She stared at Luffy in horror, her blood-red eyes filled with disbelief.
"Straw Hat, what did you do to me?!"
It's under control.
The whole process was incredibly smooth.
Nika struggled but to no avail. He was clearly not ready to awaken his bayonet fighting skills yet, so why was this happening?
"Want to go back?" Luffy stared at Nika with a smile.
That smile sent a chill down Nika's spine.
I'm truly impressed!
No wonder she agreed so readily; it turns out she was waiting for her here.
Nika felt cheated. She initially chose Luffy because she was attracted to his carefree personality, which could be called innocent or, to put it bluntly, a stubborn guy.
With the collar around her neck, she's like a domesticated catgirl, only able to meow and expose her belly for people to pet.
When I'm hungry, I meow; if I don't meow, I won't get any food.
A seemingly carefree straw hat-wearing figure walked over, grabbed the white collar like a kitten, and lifted the weakened Nika in front of Chopper, introducing her as follows:
"See? I told you we have a lot of fun things to do on our ship."
Nika grinned.
Luffy slapped her, and her eyes instantly cleared.
"This is also one of our partners on the ship, although he is still a bit disobedient."
"Is this a tanuki?!" Chopper curiously leaned closer and sniffed Nika with his nose.
Nika, who was already feeling humiliated, couldn't help but raise her head and stare at Chopper for a moment upon hearing this, habitually making a sarcastic remark:
"Who are you calling a raccoon? Aren't you a raccoon too? You strange blue-nosed raccoon."
"I'm a reindeer, you bastard! Look closely, I have antlers!"
Chopper angrily transformed back into his beast form, pointing to his tiny antlers in rebuttal.
Nami stepped forward and tugged at Luffy's sleeve, suspicious of Nika's sudden appearance. How could he always produce all sorts of strange and unusual things? She couldn't help but ask:
"Hey Luffy, where did you get this Nika from?"
She was actually a little embarrassed to say it.
Nika, dressed entirely in white, emerged from Luffy's body, reminding her of some memories she was somewhat embarrassed to recall.
Her gaze swept back and forth between Luffy and Nika, filled with suspicion.
While a talking tanuki wasn't particularly unusual to her—after all, there was Chopper right next to her—Luffy's explanation that he'd picked it up seemed rather perfunctory.
Upon hearing this, Nika immediately gave Luffy a nervous wink.
Her life and freedom are now in Luffy's hands, and the origin of her Devil Fruit will is a huge secret that must never be revealed.
Luffy received Nika's signal. Although he didn't think there was anything wrong with saying it, he went along with Nami's guess.
"Yes, I found it."
Nami sighed and facepalmed, "At least come up with a plausible excuse!"
This world is indeed full of wonders, but it's too much of a coincidence that a talking tanuki can be casually pulled out of one's body and then controlled by Luffy with a strange collar.
Nami's gaze sharpened as she scanned Luffy and Nika: "Are you two hiding something from me?"
Nika panicked, fearing that Luffy might let something slip and that Nami might investigate further.
In a moment of panic, she blurted out, "I also know your secret!"
She regretted it as soon as the words left her mouth.
Almost instantly, in Nika's eyes, Nami's image seemed to swell into a demon god with black mist emanating from her back and devil horns growing from her forehead.
With a smile so kind it was chilling, Nami stepped forward and practically snatched Nika from Luffy's hand.
"Oh, my secret? Looks like we need to have a good talk, little Nika~"
After saying that, before Nika could struggle, Nami grabbed the newly appeared troublemaker and headed towards a corner.
We are preparing for an in-depth discussion about the rules on board and what should and shouldn't be said.
Chapter 103 Chopper Boards the Ship (Please Read On)
"How about it? Chopper, you can be our ship's doctor!"
Luffy glanced at Nika being taken away without giving it much thought, and continued to extend invitations to Chopper.
The series of impacts, especially Luffy's unreserved sincerity and acceptance, completely shattered Chopper's defenses.
This feeling of being needed and recognized was exactly the same as what Dr. Hiluluk had given him back then.
