The siren tried to dodge in terror, but Luffy was too fast, and it could only watch helplessly as the tiny fist smashed into its head.
Everyone saw the effect of that punch; a dent appeared on the siren's huge head, and then its entire body began to convulse violently.
The shockwave spread through the siren's body, and the surrounding seawater churned as if boiling.
The siren's eyes rolled back, her enormous body slowly went limp, and her eight tentacles hung limply.
It fainted.
"Yay! Takoyaki!" Luffy cheered.
But just as he was about to drag the siren back to the ship, something unexpected happened.
The unconscious siren suddenly convulsed, then spewed out a huge amount of black ink from its ink sac.
The ink spread rapidly in the seawater, turning an area of hundreds of meters around it completely black in the blink of an eye.
"Hey, can't see clearly?"
"How can a siren spit ink?!"
"Because it's an octopus!"
Chopper shouted from the boat, "Octopuses spray ink to cover their escape when they are in danger!"
In the thick ink, everyone completely lost their sight.
Worse still, although the siren was unconscious, its body was caught by a sudden underwater current and began to drift deeper into the ocean.
Luffy, who was holding onto the siren's tentacles with one hand, was also pulled in.
"Luffy!" Nami shouted from the ship.
Others exclaimed in surprise.
Zoro and Sanji were also swept away by the ocean current and carried to the deep sea.
.......
Where are Luffy and the others?
On the deck of the Sunny, everyone anxiously watched the ink-stained area receding into the distance.
I wasn't too worried about Luffy's safety, after all, that guy was capable of doing something like that in Impel Down.
But after all, this is 10,000 meters deep in the ocean, and there are too many unknown dangers.
Nami quickly directed everyone to follow the underwater current, and the Sunny entered deeper waters.
The beam of the searchlight swept across, revealing only an endless expanse of darkness and the occasional glowing creature swimming by.
"It's so quiet around here." Usopp crossed his arms, feeling like some monster might jump out of the darkness at any moment.
Just then, a faint singing voice came from the deep sea.
What was that sound?
Chopper's ears perked up.
"Is that singing?"
Vivi frowned and pointed to the right front of the Sunny. "It's coming from over there."
The searchlight beam turned in that direction, and then everyone froze.
In the dark water ahead, the outline of a ship slowly emerged.
It was an old three-masted sailing ship, its hull dilapidated, its sails tattered, and its surface covered with coral and seaweed.
A huge figure stood beside the ship.
It was a humanoid creature with a black beard, dense hair on its chest and abdomen, a bare upper body, and fins on its back.
It has webbed hands, short legs, a huge mouth, and sparse teeth.
"That's a ghost ship?!" Usopp screamed.
This scene reminded everyone of their first encounter with Brook, the ghost ship that appeared in the thick fog, and the talking skeleton on board.
When Brook saw the ship, he shouted even louder than Usopp:
"Hohoho, a ghost ship!"
He was so frightened that he jumped up, and the skull head almost hit the mast.
"What are you yelling about!"
Usopp grabbed Brook by the collar and started complaining, "You yourself came from a ghost ship, what are you afraid of!"
"no the same!"
Brooke said, "That ship is much more historic than mine. It's the Flying Dutchman! A ship that shouldn't exist in this world!"
The Flying Dutchman?
The name made Robin's eyes light up, and she quickly opened her notebook:
"The legendary ghost ship, which is said to have drifted at sea for centuries and could never reach the shore."
"Centuries?!"
Brooke chuckled a few times. "Indeed, that was hundreds of years ago."
He began to tell an ancient legend that had been passed down at sea.
Hundreds of years ago, there was a captain named Vander Decken who was madly obsessed with the treasures in the deep sea and would stop at nothing to obtain them.
During one voyage, his ship encountered an unusual storm, and the sailors demanded to return to port, but Van der Deiken refused.
The mad captain threw his men who dared to question him into the raging sea, one by one, until all the sailors on the ship had been slaughtered.
Van der Deiken's atrocities were so egregious that even the gods despised him.
The sea god cast a curse, condemning Van der Decken and his ships to an eternal voyage, never to reach shore or find peace.
His ship was the Flying Dutchman, a cursed ghost ship that brought only death and disaster.
"It is said that anyone who sees the Flying Dutchman will be caught in a vortex of misfortune."
Brooke said in a sinister tone.
One sentence prompted Perona, who was standing next to her, to retort:
"How long have you lived?"
How do you even know legends from hundreds of years ago?
Brook counted on his skeletal fingers: "I died fifty-two years ago, but I lived as a skeleton for several decades. Adding the time I spent in life, ho ho ho, I can't remember anymore!"
"Is now the time to calculate this?"
Usopp was going crazy.
And then the giant sea giant began to move.
Chopper and Usopp were so frightened that they ran around the ship in a panic.
After all, none of the Straw Hats' three main fighters are currently on board.
Nika had woken up sometime earlier. She sat on the ship's railing, clutching a bottle of wine, looking at the ghost ship and the sea giant in the distance. She pursed her lips, and then, as if remembering something, gulped down a large mouthful of wine.
"It's just a legend, how could ghosts exist?" Nami waved her hand, trying to convince everyone, and herself as well.
"After all, even fictional monsters like siren exist, so these legends might actually be true."
Robin smiled, her smile as gentle as ever, but now, illuminated by the dim blue light, it appeared somewhat eerie.
"Speaking of ghosts, I have one right here."
Perona floated up, and several translucent ghosts appeared around her.
“Even time from eight hundred years ago has come here, so it’s not surprising that there are ghosts, is it?” Vivi said.
She remained relatively calm, having witnessed many strange things at the World Economic Forum headquarters over the past two years.
After a brief silence, Nami grabbed Robin's arm and wouldn't let go.
That's...that's terrifying!
The deep sea, darkness, giant sirens, and now a ghost ship!
This is exactly what horror movies are all about!
And then something even worse happened.
Lights suddenly came on in the cabin of the ghost ship, the Flying Dutchman.
Dim candlelight shone through the dilapidated portholes, and shadowy figures could be seen moving inside the cabin.
“They’re watching us!” Usopp shouted.
"Prepare for battle!"
Franky shouted, "Super~ Let the ghosts see the power of science!"
But just as Franky was about to fire, another change occurred.
Suddenly, another giant creature burst forth from the deep sea beside them.
It was a giant lanternfish with a glowing lantern-like organ hanging from its head, illuminating its ferocious, gaping maw.
"Anglerfish, bald sea monster, they'll eat the ship and leave no treasure. I don't have time now, let's sink them!"
An arrogant voice came from the ghost ship.
Only then did everyone notice that a figure had appeared on the deck of the ghost ship at some point.
It was a fish-man with the features of a broad-striped tiger shark, wearing a small top hat, with spiky hair and a beard, wearing many necklaces, and having four legs.
As the captain of the Flying Pirates and a descendant of the first Vander Decken, Vander Decken IX emerged from the deep sea because he had joined forces with the New Fishman Pirates!
He's on his way to marry his beloved Princess Shirahoshi, and doesn't have time to dawdle around with the pirate ship.
If we go too late, who knows if those Four Emperors pirate crews from the New World will divide Fishman Island up?
Upon hearing the order, the bald sea monster became very excited and swung its huge fist, ready to smash into the Sunny.
That fist was bigger than the hull of the Sunny; if it hit, the coating bubble would likely rupture.
