Luffy grinned.
Outside Impel Down, ten massive warships were always on guard around the perimeter.
The forces that would escort Fire Fist Ace ahead of time have already been deployed.
Five massive naval warships, each commanded by five vice admirals of the Navy Headquarters and led by elite naval soldiers, constituted a force sufficient to launch a Buster Call.
Moreover, Admiral Aokiji Kuran, one of the Navy Headquarters Admirals, had already arrived at the scene.
But to their surprise, instead of seeing Fire Fist Ace being escorted out, they saw Magellan, the warden of Impel Down, being blasted out.
Not long after receiving Magellan's report confirming that the intruder was Straw Hat Luffy, Sengoku sensed something was wrong and immediately sent Aokiji from Marineford to come over.
Before he could even set foot, Aokiji heard the highest level of alarm sounding.
"Mr. Sengoku was right after all; the situation has now reached its worst point."
Aokiji stood at the bow of the warship, his face unusually solemn.
Magellan's strength was acknowledged even by his fellow admiral.
Impel Down, a confined space, is where he can best utilize his abilities.
Even Magellan was defeated?
Watching Magellan trace an arc in the sky, Aokiji muttered to himself, "It seems we really need to change the location of our final battle with the Whitebeard Pirates."
With Magellan, their strongest fighter, gone, the remaining guards of Impel Down are no match for Straw Hat Luffy and Portgas D. Ace, who is about to escape.
If the Straw Hat Pirates release all the prisoners from Impel Down, the war will become even more dangerous for the Navy.
.....
In an infinite hell.
As Luffy let out a joyful laugh, a sigh of admiration came from a cell not far away.
"That's really amazing."
Luffy turned around and saw the cell, inside which sat a man wearing an Impel Down uniform.
He was wearing a large military cap, a cigar dangling from his mouth, and watching Luffy and Ace with great interest. "So, what are you going to do next?"
"Straw hat boy, watch out."
Ivankov stepped forward and whispered a reminder: "That's Shiryu of the Rain, the former warden of Impel Down. A very troublesome fellow, he's said to be temporarily imprisoned for his bloodlust, on par with Magellan."
Is this why Impel Down is called the Iron Wall?
You could tell he was a very troublesome guy.
He is a great swordsman.
A Shiryu of the Rain, a Magellan, and the jailers of Impel Down could stop 99 percent of the invaders from this sea.
Unfortunately, now only one Magellan remains.
If these two join forces, things might get a little troublesome.
"Of course, we'll escape," Luffy said.
"But how do we escape?" Shiryu of the Rain chuckled softly. "The Navy has already surrounded this place. The monsters are coming. There's an endless sea all around, which is like a demon to a Devil Fruit user. You're quite strong, how about we cooperate?"
“This guy is right,”
Ivankov approached, his massive frame casting a shadow. He said in a serious tone, "There are troublesome guys everywhere here. Have you decided what to do? Are you just going to rescue Ace Boy, or...?"
His gaze swept over the prisoners whose eyes gleamed with desire and madness. "Release all the prisoners, muddy the waters completely, and we'll escape in the chaos?"
If all the prisoners were released, the chances of an escape would indeed increase significantly, as the chaos would provide them with the best cover.
However, the downsides of doing so are also obvious.
These pirates imprisoned in the Infinite Hell were all notorious and extremely vicious.
Once released back into the sea, it will inevitably unleash endless bloodshed and bring suffering to countless civilians.
"No need."
Luffy waved his hand almost without hesitation and said firmly, "We are enough."
Releasing prisoners could cause riots.
But there's no guarantee they won't suddenly turn on you and stab you in the back.
Luffy doesn't want to release guys he knows nothing about.
"By the way, Luffy,"
Ace walked over and said, "There are others who can help us."
He pointed to the blue-skinned fishman in the next cell, "This is Jinbe, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. He was imprisoned here for opposing this war and upholding justice."
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Luffy."
Jinbe nodded to Luffy through the fence, his eyes filled with respect.
