"I must admit, I have some doubts," Calga thought to himself. Conquering the world, killing aliens, saving civilians... these are our daily duties. Surely the Emperor has other instructions?

Lyon remained unfazed: "There are some things that the Emperor believes the time is not yet right."

Calga nodded knowingly: "I understand. I've handled quite a few classified missions myself."

He paused, then said, "With the Emperor personally overseeing the modifications, this is no ordinary task. I will do my utmost to help you if needed."

“Thank you for your understanding, Mr. Calgary,” Lyon said sincerely.

Calgar patted Leon on the chest. "Let's go, Chosen Warrior. We still have a tough battle ahead. The Xenomorphs won't wait for us."

Next, Calgar led Leon and his fellow warriors to the war room and activated the information receiver. The receiver displayed that they had arrived on the planet Kadakku.

Karga summoned the company commanders in the operations command center, where a projected image showed the complex terrain of the planet Kadakku.

In the blue-glowing 3D map, the Zerg are densely packed with red markers.

“This is the area with the highest concentration of the Zerg,” Calga pointed sharply to the center of the map. “We must break through this line of defense and reach the stronghold to support the besieged troops.”

After concisely outlining the battle plan, he turned his gaze to the golden-armored giant sitting in the corner: "Brother Leon, as a warrior chosen by the Emperor, what are your thoughts on our deployment?"

The surroundings fell silent, and all the Ultra Warriors' eyes were focused on Leon.

No one present found it strange; warriors personally transformed by the Emperor were naturally qualified to participate in tactical discussions.

Lyon stood up, his golden armor gleaming under the lights.

He stared at the tactical projection, paused for a moment, and then said, "The plan is feasible, but I request to lead the charge."

Lyon clenched his fist, the seams of his armor faintly gleaming with gold. "I want to personally shove those insects' heads into their cunts."

As the warship drew closer to the planet Kadakur, swarms of Zerglings covered the orbit outside the portholes. Their sheer numbers were suffocating, as if the entire planet were enveloped in a black, living shell.

“The aliens have taken over the entire outer space,” the communications officer said gravely.

"Break a path through," Calgar gave the brief order.

The macro cannon began charging, and blue-white arcs of electricity condensed at its muzzle. With a deafening roar, a thick beam of energy tore through space, evaporating swarms of Zerg into ashes.

The warships quickly rushed into the cleared track.

The scene on the planet's surface gradually became clear, with large numbers of Imperial auxiliary troops holding their ground in the trenches, fighting against the endless swarms of insects.

On a distant high ground, a Black Armored Astartes squad was surrounded by a swarm of insects and was struggling to hold on.

Several enormous Hive Warriors had stealthily approached them; they were elite Zerg warriors.

Lyon stared at the monitor screen and suddenly remembered a key plot point.

If I remember correctly, this should be the Emperor's Chosen, the Great Demon Khorne, Titus.

"Time is of the essence, I must go now." Lyon gave Calgar a military salute.

Before the other side could respond, he had already grabbed the Heavenly Punishment Power Halberd and hurled it forcefully to the ground. The weapon transformed into a streak of light, shooting straight at the swarm of insects.

Then, to everyone's astonishment, Leon did not choose to land in the airdrop pod, but walked directly to the door and jumped down.

The golden figure resembled a shooting star, falling to earth like the wrath of an emperor.

Chapter 92 Saving Private Titans

Two Hive Warriors charged at Titus, who could normally kill these Zerg elites with ease.

But this time was different. Titus felt weak all over, and the wound on his arm was still bleeding. He had exhausted too much energy fighting a large number of Zerg.

"Damn it!" Titus raised his chainsaw sword and barely managed to parry a scythe attack from a hive warrior. The violent impact caused him to stagger backward a few steps.

This was extremely rare in his combat career.

Titus usually manages to slay Hive Warriors with his superb combat skills, but today he finds himself in grave danger.

(Actually, it was a plot-driven death involving Space Marines in Warhammer 2)

Worse still, Titus's tactical awareness detected an unusual fluctuation in the air.

He whirled around, only to see a slight distortion in the air—it was the invisible Zerg! In the instant he realized what was happening, it was too late.

At the critical moment, a golden light descended from the sky, precisely piercing the head of the invisible insectoid creature.

Blood and flesh splattered everywhere, the Zerg's camouflage ability instantly failed, and it collapsed, writhing in agony.

