"Reveal immediately!" The guide drew his wand and tapped it three times in the air.
A faint white light emanated from the tip of his wand, and as if drawing back curtains, he pulled back the outermost illusion to reveal the wizard village inside.
Time seems to stand still here. The wizard village still retains its medieval architectural style, and they are greeted by a cobblestone road and several houses built of stacked stones.
These houses are very similar to the Weasleys' Burrow; although they look tall and crooked, they show no signs of collapsing at all, but rather are very stable and sturdy.
What attracts the most attention is the tall tent erected in the center of the village, its surface covered with red, yellow and blue stripes, making it particularly eye-catching.
The entrance to the tent was a tall archway, adorned with colorful, fluttering flags. Bright orbs of light around the flags were constantly flashing, creating a lively atmosphere.
At the very top of the archway hangs an even brighter sign that reads: Fantasy Circus.
Just then, a shark head appeared in front of Vizette.
He uttered a muffled yet menacing voice: "If you're interested in... a circus, you absolutely must come... come and take a look!"
Vizette instinctively took a step back, her wand already drawn.
"Cough cough cough... Sorry, I'm just a blood... Blood Curse Orc." The shark head suddenly disappeared, turning into a short man.
The man was covered in thick paint, dressed like a clown, and his short stature made him look particularly comical.
Even his gait was like this; every step he took was unsteady, as if he hadn't yet gotten used to walking on his feet.
"Here you go, as my compensation... my apology." The clown man opened his palm, revealing a small, cute shark plush toy.
He gently tossed the shark plush toy into the air, and it immediately floated up, circling around Vizet as if swimming in the air.
Hearing those somewhat familiar stuttering words, Vizette looked embarrassed. "I overreacted. Thank you for your gift."
“It’s what I…should do,” the clown man stammered, shoving a flyer into Vizet’s arms.
"We'll be staying here for two more days, and the last day's program will be especially amazing, and it's free! We hope you can come!"
Vizette picked up the flyer, which featured animated pictures and described various magically enhanced circus performances, the most spectacular of which was a shark show.
The performer must be the clown man in front of Vizette. He can transform into a giant shark and swim back and forth in the air, which is quite novel.
In her previous life, Vizette had never seen a circus performance live, so now she was genuinely intrigued.
Luna and her friends did the same, planning to spend two days exploring the village before watching the final circus performance.
After putting away the flyers, the guide led them to the hotel. When Vizet saw the hotel owner who came out to greet them, his eyes widened in surprise.
That was the old woman he saw on the lake.
The elderly woman smiled slightly at Vizette and said softly, "Welcome to Midgard. I am Anne Saru, the owner of this inn."
Chapter 25 Orminis and the Unopenable Pages
Anne Saloo's hotel, named "Fiderot," is distinct from the surrounding buildings and has a more English style.
Anne led Vizet and the others into the hotel, where they were greeted by a warm, soft yellow light.
The decor here is also distinctly English, with several magical oil paintings hanging on the walls depicting English countryside scenes and people working in the fields.
Upon entering the hotel lobby, you'll find a large fireplace surrounded by several armchairs, and a set of mahogany tables and chairs near the window.
For some reason, Vizette seemed to be able to sense a bit of Hogwarts in it.
The same is true of the guest rooms at the Federot Hotel, which have a living room style similar to the Great Hall at Hogwarts, and also feature a small fireplace.
The guest room is furnished with a four-poster brass bed, draped with green and silver-trimmed curtains, and complete with a bookcase and desk.
If the curtains were replaced with blue ones and embroidered with eagle patterns, it would be a carbon copy of the Ravenclaw dormitory.
Xenophilius was very satisfied with the room and patted the guide on the shoulder, saying, "Great! It must have been quite an achievement to have the hotel decorated like this."
The guide puffed out his chest and said, "Next time you travel to Northern Europe, be sure to look for 'Viking House'! We'll make you feel right at home!"
"You all take a rest first, I'll go and inform Mr. Orminis. We can begin our journey around lunchtime."
Xenophilius replied with a smile, "Of course!"
After leaving the room, the guide scratched his head, his tone tinged with confusion, "How did it become this style... Last time I came here, it was still the traditional Swedish style!"
……
After seeing off the dedicated guide, Xenophilius rubbed his hands together and said impatiently, "Once Mr. Orminis arrives, we can go find the Curved-Horned Snoring Beast!"
"Daddy, that's great! We can finally see the Curved-Horned Snoring Beast!" Luna was also very excited, and she took Xenophius's hand and started dancing in the guest room.
Vizette sat at the table to the side, a smile on her face, but a hint of concern in her eyes.
The old woman I saw on the lake was actually the hotel owner.
The hotel's decor is also very similar to Hogwarts, and these coincidences combined make it seem rather deliberate.
He looked at the wall, where a small notice board hung, bearing a very vague arrest warrant from the Swedish Ministry of Magic.
The wanted poster features an animated image depicting a cloud of black mist rising into the sky and destroying surrounding buildings.