Based solely on his observation of Luffy and the demeanor and strength he displayed, he was already completely convinced of the young Straw Hat boy's abilities.
"Yo, nice to meet you, Jinbe!" Luffy grinned and responded in a friendly manner.
Then help Jinbe remove the chains from his body.
In his eyes, some prisoners were truly deserving villains, but others, like Jinbe who upheld righteousness, were not prisoners at all.
In particular, there was an old acquaintance he found quite agreeable.
Luffy walked up to Shiki's cell and grinned:
"Uncle Golden Lion, what's your decision? Can you give me an answer now?"
They are now waiting for Ivankov's revolutionary comrades to arrive so they can join them, and then they will prepare for the final prison break.
Ace and Jinbe took the opportunity to rest and recover their strength. Lightning, who knew Impel Down well, took out a lot of food from Impel Down's storage room.
Ace and Jinbe also had huge appetites, and they ate so fast that even Lightning was sweating bullets.
Golden Lion was an acquaintance, and a formidable one at that; the two had fought before.
Luffy actually thinks it's pretty good.
"alliance!"
The golden lion scratched his long, lion-mane-like golden hair and said loudly, "I'll be your ally! I can't stand this godforsaken place any longer! Let me join this war!"
He was itching to join the battle. It would be such a great loss if Whitebeard and the Navy were to go to war without Shiki!
"Alright, uncle, I still trust your abilities."
Luffy nodded. "But you have to agree to one condition after we get out."
Golden Lion, excited about his impending freedom, waved his hand and said generously, "Straw Hat! Don't just ask for one, I'll grant you all three of your requests!"
Luffy grinned with a triumphant smile, then with a snap, he severed the sea stone bars of Shiki's cell with his demonic black sword, and said, "It's a deal, three it is!"
The smile on Golden Lion's face froze instantly, and his lips twitched: "No, no, you're really not being polite!"
He felt like he had fallen into a pit.
The feeling of regaining his freedom made Golden Lion temporarily ignore this minor problem. He floated out of the cell and stretched his limbs.
He took out a cigar from the supplies. "Hey, Whitebeard's son, can I borrow a light?"
"You better behave yourself."
Ace shot Shiki.
The cigar caught fire.
The Golden Lion exhaled a comfortable smoke ring and let out a hearty laugh, "Hahaha, what a convenient ability!"
Seeing the Golden Lion released, the prisoners in the other cells became even more excited and began to shout loudly:
"Straw Hat Kid! Let us go too! We can help you!"
"Golden Lion! Let us out!"
"Don't tell me that I'm not the one making the decisions here anymore."
The golden lion enjoys its freedom.
Although, in a sense, he was sent to Impel Down by Luffy.
But that's how pirates are: the winner takes all, and the loser is condemned.
One yard owned by a yard.
Golden Lion still admires Luffy.
Especially that hat; it reminded him of an old friend.
It's been a long time since the great battle at God Valley that something has made Shiki's blood boil.
He will definitely turn this war upside down!
"Hey! Sashibuli, straw hat."
A hoarse and chilling voice came from a dark dungeon.
Luffy turned around and saw a man slowly emerge from the shadows and stand inside the fence.
The man had a scar across his cheek on the bridge of his nose, and in his left hand was a gleaming golden hook.
"It's you, Crocodile."
Luffy's expression instantly turned cold.
The level of favorability between enemies also varies.
The Golden Lion score is 60 points, which is a passing grade.
I'd give Crocodile a six out of ten.
Crocodile looked at Luffy, a cold smile playing on his lips: "I thought I'd lost interest in escaping, but now it seems the Navy and Whitebeard are at war, which is quite interesting. I've always wanted to take that old man's head."
He paused, then looked at Luffy. "Judging from the current situation, war will most likely break out here ahead of schedule. So, are you interested in cooperating? Having more strength won't hurt you."
Without even thinking, Luffy flatly refused: "No interest. Your strength is too weak."
