Itachi knew that doing so would undoubtedly betray his father's trust in him. But he saw another path more suitable for the Uchiha clan. He believed that his father would eventually understand his predicament.

Itachi Uchiha disappeared from Shisui's sight.

Carrot, who was drinking in his room, noticed that Itachi Uchiha had left.

Kakashi gritted his teeth and said to Karot, "Do you know how I've spent these past five days? Everyone I know is asking him for wedding invitations and wanting to be his best man."

"Oh, my dear brother is here! You look great lately. Men who are in love are different; you're radiant."

Karot's mention of this only made things worse; Kakashi's face instantly darkened. The man in front of him had dug a huge pit and buried himself in it, and then ran away without any intention of rescuing him.

Jiraiya, Tsunade, and even the Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi all inquired about Kakashi's marriage plans. What was Kakashi supposed to do? It was difficult for him to even flip the table. And then there was his father Sakumo Hatake's unsettling gaze. Although he didn't say anything, it still made Kakashi uncomfortable. Kakashi being pressured into marriage to this extent was unprecedented.

"Damn it."

Kakashi couldn't take it anymore; he wanted to beat up Karot to vent his anger.

"Father, you've come."

Karot's shout left Kakashi speechless, unable to vent his anger. In front of Sakumo Hatake, Kakashi always acted like a well-behaved child.

"Ah."

Sakumo Hatake immediately grasped the situation upon seeing it. Kakashi simply wasn't as shameless as Korot. He could never win an argument, couldn't beat them in a fight, and never bothered to call his parents.

"Father, has Kakashi reached that level?"

Carrot asked Sakumo Hatake in a low voice.

"It's progressing quite well."

Although Carrot's method was unscrupulous, it still achieved good results.

Now it was Carrot's turn to be surprised. This was an unexpected turn of events he hadn't anticipated at all.

Just as Karot wanted to know more details, Kakashi, standing to the side, spoke up.

Carrot and his son Sakumo Hatake laughed awkwardly.

Kakashi put his arm around Kakashi's shoulder and said.

"Great job, bro. Don't worry, I'll make sure your wedding is beautiful."

"Who wants to have a wedding!"

It turned out to be Jiraiya and Minato.

"Lord Jiraiya, how about we hold your wedding with Tsunade-senpai at the same time?"

Carrot's words are astonishing.

Jiraiya was so frightened that his face turned red.

He hadn't expected Carrot to be so outspoken. How could he just say something like that? I'd be happy to say it in private, but you're saying it publicly? That's like asking me to die.

"Teacher, I think you and Lady Tsunade are a perfect match."

As Jiraiya's disciple, Jiraiya knew that Tsunade and Minato liked each other, and he also wanted his teacher to settle down and stop wandering around the ninja world.

"I don't have that either!"

Jiraiya said somewhat embarrassedly. However, as soon as he finished speaking, Jiraiya felt a strong killing intent coming from behind him.

"Minato, is Tsunade here?"

Minato nodded; Tsunade had overheard his words.

The sound of "bang bang bang" drowned out Jiraiya's shouts.

Everyone present observed a moment of silence for Jiraiya. Of all people to like, why did he have to like a violent maniac?

"Brother, I suddenly think that not getting married isn't so bad."

Kakashi said upon seeing Jiraiya's miserable state.

This was immediately met with opposition from Sakumo Hatake and Carrot.

Sakumo Hatake thought to himself: If you don't get married, how will my Hatake family line continue?

Carrot simply wanted Kakashi to get married.

Chapter 102 Orochimaru's Victory

Inside the Hokage's office, all the Jonin of Konoha were gathered. However, something unusual seemed to have infiltrated the group. Upon closer inspection, it was none other than Jiraiya, swollen to the point of resembling a pig.

Seeing his beloved disciple in this state, Yuan Fei Hiruzen was also troubled. He had personally witnessed the entire incident with his glass marble. It was Jiraiya's inability to control his tongue that caused it. Serves him right.

"Be quiet."

At this moment, the elder advisor spoke up. The room fell silent instantly. All eyes turned to Yuan Fei Ri Zhan.

"I'm sure everyone is already clear about the purpose of this meeting."

After seeing everyone nod, Yuan Fei Ri Zhan continued.

"I'm retiring, so the Hokage position can't be left vacant. The candidates are Orochimaru and Minato Namikaze."

"Each Jonin present represents a vote. In the end, whoever gets the most votes, Orochimaru or Minato, will be the next Hokage."

"Then I won't waste any more time, let's begin the voting!"

After Yuan Fei finished speaking, Elder Advisor Mitomon Homura stood up and was put in charge of counting the votes.

Each Jonin held a slip of paper that had been distributed to them; white represented Orochimaru, and yellow represented Minato Namikaze. Each person tossed their choice into the ballot box.

"Orochimaru gets one vote."

"One vote for the water gate."

As Mitokado Homura read out each vote, someone would mark it on a wooden board. Then came the final vote. Since Orochimaru and Minato were currently tied, this last vote would determine the ultimate winner.

"Orochimaru-senpai, are you confident?"

"Carrot asked quietly."

Orochimaru, on the other hand, looked completely confident.

"This is just a formality."

Upon hearing Orochimaru's words, Karot already knew that Orochimaru had victory in the bag.

"One vote for the water gate."

"I am grass."

Carrot stared at Orochimaru in astonishment. "Is this what you meant by going through the motions?" This outcome was completely unexpected. Then Carrot noticed that Orochimaru maintained a smile on his lips.

Could something unexpected have happened?

Another idea suddenly popped into Carrot's mind.

"Congratulations, Minato!"

Jiraiya immediately embraced Minato. His disciple had become Hokage, fulfilling his dream, and he was genuinely happy for him. Inside the meeting room, opinions were polarized: one side was celebrating jubilantly, while the other hung their heads in dejection.

"Alright, I hereby announce that the next Hokage is..."