"What is that?" Titus looked up at the sky.

High in the sky, a golden meteor was plummeting at an astonishing speed, the surrounding air currents distorted by the intense heat. The Zerg seemed to sense the threat as well, raising their heads and emitting piercing shrieks towards the sky.

"Cover!" Titus shouted to his comrades nearby, then rolled away to avoid the impact zone.

boom!

A golden meteor crashed into the center of the swarm, the shockwave spreading out in a ring, sending dozens of Zerg flying into the air.

Debris flew everywhere, and a giant crater with a diameter of over ten meters appeared in the center of the battlefield. The surrounding Zerg were thrown back by the shockwave, and some that were close by were even shattered into pieces.

As the dust settled, a towering figure knelt on one knee. Everyone held their breath—it was a colossal warrior covered in pure gold power armor, at least three meters tall, far exceeding the height of an ordinary Space Marine.

“The Imperial Guard? No, that’s not right…” Titus narrowed his eyes. Although the armor was gleaming gold, the details were clearly different from the Emperor’s Imperial Guard.

The golden-armored space warrior slowly stood up, then raised his right hand and gently beckoned. The halberd, deeply embedded in the ground, flew back into his hand in a golden arc.

Before the surrounding Zerg could react, the golden-armored Space Marines had already taken action.

His speed was astonishing; his halberd drew a golden arc in the air, slicing through the bodies of numerous Zerg.

Several Hive Warriors simultaneously pounced on the golden-armored Space Marine, their scythe-like arms gleaming coldly, capable of easily tearing apart standard power armor.

Instead of retreating, the golden-armored Space Marine advanced, flashing forward and crashing directly into the two Hive Warriors.

The next second, the bodies of the two Hive Warriors were smashed to pieces by the enormous impact, as if they had crashed into an Imperial cannon, and green fluids splattered everywhere.

The golden-armored Space Marine turned and strode toward Titus, extending a hand.

"Need any help, brother?" A deep, calm voice came from under the helmet.

Titus hesitated for a second, then grabbed the hand. The golden-armored space marine easily pulled him up, and only then did Titus notice the difference in size between himself and the marine.

“Who are you?” Titus asked.

“Leon, commander of the 4th Ultramarines,” the golden-armored Space Marine replied briefly, “is now the Emperor’s chosen warrior.”

“Are you ready, Titus?” Lyon asked.

Their eyes met, and without a word, they nodded in unison and turned to charge towards the remaining swarm of insects.

"For the Emperor, kill all these insects!"

Lyon moved with impunity, his power halberd sweeping across, slicing several Zerg in half, green fluid gushing out.

Lyon fought his way through the enemy lines, rescuing Space Marines who were besieged by the Zerg.

They then spontaneously formed a wedge formation and followed Leon into the swarm.

Lyon pulled out the Radiant Stream Cannon from his waist and aimed it at the densest part of the swarm.

The cannon's muzzle flashed with blinding light as an energy ray pierced through the swarm, reducing all life in its path to ashes. The energy ray struck the ground, triggering a chain reaction of explosions that spread outwards, engulfing vast swathes of the Zerg.

He also doesn't need to worry about blowing up his teammates, because most weapons in Terraria can disable friendly fire.

After the aftershocks of the explosion dissipated, only a huge crater with a diameter of nearly 20 meters remained in the center of the battlefield, with the rocks at the edges melted.

In the sky, several black dots plummeted rapidly—the Ultramarines' drop pods were passing through the atmosphere and falling towards the ground.

The airdrop capsule landed precisely, the latches popped open, and the door slammed onto the ground.

The fully armed Ultra Warriors charged out and quickly joined up with Leon's team.

"Medic! This way!" Leon pointed to Titus and the other wounded. Several medics dressed as Ultramarines immediately rushed towards the wounded.

“It’s not a fatal wound, it can be treated with a little care,” Chief Medical Officer Adrian told Titus, while taking a hemostatic spray from his medical kit.

Leon didn't linger, calling to a squad of Ultramarines who had just arrived: "Follow me! Forward, brothers! For the Emperor! For humanity!"

The Ultramarines responded in unison: "For the Emperor!" Their battle cry shook the heavens and the earth.

Lyon led the charge, like a golden sword piercing the belly of the swarm. Wielding his power halberd, he was unstoppable. A hive warrior stood in his way, brandishing a sharp scythe.

But Lyon pierced through him with a single sprint.