"Do you...do you really need me? Even if I'm a monster?" Chopper asked, choking back tears, making a final confirmation.
“Of course, you’re the best doctor.” Luffy replied without hesitation.
If his medical skill level has just reached level 2, then Chopper should be at least level 5.
While chatting with Kureha, she pointed to the pile of medical books in the room and said that Chopper had devoured them all.
"Waaaaah! Even if you say that, I won't be happy, you bastard!" Chopper cried out the classic line awkwardly, but the overwhelming joy made him roll around on the ground.
Finally, he stopped and nodded vigorously.
Chopper joins!
When Nami returned carrying Nika, who looked utterly dejected and as if she had experienced something terrible, Chopper had already said goodbye to Dr. Kureha.
Kureha was reluctant to part with him, but she was mostly relieved. She stuffed Chopper's little backpack full of various medicinal herbs and medical books.
"Alright, go on, go on, don't get in my way." Kureha waved her hand, turned around and took another swig of wine, concealing the emotions in her eyes.
Chopper took one last tearful look at Kureha, then transformed into his strong reindeer form, pulled over a spare sled from the castle, and volunteered, "Luffy, Nami, get on! I'll pull you down the mountain! It'll be much faster!"
"You can do that?" Luffy looked at Chopper in his reindeer form, who then wrapped Nami and Nika around with one hand.
Chopper took a deep breath, pushed off with all fours, and galloped down the steep snow-covered mountain slope.
The speed increased, and a strong feeling of weightlessness came over us. At the end of a steep slope, the sled even briefly took off!
"Wow!"
Nami screamed in fright, feeling like she was about to be thrown out.
Luffy reacted quickly, grabbing Nami's waist with his rubber arm and pulling her tightly into his arms.
Nami, still shaken and forgetting her shyness, instinctively clung to Luffy like an octopus, burying her face in his chest.
Nika clung tightly to Luffy's straw hat, as if afraid it would fall off.
Wuhu, take off!
It was still dark, only the early morning.
The wind and snow had long since stopped, and a ray of morning light shone on the snow-covered winter island, bathing everything in a warm orange-red hue, its soft glow shimmering.
Some early-rising villagers noticed this strange scene and looked towards the direction of the setting sun.
The morning light was a bit too bright, and they had to shield their eyes with their hands. It took a long time for their eyes to adjust.
"Hey, look, what's that?"
"What's flying in the sky!"
As the clouds gradually turned red, several dark silhouettes could be vaguely seen, soaring down from the high Cigu Mountain, drawing a vibrant arc.
Am I seeing things?
"It sounds like someone is shouting from up there."
Are they going somewhere to deliver a gift?
The villagers looked at each other, their faces blank, as if trying to confirm this incredible sight.
At the port of Yamashita, Sanji and Usopp, who were in charge of replenishing supplies, had prepared all the items needed for the Going Merry.
Vivi and the others waited anxiously on the boat.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Chobar's sled dart down the hillside in a thrilling manner and come to a steady stop on the shore.
Vivi was the first to rush off the boat, and when she saw Nami getting off the sled full of energy, she pounced on her.
Nami's legs are actually a little weak.
"Nami, I'm so glad you're alright!"
"I'm sorry to have worried you."
Nami hugged Vivi back, feeling a warm glow in her heart from the concern of her companion.
Her gaze fell on Robin, who was smiling elegantly beside her. She looked away somewhat awkwardly, her tone stiff but no longer hostile: "Robin, thank you for before too."
Previously, she would have directly called Robin Miss a prisoner.
Robin smiled slightly.
"Hey guys, look this way!"
Luffy had already gotten off the sled, and with one reach, he pulled Chopper, who was hiding behind the sled and secretly watching his new crewmates, in front of him.
"This is our new partner, the ship's doctor Tony Tony Chopper!"
"Hello, everyone." Chopper's heart was pounding with nervousness.
"A tanuki as a partner? Having a fast runner as backup food is enough."
"Luffy, keeping pets on a ship is a hassle, and you brought two with you?"
"Hey, Chopper is a doctor, and he ate a Devil Fruit."
