"Was it that Earthling who influenced you?"

The three-headed dog's head emerged from the vortex, its saliva falling to the ground with a hissing sound.

“That’s Vitamori, the one you fought for! The Vitamori who said, ‘If you need me, I’ll be here!’”

"Roar—!" Galberos, who had changed since their last meeting, turned towards the light.

The man roared.

The former hero of the Ocean Star now looked like a fierce ghost, yet he restrained himself, waving his hand to signal Galberos to step forward, his fingertips drawing steely lines in the air.

After questioning him, he was not angry at Samuel's attitude. Rather than anger, he felt more regret: "It's alright, Lord Samuel. If you can bear with me a little, you will surely understand me."

"...After I killed this Earthling who bewitched you."

Galberos crashed into them with a thunderous roar.

It was much faster than before, even creating visible wind pressure, and the ground trembled violently with every step it took. It reached Samuel in the blink of an eye, the ground in its path as if it had been plowed, with pebbles rolling down from the surrounding hills.

The exploding light blade lashed out at its face, only to be slapped aside by the massive claw, creating a deep crater with a deafening roar.

Galberos seems to have learned its lesson and is now using a more subtle approach; otherwise, the Exploding Light Blade would have been smashed into its hand by his force.

Cerberus, the three-headed dog, is a legendary demon that guards the gates of hell. When it barks, it spews venom from its mouth, and the places where it lands become the source of plants in the genus Aconitum.

Galberos also has three heads, with the middle one spewing flames and the left head turning around to spew out highly poisonous and flammable pollen.

Samuel leaped into the air to dodge, and pollen mixed into the pillar of flame ignited rapidly, turning the pillar of fire into a fire tornado. Cerberus spun around, and the fire tornado swept across, turning everything in its path into scorched earth.

Muchini vanished from his spot and reappeared outside the battlefield. He looked up at the battle, as if standing leisurely in a light breeze and drizzle, with the scattered flames in the distance like petals fluttering in the wind.

The silver giant spread out its shield, supporting itself with one hand while the other hand was wrapped with a whip of light.

The serpentine whip of light wound around the flames and coiled towards its opponent. The right head of the three-headed dog bit down on it, its sharp teeth tearing at the surface of the whip, producing a dense, crackling sound.

Samuel couldn't gain any leverage in the air, while Galuberos stood on the ground. It turned its body and swung its right head violently, its light whip taut, and Samuel was thrown off with his shield.

At the same time, the left side of the head stopped releasing pollen and instead fired a series of fireballs straight at Samuel's landing point.

"They've learned to be smarter," Samuel thought to himself. The Night Raid team's combat report underestimated the learning ability of the alien beasts, at least that was the case with the Galberos in front of him.

Samuel once again unleashed a burst of light blades that collided and annihilated the fireballs. He then flipped over to dissipate the immense momentum. The next light bullet struck him, but it passed right through a phantom.

“The landing point was too close.” Muchini shook his head, and before he finished speaking, Samuel’s figure had already appeared to Galuberos’ left.

The head had just been hit by a fireball and hadn't recovered yet when Samuel seized the opportunity and punched it in the nose, the sickening sound of bones breaking mixed with a wail.

Galberos turned its head, flames brewing in its mouth, while its claws slashed at any opponent who dared to get close.

"Crack—Boom!"

A blinding spark exploded on Samuel's chest. At the same time, the crystal ray from his forehead struck the still-unreleased flame. The explosion directly broke off Galberos's fangs, which had just grown back, and his tongue was probably charred as well.

He traded injuries for injuries, crippling two of the opponent's heads, and ended up profiting.

Samuel's attack methods have always been simple. He can withstand the attacks himself, so why not take this opportunity to replace the opponent's more important methods?

While Galberos was being thrown back by the explosion of the fireball in his mouth, Samuel spun around and delivered another kick, striking the left side of his head where his nose had just been broken.

Muchini's expression turned serious: "This Earthling..."

Having suffered repeated heavy blows, Galberos naturally wouldn't passively take the hits. It turned its body in the process, and its long tail whip came whistling through the air!

"Bang, crack!" The attack was only briefly blocked. The instantaneous light shield shattered upon contact, and the tail whip struck the right arm solidly. Although the attack was blocked in time to avoid being hit, the right arm, which had already begun to go numb, was obviously seriously injured.

Galuberos got a chance to catch his breath, and turned his right head toward Samuel, who had just gotten up.

Three fireballs struck in quick succession, their scorching heat distorting the scenery behind them.

"Boom boom boom——!"

It wasn't Samuel who blocked it, but a blade of light flying in from the other side.

Feather of particles.

“Your opponent has arrived,” Muchini said to Goro Mujin.

Goro Mujin didn't really want to talk to this mentally unstable "monk." He snorted, pulled out his transformation device, and took another step, transforming into the form of Dark Mephisto.

Nexus burst into the dark realm, and wherever he went, golden light particles began to resist the surrounding darkness.

Why are you here?!

Samuel glanced at Nexus's left arm and knew that Jun Himeya's injury was far from enough to fight. This transformation also activated the Meta Domain—once the battle was over, they would be back to square one!

Even his own human form couldn't stop him! He's a half-baked trainee from the Land of Light who didn't finish his training!

Samuel rushed forward to try and stop Mephistopheles, but Galuberos had already engaged him first, with a pillar of fire blocking their path.

"Get out of here!" Samuel raised his numb right arm, forcibly gathering energy to create a small light shield against the flames.

Zhu rushed forward, figuring he'd have to heal anyway, so what's one more time?

The left arm is in good condition and suitable for wielding the blade.

Halfway there, the light shield shattered, but the giant, whose body was engulfed in silver flames, showed no signs of slowing down!

