Dozens of green-skinned, fanged, and menacing-looking LV1 goblins charged out in a chaotic frenzy, brandishing rusty daggers and wooden clubs, like a school of piranhas that had smelled blood!

Their target was those four immobile "wooden stakes" on the ground!

Walter, the only survivor, had retreated into the shadows near the cave's exit.

Witnessing this scene, which resembled a painting of hell, a chilling fear finally shattered his pride as a Level 10 Berserker!

Level 1 Goblin? Cutting melons and vegetables?

But this godforsaken place...

Even the paralysis mushrooms have turned into exploding monsters that can teleport!

Who knows what tricks these goblins will pull?!

The instinct for survival overcame the greed for the blue necklace!

He can't gamble! He dares not gamble!

"Sorry, brothers!"

Walter silently chanted to himself, gritted his teeth, and turned around without hesitation. Dragging his heavy giant axe, he sped away towards the blue light that symbolized safety at the cave entrance!

However, just as he was about to step out of the cave, he suddenly stopped.

Leaving... Mission failed... 100 gold coins and the blue necklace are gone forever!

Dying here... only means losing some worthless equipment, plus one level of experience...

The lure of enormous profits, like the devil's whisper, instantly dispelled the shadow of fear!

"Damn it! Fight!"

Walter's eyes flashed with a fierce light, and he turned around abruptly!

Faced with the surging goblin tide, he did not back down. Instead, he let out a wild battle roar and dragged his giant axe upstream!

"Whirlwind Slash!!"

His massive body spun wildly like a top! The runic giant axe, the size of a door panel, transformed into a deadly steel hurricane that tore through the air, fueled by the berserk battle aura of a LV10 berserker!

“Woo-hoo!”

"Pfft! Crack!!"

Blood and flesh flew everywhere! Severed limbs splattered!

A wild storm of axe blades swept through like a meat grinder!

The goblins at the forefront were easily cut in half and torn to shreds like straw!

The ear-piercing sound of bones cracking and goblins screaming filled the entire passage in an instant!

In just a few breaths, the ground was covered with mutilated goblin corpses, and the filthy green blood almost stained the ground red.

Walter stopped spinning, panting heavily, his giant axe planted firmly on the ground, his cold gaze sweeping across the bloody slaughterhouse.

"Phew...it seems that not all the monsters in this godforsaken place are so evil..."

A surge of relief at surviving the ordeal welled up within him, only to be quickly overwhelmed by immense regret.

If I had known these goblins were just cannon fodder... I should have saved Brinsol and the others! Now... it's all over!

He shook his head, forcibly suppressing his chaotic thoughts.

Your companions are probably already respawned in the resurrection stone area.

Using the luminous stone hanging around his neck, he cautiously made his way back to the place where his companions had been attacked.

The area was filled with a strong stench of blood and the strange, sweet scent of spore dust.

Deeper into the cave ahead, those damned mushrooms were nowhere to be seen.

"Hopefully we won't run into that monstrosity again..."

Walter cursed under his breath, his hatred for the paralyzing mushrooms reaching its peak.

He vowed that when he returned to Emerald Town, he would find the most expensive restaurant, order a table full of "delicacies" cooked with all kinds of mushrooms, and chew them to pieces!

He took a deep breath, tightened his grip on the giant axe, and with utmost caution, stepped once again into the dark and winding depths of the Black Whisper Cave...

……

Lilith Kevin felt this was the best and most restful sleep she had had since she started using the rebate system.

The "loss-making enterprise" that had plagued her for so long finally found the perfect "executor"—

That vampire kid Ron, with a falsified resume and no experience!

The gloom of insomnia that had plagued me for days was swept away.

She stretched lazily on the soft bed filled with the fur of abyssal nightmare beasts, revealing her curves.

Carefully placing the cool, slippery water elemental baby on the bedside table carved with flame patterns, she waved her little white fists a few times and jumped off the bed full of energy.

After carefully grooming herself and changing into her favorite gorgeous dress, which seemed to be woven from lava and adorned with hellfire diamonds, Lilith walked briskly toward her office on the first floor of the castle.

Pushing open the door, what came into view was the chief assistant Alyssa's haggard face, as if all her energy had been drained away.

She slumped listlessly in the obsidian chair, her eyes unfocused.

good sign!

Lilith was secretly delighted.

Alyssa's utterly devastated state can only mean one thing—

That crappy dungeon designed by Ron has probably already been easily cleared by adventurers!

The pass rate is absolutely frighteningly high!

"Elisa, how are you?"

Lilith suppressed her excitement and asked casually as she walked briskly toward the azure "Eye of the Abyss" crystal ball that floated above the desk.

Alyssa raised her head, forcing a smile that was more like a grimace onto her exquisite succubus face, her voice hoarse:

"Miss...you're...not bad..."

"not bad?"

This comment made Lilith pause slightly, a hint of surprise flashing through her mind.

Alyssa was vehemently opposed to Ron, and her assessment of him as "not bad"...

Does it mean that the losses haven't been significant enough?

With a puzzled look, her gaze fell upon the data flowing across the crystal ball—

Total number of adventurers entering the Black Whisper Caves: 194

Number of Death Adventurers: 165

[Experience Reward: 1011]

[Rank of E-level dungeon: 2649]

Adventurer completion rate: 0%

Lilith's relaxed smile froze instantly! It was as if a bucket of ice water from the deepest abyss had been poured over her head!

"impossible!"

She screamed, her ruby-like eyes widening as she stared intently at the glaring "0%" and the frantically pounding death toll:

"There must be something wrong!"

Chapter 13 Carolina

This dungeon is so awful, filled with level 1 trash monsters, that even a level 1 adventurer who has just learned to walk and has closed their eyes should be able to clear it after a little exploration!

How could there be a 0% pass rate?

165 people died?!

"Crystal ball!"

Lilith scrambled to grasp at this lifeline:

"Yes! The crystal ball must be broken! It's malfunctioning! Otherwise, the data wouldn't be so outrageous! How could so many adventurers be rushing to their deaths in a newly opened E-rank dungeon?!"

She tried to convince herself incoherently.

Alyssa, like a drowning person grabbing onto a piece of driftwood, instantly "woke up":

"That's right! Miss! The crystal ball must be malfunctioning! This data... is too strange! It doesn't make any sense at all!"

She quickly agreed, desperately trying to find a reasonable explanation for this mind-blowing scene.

Lilith could no longer stay in the office facing this "faulty" data.

She grabbed the cloak from the back of the chair, her voice trembling almost imperceptibly:

"Alyssa! Come with me to Ironflame Square! Now!"

The master and servant rushed out of the castle and leaped onto the Nightmare Warhorse that had been prepared beforehand, adorned with a saddle covered in hell lizard scales.

The warhorses neighed, their hooves pounding on the eerie blue flames, and charged like lightning towards the center of Ironflame City—

Iron Flame Square.

There stands a massive crystal ball, the "Eye of the World," carved from a single piece of lava crystal, as large as a small mountain!

It can display the accurate ranking of all dungeons in the underground world in real time!

When they arrived, Iron Flame Square was already bustling with people.

Abyssal inhabitants of all shapes and sizes gathered beneath the giant crystal ball, gazing up at the torrent of data flowing above, like a river of lava.

Lilith and Alyssa squeezed to the front, anxiously gazing up at the densely packed list of E-rank dungeons on the crystal ball, their eyes scanning rapidly from the bottom upwards.
