This is a deserted, primitive island, where only she and this straw-hatted boy are currently present.

A man and a woman alone together—who knows what terrible things might happen!

Perona grew up on the Thriller Bark and has never left.

It is precisely because of this that I have a lot of free time that I like to read all sorts of random stories and novels.

Doesn't this scenario fit perfectly now?

Perona: "What do you want to do?!"

"I just thought about it," Luffy said.

So what do you want to do?

Perona inwardly groaned, wondering why she was so unlucky.

Even though they had already escaped Thriller Bark, why did they still run into Luffy on this strange island that seemed to be at the ends of the earth?

Her ghosts were useless against this rubber monster, and she had never forgotten the painful experience of those three punches that shattered her ghosts.

Seeing Luffy standing there unharmed, and his shadow also unscathed, a premonition that made her heart sink even more arose.

Lord Moria is probably really in grave danger.

Otherwise, how could Luffy, who is the main force of the enemy, appear here so leisurely?

What exactly happened outside?

After being swatted away by that wretched bear, she fell into this godforsaken place overrun by giant plants and wild beasts. Forget about newsbirds, it was hard to even see a living creature of normal size, and she was completely cut off from the outside world.

Why are you so afraid?

Is she the type who is timid?

But using ghosts to scare people in a place like Thriller Bark has nothing to do with being cowardly.

Luffy, completely disregarding his own reasons, stared at her with a bewildered expression.

"You, you don't come any closer!"

Perona waved her hands wildly in front of her, her voice trembling noticeably, trying to drive away this number one enemy in her mind.

There is no past.

Luffy even shifted his body back, sat back down by the campfire, grabbed a piece of sizzling roasted meat, and took a big bite.

His reaction left Perona speechless. The violence or coercion she had anticipated did not occur; it seemed that the other party was really just eating meat.

She collapsed to the ground, feeling as if she had just escaped a disaster.

Perona glanced at Luffy furtively and couldn't help but ask, "Why are you here?"

“Just like you,” Luffy said. “I was sent here by Kuma.”

Upon landing, I noticed another mark of the same size next to the bear mark shockwave. At first, I thought it was my partner, but it turned out to be Perona.

But many days have passed since the horrors of the three-masted ship, and Perona has been staying nearby the whole time?

Does she like it here?

Perona: "......"

You're the one who likes it!

Your whole family loves it!

Seeing that Luffy showed no sign of leaving, Perona shifted her foot slightly.

Does she intend to continue staying with this guy?

She stole a glance at the fragrant roasted meat in Luffy's hand, and then felt her stomach silently protesting.

I'm not hungry, not at all!

She struggled to stand up and escape from this place.

However, it felt as if my feet were nailed to the spot by invisible nails, and I couldn't take a step.

The reason was simple: the aroma of the roasted meat was like the most alluring spell, constantly stimulating her hungry nerves and making her weak all over.

"You should sit down first," Luffy said without looking up.

"Why?" Perona asked instinctively.

Luffy didn't say anything, but simply gestured behind her with the hand holding the piece of meat.

Perona seemed to sense something, and alarm bells rang in her mind.

She stiffly turned her head back little by little.

Not far behind her, on a giant tree trunk, a mottled python, thicker than the tree itself, was silently coiling down, its cold, vertical pupils fixed on her, its scarlet tongue flicking in and out, emitting a chilling hiss.

"Aaaaah!"

Perona was terrified. Her survival instinct instantly overwhelmed everything, and without thinking, she activated her ability, "Negative Ghost!"

Several white, semi-transparent ghosts flew out of her body, emitting eerie, wailing laughter, and pierced through the giant python's body.

The once menacing python seemed to have lost all its energy in an instant. Its massive body fell limply from the tree with a thud, collapsing to the ground. Its head buried itself in the fallen leaves, emitting a low, unintelligible hiss.

"I'm sorry for being born a snake."

"I can't even catch a rabbit, I'm a complete failure."

"Can't you just let me die?"

Luffy can understand what the giant python is saying, and since the python itself has said so, let's grant its wish.

He stood up, deftly removed the remaining half of the wild boar skeleton from the grill, and then walked over to the giant python, which was in a deep, negative state.

With a swift stroke, a hand blade coated in Armament Haki precisely ended its suffering.

They began to skillfully process the ingredients, placing them on the fire.

"Your ability is quite convenient," Luffy said.

Perona was so frightened that her legs went weak and she plopped back down on the ground.

I didn't hear what Luffy said at all.

The food chain in this forest is terrifying!

We need to get out of here as soon as possible.

But soon, her attention was drawn again to the rekindled campfire and the delicious snake meat roasting on the grill.

The sizzling sound of oil dripping onto the fire, mixed with the strange aroma emanating from the unknown spices Luffy had found earlier, created an irresistible temptation for her.

Who could resist such a temptation?

Especially for someone who has been eating sour wild fruits for several days and is starving.

Perona swallowed hard, her eyes fixed on the snake meat that was gradually turning golden.

While Luffy seemed focused on flipping the food, she stuck out her tongue, blinked, and cautiously reached out, trying to secretly break off a small piece.

Snapped!

Luffy lightly patted the back of her hand, and a small red patch immediately appeared.

Perona froze, staring at Luffy in disbelief.

How did he find out when his back was turned to him?

Unconvinced, she made a slightly larger movement and tried again.

Snapped!

It was slapped away precisely again, this time with even more force.

Luffy then turned around.

Seeing Perona's tearful, pitiful expression as she covered the back of her hand, he asked knowingly, "What do you want to do?"

Perona pouted, fighting back tears, and tried to reason with them: "I deserve some credit for subduing this giant python, right? What's wrong with me eating a little?"

Looking at the enormous snake's body, she felt that the reason was very valid.

"Hmph, don't bother joining in the fun, Ghost Girl."

A voice suddenly came from the side, startling Perona.

She then noticed that there was a white tanuki sitting next to Luffy, holding a piece of meat bigger than its own body, gnawing on it with grease dripping from its mouth, while giving her a disgusted look.

Am I really not even as good as a raccoon dog?

Perona was devastated.

"These wild beasts are a buffet he deliberately lured in with the smell of meat; whether you're there or not, the result is the same."

Nika tore off a large piece of meat and mumbled, "If you're going to make an excuse, at least make one better one."

Perona's big eyes darted around, and she realized that neither forcibly taking it nor reasoning with her seemed to work, so she decided to change her strategy.

She cleared her throat, forced what she thought was a sweet smile, and added a touch of coquettishness to her tone:

"Hey, Straw Hat Boy, look, we were all blasted to this deserted island by that bear guy. You could say it's fate."

As the saying goes, meeting is fate, so sharing a little food is only right, isn't it?

As she spoke, her hand, hidden behind her back, quietly conjured several tiny negative ghosts.

He planned to take advantage of Luffy's inattention and give him a taste of negativity, so he could then feast on him!

However, just as her ghost took shape, Luffy, as if he had eyes in the back of his head, didn't even turn around and delivered a precise Gum-Gum Pistol shot.

With a soft thud, the tiny ghosts were scattered into the air.

"Behave yourself."

Luffy withdrew his hand, and casually flicked Perona's forehead with his finger, making a crisp "thud".

"Waaaaah,"

Perona covered her forehead, which was slightly red from being flicked, and her last bit of hope was completely shattered. It didn't hurt much, but the feeling of being completely seen through made her feel extremely frustrated.

She truly has no temper left.