"I need to go save people, I don't have time to waste on you!"

Chapter Forty-Four: Jealousy

"Crack——!"

The being of light charged into the flames, his lightsaber piercing through the gaps in Galberos's claws that blocked its path, and embedding itself in its chest.

The lightsaber failed to penetrate the hardened bone armor. With a soft shout, Samuel, bracing against the sharp giant claws, firmly drove the lightsaber into its interior.

With most of the blade still outside, Samuel slammed his fist into the hilt, driving the lightsaber inch by inch into the enemy's body like a nail.

Galberos staggered backward, and as he recovered, the left side of his head spewed out highly poisonous pollen.

Samuel flipped over and kicked the sword hilt again, this time tearing a hole in its chest armor. As he retreated further away, taking advantage of the pollen's dispersion, a bursting light blade pierced through and detonated the pollen mass. The instantly expanding light enveloped Galberos's massive body.

On the other side, after a brief test with Dark Ray Feather, Dark Mephisto and Nexus clashed.

Mizoroki Shinya's injuries had almost healed, but Himeya Jun was clearly not in the same good condition. Knowing his weakness, the former kept targeting his left side.

Nexus had no choice but to raise his left arm to block the attack. Mephisto sneered and increased the force. Sure enough, Nexus's left arm twitched slightly, forcing him to shift his weight and extend his right arm forward.

Samuel certainly wouldn't stand idly by and watch him bully the wounded. After stunning Galberos, he leaped up and launched a flying kick, wreathed in silver flames and accompanied by a whistling wind, towards Mephisto!

"This Earthling... is actually performing better than me?" Samuel and Jun Sakuma shouldn't have been working together for very long. If we consider the same amount of time, Muchini should still be struggling with the enemy's strange attacks due to his lack of experience.

And this Jun Sakuma showed no fear whatsoever, allowing Samuel to unleash considerable power!

"This is truly... Galberos!"

Muchini snapped his fingers, and a deep purple vortex appeared above Galuberos's head. Lightning struck, scattering the blue smoke swirling around it.

"Roar--"

The skull, which was clearly fractured on the left, began to repair itself. The middle skull spewed out charred tissue, and when it opened its mouth again, it was already a newly formed interior.

With the crack in his chest armor smoothed out and the wound repaired, Galberos rallied, opened his mouth to clear a path with a fireball, and sprinted toward Samuel, who had just been kicked to the ground and was still recovering.

Mephisto released Nexus and dodged the flying kick with a sidestep. Samuel crashed into the ground with a "thud," almost hitting Nexus, who was panting and pressing his arm. Fortunately, he reacted in time and pulled back his strength, so the damage did not affect his teammates.

The fireball hurtled towards him, and Samuel instinctively tried to dodge, but then remembered that Nexus was still behind him, his view blocked. Dodging now would surely mean being hit. So he raised his left hand and conjured a light whip. A flash of white light, and the fireball exploded in mid-air.

Before Galberos could even process how he had suddenly regained his strength, Mephisto's counterattack was already upon him!

Nexus caught his breath and used Particle Feather to meet the eerie green light bullet. Mephisto charged forward again and punched him in the left shoulder.

If Samuel's right arm hadn't been injured, he could have helped Nexus at this point, but he was entangled by the recovered Galberos, his lightsaber stuck in its giant claws, and he clashed kicks with the three-headed dog. However, the opponent's force was greater than he had expected, and he was kicked and staggered.

Losing balance during a struggle is very dangerous. The lightsaber was thrown aside by Garuberos in the next moment, leaving the center wide open. Flame bullets were fired from both sides of the head, and the silver giant was engulfed by the continuous explosions.

Nexus was forced to defend himself by Mephisto's attacks. His left arm was blocked by the sudden force of Mephisto's kick, which sent him flying dozens of meters away. When he got up, the timer on his chest had dimmed considerably.

Mephisto raised his hand, and a vortex gathered and spun above his head, forming a dark ray of light. The massive dark sphere locked onto Nexus, and a barrage of tiny light projectiles rained down on him. Nexus rolled on the spot to dodge the first wave of light projectiles, and raised his hand to try to block the second wave of attacks with a light shield, but was forced back by the continuous impact.

"Phase fold lock, proceed with the assault!"

The Night Raid Team arrived late because the Dark Domain had opened up and they couldn't pinpoint the exact location of the battle. However, the CIC managed to locate the folds, so the operations team didn't come up empty-handed.

The assault-type Chester bypassed the dark orbs gathered by Mephisto and opened up the situation directly with a barrage of spider missiles.

The other Titan's stance is uncertain, but assisting Nexus has now become almost a consensus among the Night Raid team.

Nexus, panting heavily, withdrew his defenses and followed up with a Particle Feather.

Mephisto was caught off guard and suffered a loss. His dark eyes looked at the person sitting in the assault-type Chester who pressed the Spider Missile Launch button.

“Mizoroki,” Saijo Nagi made no attempt to hide her hatred in her gaze, “Monster… Die!”

Saijo Nagi heard Mizoroki Shinya's cold snort, and when she focused her attention on the radar screen again, Mephisto's signal had already switched from the ground to the air.

Thurs gave chase, and the assault-type Chester immediately turned and locked onto the dark giant flying nearly a thousand meters above them.

The golden and deep purple lights chasing each other overhead resembled two incredibly fast birds, their brilliant wings intertwining as they streaked across the sky.

The occasional muffled thuds and explosions indicated the intensity of the battle.

A series of fires illuminated the dark red sky.

In the firelight, the man in black robes reached out to the three-headed dog that was biting the giant. Deep purple lightning struck down, and Galberos regained his radiant appearance.
