"Brother, you're a liar."

"fraud."

"fraud."

"big liar."

"The rabbit is crying too."

She murmured softly, clearly heartbroken, but unable to shed a tear.

Bai Ziling picked up the picture book from the water, drooped her head, and walked out of the pond. Her soaked sandals left footprints of varying depths on the playground ground.

A boy came over and tried to snatch her picture book.

Bai Ziling raised her head, opened her mouth, and revealed sharp teeth. The boy froze for a moment, then fell to the ground in fright. The surrounding boys stared at her with astonishment.

"Did you see her teeth?"

"I thought I was seeing things?"

"Is there a monster?"

"Foreigners' children are just different."

Bai Ziling was stunned for a long time, then shut her mouth, hugged the picture book tightly, and ran home.

She hid in the bathroom, locked the door, placed the sketchbook on her lap, and opened it. In the dim light, she looked at the page; the rabbit's smile was blurry.

She tried to smile like the rabbit, but couldn't manage a smile. She stretched out her finger, and her nail, which had suddenly become sharp, scratched the wet rabbit, shattering its face.

The girl stood there stunned for a long, long time, as if she had accidentally broken something, tears welling up in her eyes. She picked up the scissors, cut the torn-faced rabbit out of the picture book, and set it aside. Then there was her already short white hair.

Finally, she crouched down amidst the scattered scraps of paper and strands of white hair, quietly staring at her own red eyes reflected in the water.

"Xiaoling, are you alright?" Second Brother's voice came from outside the toilet.

"What's wrong with this child all of a sudden?" came the mother's voice.

"Xiaoling, open the door." It was her father's voice.

"Did something happen at school?" came the older sister's voice.

"Little Ling, stop playing hide-and-seek!" came the voice of the second sister.

"Open the door and tell your brother what happened," came the older brother's voice.

"She probably doesn't want you guys to bother him," came the younger brother's voice.

"Oh, what are you saying, kid? Your sister is already like this." It was her mother's voice.

Finally, the group of people outside the restroom were whispering something. Bai Ziling couldn't hear clearly; she only felt that the voices were very, very far away.

She stared blankly at the cut-off rabbit, tears falling to the ground in a steady stream.

I feel like this world is so far away from me.

It felt as if both myself and the rabbit had been cut off.

Suddenly, a man sat down outside the toilet door and whispered, "If you open the door, I'll take you with me to run away. We can run to a place where no one knows us, and we can not say anything. No one will blame you."

Bai Ziling peered through the door and quietly watched the silhouette reflected on it.

After a while, she stood up, walked over, and opened the door.

Ke Mingye stood up from the ground, lowered his head and walked into the bathroom. He took her hand and led her through the middle of his family.

The two of them quietly walked out of the house.

She sat on Ke Mingye's bicycle and leaned against his shoulder.

On the bicycle, Ke Mingye carried her away into the brightly lit night. The two watched the fireflies in the fields and the pond in the distance, without saying a word.

In the evening breeze, his silhouette seemed to whisper something, yet also seemed to say nothing at all.

Bai Ziling leaned against his back, gently inhaling his scent, and softly asked a question.

"Brother... if I were a vampire, would you take me home?"

Ke Mingye didn't say anything, just smiled gently, and then continued driving forward with her.

Suddenly, a familiar scent wafted to my nose.

Bai Ziling slowly lifted her heavy eyelids. When she opened her eyes, the arrow that had pierced her chest was already on the ground. She raised her head, and raindrops pattered against her cheeks.

I looked ahead in a daze.

A figure wearing a tattered T-shirt with blood stained shoulders was reflected in the blood-red eye sockets.

"elder brother?"

Upon hearing this, Ke Mingye was taken aback for a moment, then turned to look at her and said softly.

"Wake up, I'm here to take you home."

Chapter 204 Major Event Two: Vampire Hunter (Part 7)

The rain poured down, turning the old Jingmai neighborhood into a chaotic mess. Dense parasitic puppets roamed through the rain like a parade, ravaging the buildings along with the storm.

"There are just too many zombies to deal with..."

The girl in the gothic dress crouched on a rooftop, her skirt draped over the rain-soaked floor. She first placed a magic umbrella filled with paralyzing bullets on the railing, then unleashed a barrage of fire at the parasitic puppets on the street.

One by one, the puppets hit by the paralyzing magic missiles fell down.

After emptying a magazine, she frowned as she reloaded the magic umbrella with magic cards, thinking, "I can't just blow their heads off with one shot, and I don't know what's wrong with my brother, but I can't just leave these people here..."

