The Return to Hogwarts

The Muggle in front of you is not the wizard who actually wrote the invitation to Amosta, but an innocent Muggle controlled by the Imperius Curse, one of the three unforgivable curses.
Amelia stood up abruptly, instinctively reaching for her wand. However, just before she did so, she realized she was in Muggle territory and couldn't reveal her magic in front of these people!
"No matter who you are, you will be punished by law!"
Amelia looked coldly into the Muggle man's eyes and said.
“This Auror lady,”
After a moment of silence, the Muggle man said in a low voice,
"I have already been punished."
Then, he looked at Amosta, about to say something, but Amosta raised her hand, stopping the man from speaking.
“I will not communicate with anyone who is hiding their true identity. If you want to talk to me, make sure that Muggle you are controlling leaves safely and come to me in person.”
The Muggle man's expression changed, and he tried to struggle again, but Amosta gave him a stern look, and the thunderous pressure made it hard for him to breathe, and even the chandelier above his head flickered a few times.
"I'll only wait for you for ten minutes."
The coffee in his mouth was fairly full-bodied, but compared to the crisp, sweet aftertaste of green tea, it still didn't suit Amosta's taste. He gently set down the porcelain cup and said indifferently,
"I will leave in ten minutes."
As he spoke, Amosta gestured with his chin toward Amelia.
“You only have ten minutes to ‘devour’ these delicious meals, Amelia, don’t waste them.”
Amelia astutely understood Amosta's purpose in saying that. She gave the pale-faced Muggle man a cold glance and silently began to devour the cheesecake on the table.
Seeing this, the Muggle man's expression changed repeatedly. He had sensed Amosta Blaine's determination. If he didn't come here in person, Amosta Blaine probably wouldn't communicate with him anymore.
but--
The Muggle man glanced at Amelia. If he showed up before making a contract with Amosta, and Amosta Blaine changed his mind and captured him right there, he would be doomed!
"Nine minutes left."
Amosta said calmly.
If I stay in New York, I'll be doomed sooner or later. I might as well take a gamble; maybe there's a chance for survival!
The Muggle man gritted his teeth inwardly.
"please wait."
After saying this, the Muggle man hurriedly left, exiting the coffee shop under the bewildered gaze of the waiter.
Aren't you worried that he'll run away and never come back?
After the Muggle man left, Amelia no longer hid her worries and leaned forward to ask anxiously.
"do not worry--"
Amosta said it casually, without giving his reason.
The ten minutes passed in the blink of an eye, yet felt incredibly agonizing. Amelia kept biting her lip, her eyes constantly glancing towards the door. She didn't understand why Amosta was so confident, but this was indeed one of the few times the Security Department had recently handled a case involving a poacher of a Level 5X high-risk creature.
She knew why this criminal gang was doing such outrageous things, but if such a magical creature appeared in a Muggle neighborhood, the consequences would be absolutely catastrophic!
Amelia glanced at the wall clock every now and then, watching the seconds tick by, her anxiety growing stronger.
The girl who had been playing music earlier changed into a light purple dress in the lounge and reappeared in the lobby, leaning slightly towards the men who were applauding her.
clang-
Just half a minute before the ten-minute deadline given by Amosta, another man wrapped in a gray coat burst into the coffee shop. He ran all the way in, ignoring the waiter's inquiries, and his suspicious appearance even startled the girl playing the music.
She stared in horror at the man's deathly pale face, staggered back a few steps, and accidentally bumped her arm against the corner of the piano, her face immediately contorting in pain.
"This gentleman!"
A waiter helped the girl back to her lounge, while another waiter caught up, shouting angrily.
"I am coming."
Ryuhei Sato finally stood breathlessly in front of Amosta and Amelia.
Amosta waved to the approaching waiter, then looked at the wizard she had met twice before, her eyebrows slightly raised.
"Then, please have a seat--"
Chapter 925 Ambush (Part 1)
2024-05-18
Ryuhei Sato – a black wizard burdened with at least two, no, three, crimes.
He is suspected of casting a curse on congressional staff at immigration upon entering New York to evade search, which constitutes illegal entry; the Department of Security has confirmed that the saccharine leopard that caused the deaths of several Muggles that night was brought into New York by this wizard, which constitutes illegal smuggling of rare magical creatures and his own actions causing a major incident with extremely negative consequences; and the use of an unforgivable curse to control innocent Muggles.
With these three charges combined, there is no doubt that Ryuhei Sato will be sentenced to death.
In Amelia's opinion, Amosta should arrest this heinous criminal immediately, rather than getting involved with him further.
