cream," Rune said. Then, to the clerk's utter astonishment, he slumped into the innermost chair. Raven, meanwhile, cautiously walked to the opposite side of Rune and gently sat down.

She looked around. The ice cream shop was decorated in a warm and whimsical style. The walls were painted a soft pale yellow, and hand-drawn ice cream illustrations hung on them. Several pony-shaped chandeliers hung from the ceiling, casting a soft glow. Inside, there were several small round tables and comfortable chairs, each covered with a checkered tablecloth.

It was already late at night, and there were hardly any people on the streets, let alone ice cream shops. However, Rune was still grateful that the shop was open 24 hours, otherwise he really wouldn't know how to appease Raven.