Below is an additional line: Anyone who discovers traces of the Obscurial, provided the information is verified, can receive 100 Galleons. The information form is below...
“It looks quite tempting.” Xenophilius pulled out a chair and sat down. “But don’t worry, it’s only a hundred Galleons. We won’t sell you out.”
Luna pulled out a chair and sat down opposite Vizet. "Was it because of what happened while rowing? It doesn't seem to be the interference from the harassing fly."
“You’ve swatted away all the harassing flies,” Vizette said with a slight smile.
Luna was always so perceptive that she could read his mind.
Looking at Luna's concerned expression, he let out a soft breath and said, "I saw a figure on the lake; it was the owner of this hotel, Anne Saru."
"She was holding a bouquet of white lilies, probably mourning something... and her face looked slightly sad. But in the blink of an eye, she disappeared. I thought I was seeing things."
"Is that so?" Xenophilius stroked his chin. "It's alright! We'll go find the Curved-Horned Snoring Beast this afternoon, and I'll ask about it for you when we get back for dinner."
Wizette frowned slightly. "Mr. Lovegood, isn't this a bit too abrupt?"
“I’m the editor-in-chief of Quibbles,” Xenophilius waved his hand. “This place has a long history, and we’re sure to find some good material here.”
"Of course I'll seize the opportunity to see if I can get any useful anecdotes to publish in the magazine. Since I'm already here, I should at least make sure the Gallon I spent was worthwhile, shouldn't I?"
Wizette nodded. "Thank you, Mr. Lovegood."
-------------------------------------
Putting aside any concerns about Anne Saru, staying in this wizard village is indeed a pleasant experience.
After lunch, before Ominis arrived, Vizet and Luna went outside the hotel and strolled along the surrounding cobblestone paths to digest their food.
It was only then that Wizette discovered that there were also wanted posters from the Swedish Ministry of Magic in the village, but he hadn't noticed them because of the clown man he had encountered earlier.
Luna was very excited the whole way, occasionally raising her hand to touch the light spot, then watching the light spot pass through her palm, float lightly to the ground and disappear.
It has to be said that both the people and the scenery have a dreamlike quality.
As an ancient wizard village, it also possesses countless ancient magical powers.
During her walk to digest her food, Vizette slowly illuminated the map in her mind, collecting the ancient magical power contained within it.
Having arrived in a new place and collected a considerable amount of ancient magical power, he naturally wanted to unlock new ancient magic.
He half-closed his eyes and channeled ancient magical power into "The Wizard's Practical Guide".
Countless silver-blue rays of light continuously flowed into it, and Vizette keenly noticed something: the pages were turning extremely violently this time, as if powerful ancient magic was about to emerge.
However, after The Wizarding Guide to Combat absorbed all the ancient magical power, it still did not reveal any new content, which caught Vizet somewhat off guard.
He closed his eyes, recalling his past experiences, "It seems this is the first time... I've encountered pages that require so much ancient magical power."
"No! We also have to include that experience at the beginning of the semester... The ancient magical power of the entire Diagon Alley was used to open the Eye of Magic."
Luna reached out and placed her hand on the back of Vizet's hand, gently shaking it as she said, "We should go back now. I see Dad waving at us."
Vizette's consciousness returned to reality, and she looked in the direction of the Federot Hotel.
Beside Xenophius stood an old man dressed in a green-trimmed robe.
Unlike ordinary people, the old man had a pair of unusual gray-blue eyes that seemed completely unfocused, giving him a somewhat lifeless and chaotic look.
The old man had a fair complexion, and although wrinkles marked him with the passage of time, they did not diminish the noble air that emanated from his bones.
He waved his wand gently, bowed slightly to the three of them, and said in a gentle tone, "Hello, you can call me Orminis. I'm the one who provided the information about the Curved Horned Snoring Beast."
Vizette and Luna exchanged a glance, then simultaneously turned to look at Xenophius, their eyes filled with questions.
Xenophilius shared the same confusion, touched his nose, coughed lightly, and asked, "You mentioned before that you obtained its horn... Would you mind showing it to us?"
“Of course, no problem!” Orminis smiled slightly and turned to call out towards the Fedroth Inn, “Annie, please give me the horn of the Curved-Horned Snoring Beast.”
Chapter 26 The Figure by the Pond
Ominis explained softly, "Annie and I are good friends. When we went mushroom picking together in the mountains before, she happened to see a beautiful magical creature."
"The magical creature let out a long, drawn-out cry as it slowly shed its horn, then discovered our tracks and quickly fled into the depths of the jungle, leaving this behind..."
It was a long horn shaped like a rhinoceros horn, with a ruby-like texture, looking like a naturally formed work of art.
Xenophirus examined it with great seriousness, gently stroking the grooves of the horn with his hand, and even casting a magical illumination spell on the horn as if checking its translucency.
Vizette searched the books in her mind, but could not find a corresponding long horn.