Just then, Ash suddenly felt a surge of heat coming from afar, and looked over in surprise.

Not far away in the sky, Black Wukong, riding his somersault cloud and wearing a silver-white battle suit, raised his right hand and looked down in the direction of her gaze. In a corner of Old Jingmai Street, the Samadhi True Fire, which was burning fiercely, surrounded the parasitic puppets, leaving them nowhere to escape.

Even so, the puppets showed no fear, continuing to charge and crash into the crimson-gold flames. Seeing this, Black Wukong had no choice but to quickly disperse the flames to prevent them from being burned to ashes in an instant.

“They have no self-awareness…not even a fear of death,” Black Wukong thought. “Have they forgotten their instincts when they were being controlled?”

"Why is it you again, you stinky monkey?"

Magical Girl Ash raised her umbrella and soared into the sky, asking Black Goku a question as she flew towards him.

"Don't argue at times like this..."

As he spoke, Black Wukong turned his head and glanced at her through the monkey mask, "I'll leave this to you. I have other things to attend to urgently."

“Huh? That’s exactly what I was thinking,” Ash replied.

Hearing this, Black Wukong was slightly taken aback.

She suddenly recalled Bai Zini's anxious look when she saw the news in the living room. She thought that Xiao Ni's thoughts must be the same as hers, both thinking about saving Ming Ye... So Xiao Ni and Ming Ye are so close, does she already know Ming Ye's identity?

Then let her go find Mingye, I'll stay here and check on how things are at home.

Thinking this, Black Wukong said, "Then you go ahead with your work, I'll take care of things here..."

As she was speaking, her words abruptly stopped. A loud, booming sound, like the tolling of a bronze bell, came from not far away, immediately attracting the attention of Black Goku and the magical girl Ash.

The two didn't even make eye contact or exchange a single word before reaching a consensus in their hearts. One rode on a somersault cloud, while the other sat on a magic umbrella and flew swiftly in that direction.

When Black Wukong's fiery eyes finally saw the scene on Sixth Street, a look of astonishment ignited in his pupils.

"Little...Ling?"

She stared at the figure pinned to the billboard by an arrow on the street, muttering to herself.

"That's Xiao Ling!"

Gazing at the white-haired girl being scorched by the flames, the scarlet pupils behind the mask shrunk sharply in an instant, then contracted to the size of a needle thread. Immediately, the somersault cloud beneath her feet surged and churned, carrying her wildly downwards from mid-air towards the street.

"Why is this black monkey in such a hurry?"

Magical Girl Ash murmured, a beat slower than Black Goku, before she lowered her eyes to see the scene on the street.

Her first sight was of the black dragon battling the giant, then her gaze shifted abruptly to a raincoat-clad man and a ninja-dressed swordsman fighting on the surface of a tall building in a corner of the street. Finally, she saw the white-haired girl pinned to a billboard by an arrow. Her head was bowed, tears of blood streaming from her eyes, and the city map behind her had been completely corroded by the flames.

"Long, those are elementary school students!" she thought. "And Xiaoling, what's going on?!"

Her brain was almost shutting down when Ash decisively abandoned thinking, retracted the magical ripples spreading from her umbrella, and made a high-altitude descent. Her jet-black hair was lifted against the rain curtain, and her skirt fluttered in the wind and rain.

In just a few seconds, she and Black Goku landed on the street together.

"Let her go!"

The moment the ashes touched the ground, she sprinted forward, her lightning-fast steps splashing raindrops that reflected her sharp, fierce face. As she drew her katana from under her umbrella, she lowered her gaze and hissed at Stroll in a menacing tone.

"Wow... your two good older sisters are here too." Stroll was about to reach her right hand towards Bai Ziling's chest when she heard the commotion and turned her head slightly to glance at Black Wukong and Ash.

Howard, seated on his horse, raised his twin pistols and pulled the triggers on Black Wukong and Ash respectively. Gunpowder, glowing with a ghostly blue rage, shot out, cutting through the rain.

Immediately afterwards, two shrill blue flames exploded, almost engulfing all colors and raindrops.

Ash opened the magic-encased umbrella to shield herself, but she was still blasted several meters away and crashed into a shop window, shards of glass scattering all over her skirt.

Black Wukong reacted swiftly, using his somersault cloud to dodge the bullet by a hair's breadth. At the same time, he leaped high from the top of the cloud, raising his staff to smash it down on Howard's head.

"Luo, hurry up, these two women are not to be trifled with. Take that vampire's heart and we're leaving."