Before the world-renowned legendary wizard, the dark wizard appeared unusually awkward and uneasy. His two fists, hidden under the table, were clenched tightly, and his shifty eyes were constantly observing Amosta's expression and the movements around him. As soon as he sensed any disturbance, he would immediately Apparate away.
"I'm very sorry, Mr. Blaine, please forgive my rudeness just now--"
Ryuhei Sato nodded respectfully to Amosta, suppressing immense pressure, and lodged a protest.
"But now that I have shown my sincerity, could you please let this Auror from the Magic Council leave?"
Amelia immediately glared angrily at Ryuhei Sato, while Amosta calmly said,
“Amelia is someone I trust, and I don’t see anything wrong with her being here. Besides, frankly, I don’t think you have the right to negotiate with me as an equal.”
The person I trust means Amostra Blaine's spy within the Magical Congress of America?
Amosta's dismissive attitude did not displease Ryuhei Sato at all. In fact, he thought it was perfectly normal. Amosta Blaine's willingness to accept the invitation was already a great honor for him.
What Long Ping was more concerned about was Amosta's trust in this young female Auror, if his guess was true.
Long Ping took a few breaths and temporarily lowered his guard against Amelia.
"Then tell me why you want to see me—"
The dark brown coffee in the cup lost its temperature while waiting. A fleeting spark from Amosta's fingertip fell into the cup, and then wisps of white smoke rose from it. He leisurely sipped his coffee and looked at Sato Ryuhei with indifferent eyes.
After a few moments of silence, Ryuhei Sato said in a somber tone,
"I hope to have your help in getting me out of New York."
Amelia's angry gaze suddenly turned icy.
It's utterly absurd that a dark wizard who has committed so many crimes would ridiculously expect to escape legal punishment.
Amosta remained silent, her gaze fixed on Ryuhei Sato with a heavy, unwavering intensity.
Seemingly aware of the abruptness and whimsy of his request, Long Ping nervously bit his lip.
“I can solve the problem you’re facing right now, Mr. Blaine. I know you’ve come to New York to promote those alchemical gadgets called Learning Machines, because this matter has been blocked by Trak Grevis of the Security Department.”
As I mentioned in my letter to you, I know exactly who those poachers of magical creatures are. If you can help the Security Department solve this big problem based on the clues I provide, I think Grevis wouldn't mind giving your business a break!
Amelia's eyebrows shot up, her expression turned somewhat strange, and she even felt a pang of sympathy for the dark wizard.
"Mr. Blaine?"
Amosta Blaine did not show the interest that Long Ping had expected, which made Long Ping's unease surge again. He had come to Amosta Blaine because he had nowhere else to turn, but he did not expect that after he had played his biggest trump card, Amosta Blaine would still be so indifferent.
"Have you been being hunted down?"
Amosta tilted his head, his sharp gaze piercing through the coat covering Ryuhei Sato and revealing his true condition.
Long Ping hadn't expected to be able to hide his condition. His eyes turned sinister, and he nodded slightly.
No wonder—
Amosta remained calm.
"I think the person who was hunting you down is the one who traded the venomous leopard with you. To avoid being hunted down, you probably hid in Muggle territory, which is why you were cut off from news and didn't even have a chance to buy a newspaper to see today's hot news."
"I regret to inform you, Mr. Sato, that I have already reached a preliminary agreement with the Magical Congress, and the promotion of the learning machine is no longer a problem."
Upon hearing this, Sato Ryuhei's expression changed drastically. He knew that the Magic Congress had organized a joint review committee for the application to promote the learning machine, but he believed that Blaine would not pass the review smoothly, since Grevis had blocked the matter for so long and had shown such obvious hostility towards Amosta Blaine.
In the instant the thought flashed through his mind, Long Ping knew that today's actions were a complete mistake.
His body tensed instantly, and the wand hidden in his sleeve slid into his hand concealed beneath the table, but—
Benedict!
Before he could move, Amosta tapped his finger heavily on the table. Where his finger touched the surface, a hidden, dark cursed light flashed in Sato Ryuhei's terrified eyes. Immediately afterward, he found himself unable to move!
Amelia belatedly realized that the dark wizard was trying to escape. She prepared to get up, but Amosta grabbed her arm.
"Don't panic, he can't leave—"
Amosta said calmly.
"You're going to hand me over to the Magic Congress?"
Despair filled Sato Ryuhei's eyes.
Just then, two new guests entered the restaurant. The two tall, well-dressed young men seemed to have made an appointment as well. They dismissed the waiter who came to greet them and went to the middle-aged man and woman on the other side of the large sailboat model. After leaning over and exchanging a few words, they sat down.
