"Don't be nervous, I'm not Garen." Ge Xiaolun saw through his thoughts.
"My name is Ge Xiaolun, and I come from another world. Demacia has now joined my god's ranks, and my god has lifted the ban on magic in Demacia."
Silas frowned, wondering if he had misheard.
"You have been appointed as the first president of the Demacian Mage Association," Ge Xiaolun continued. "The association's headquarters are ready and waiting for you to take charge."
The ban on magic has been lifted? The Mage Guild? The Guild Master? These words struck Silas as absurd.
Fifteen years of imprisonment, countless tortures, and daily despair made him almost forget what the outside world was like.
“This is impossible…” Silas murmured absentmindedly.
“Let’s go,” Ge Xiaolun patted his shoulder, “They’re waiting for you.”
Silas, in a daze, followed Ge Xiaolun out of the prison.
The sunlight shone on his face, stinging his eyes, but he didn't close them; only this sunlight could convince him that it wasn't a dream.
When he came to his senses, he was already sitting on the platform of a magnificent building.
Below the stage were hundreds of magicians, some of whom were prisoners recently released from jail, and others who had been hiding in the shadows.
"Silas! Silas!" the crowd chanted his name.
"We are free at last!"
"The ban on magic has finally been abolished!"
"Long live!"
Looking at the excited crowd below, Silas's eyes welled up with tears. He had dreamed of this day, but never imagined it would come true in this way.
He stood up, raised his hands, and magic danced at his fingertips. The magicians below the stage also released their spells, and various colors of light intertwined in the hall.
Silas took a deep breath, his gaze sweeping over every excited face in the audience. He knew that a new era had begun.
The strategy for conquering Noxus is much simpler.
Liu Chuang led Du Qiangwei and Rui Mengmeng straight to the Noxian capital, only to stumble upon an emergency meeting of the Trifal Council.
In the center of the council hall, three people sat before a huge stone table—in the middle was the Imperial Commander Swain, whose jet-black hair was streaked with gray, and whose sharp gaze swept across the entire room.
Sitting on the left is LeBlanc, the sorceress.
On the right is Darius, the Hand of Noxus, a general who wears heavy armor and wields a battle axe even during meetings.
"Regarding Piltover, I think—"
With a deafening roar, the palace roof was cleaved in two by a flash of axe light. Debris flew everywhere as Liu Chuang, wielding a battle axe, descended from the sky, accompanied by a giant black wolf.
Behind him followed Du Qiangwei and Rui Mengmeng.
The Noxian high command inside the hall remained remarkably calm; not a single person panicked or fled. Council members rose to their feet, hands on their weapons, watching the three men warily.
“An uninvited guest.” Swain slowly stood up, the raven on his shoulder cawing softly.
Liu Chuang, too lazy to waste words, raised his hand and unleashed a leaping slash. Darius reacted quickly, stepping forward and blocking with his battle axe raised horizontally.
"For Noxus!" he roared as he charged forward.
The two axes collided, and the result was predictable—Dareus's battle axe broke in two.
Liu Chuang changed the direction of his attack, slamming his axe into the ground. A huge crack appeared in the floor of the hall, stretching from the entrance all the way to the council table; the palace was split in two.
“What kind of power is this?” a member of parliament exclaimed.
Darius's weapon was destroyed, but he did not retreat. Grabbing the broken axe, he roared again and charged at Liu Chuang.
This indomitable spirit and courage are admirable, but utterly useless against absolute power. Liu Chuang dodged to the side and landed a punch on Darius's chest.
"Cough—" Darius flew out and crashed heavily into the wall, causing it to collapse and dust to billow up. The Hand of Noxus lay motionless on the ground.
Swain's eyes flashed red, and the demonic power within him stirred.
Liu Chuang turned and slashed at Swain. At the same time, Du Qiangwei had already met LeBlanc.
"I've long admired the name Black Rose." Du Qiangwei smiled slightly, and spacetime energy danced at her fingertips.
LeBlanc gracefully waved her staff: "Your power is indeed astonishing." She created several phantoms, launching attacks on Rose Du from various angles.
On the other side of the main hall, Ruimengmeng and Vladimir were locked in a fierce battle.
Blood magic is indeed very powerful, but he is now facing the Dawnbringer Ruimengmeng.
The battle was quickly decided. Liu Chuang shattered Swain's defenses with a single axe strike, suppressing him along with his demonic power.
Du Qiangwei easily saw through LeBlanc's illusion and went straight for LeBlanc's real body; Rui Mengmeng and Vladimir fought their way to the arena.
In less than half a minute, Noxus's high-end combat force was completely crushed.
"Swear allegiance to my god, or continue the rebellion." Liu Chuang's authoritative voice resounded throughout the hall.
After the battle, Du Qiangwei spotted Duk Kao and Katarina behind him in a corner of the council chamber. The two assassins exchanged a glance, Katarina's eyes filled with curiosity.
Du Qiangwei smiled slightly at her.
Meanwhile, Ruimengmeng chased Vladimir to the arena in the city. After severely injuring him many times, she finally captured him.
Then she noticed a familiar figure in the center of the arena—a white-haired woman holding a broken sword, standing straight despite her numerous wounds.
"Riven?" Rui Mengmeng called softly and stepped forward.
Riven stared in surprise at the familiar face before her: "Who are you?"
Rui Mengmeng extended her hand with a smile: "A friend from another world."
She gently pulled Riven up from the arena, and a strange feeling welled up in both of them.
Chapter 84 Hextech Explosion
Yang Yi sensed that lands were being conquered and numerous altars of faith were being built.
Each new altar would transmit a faint but steady force of faith to him.
"This is good progress." Yang Yi nodded in satisfaction, looking down at the world below.
Everything is progressing steadily. With the enhancements from the power of faith, even the Celestials of the League of Legends universe don't need him to take action personally.
The subordinates, strengthened by the power of faith, were more than capable of dealing with these so-called "gods".
While continuously conquering the world of League of Legends, Yang Yi has also successfully filled his otherworldly energy progress bar three times. Now he has three Hextech shards waiting to be drawn, which he is quite looking forward to.
"Let's see how my luck goes this time." Yang Yi opened the first Hextech option.
Three Hextech appeared before him:
The first one is the [Endless Recovery] he locked earlier, which restores 3% of health + 60-180 health points for every 1000 yards moved.
The second Hextech item is the [Universal Scope], which increases attack range. This was originally a very powerful Hextech item, but it's no longer of much use to Yang Yi at this point.
The third Hextech stat, "Unsheathe Your Sword," grants you only melee attacks, increasing your attack damage by 35%, health by 35%, life steal by 25%, and movement speed by 25%. Each stat increases with the loss of attack range.
"This Hextech is indeed powerful..." A hint of hesitation flashed in Yang Yi's eyes. The attribute bonuses were quite considerable, but the restriction of "only usable in combat" was too fatal.
"Forget it, being limited to melee combat would drastically lower my style rating." Yang Yi shook his head; maintaining his good looks was more important.
He decided to refresh the second Hextech, and a new option appeared:
[Dual Blade Style]: Attack speed increased by 80%, attack power and spell power reduced by 50%, attack effects are unaffected.
It's just so-so. The main problem is that I don't have any equipment with attack effects, so this Hextech system is too restrictive.
Refreshing again, another new Hextech Token appears:
[This is not a defense tower], you will get a defense tower that will follow you, attack enemies within its range, and grant shields to allies within its range.
"Who would carry a defensive turret around like that!" Yang Yi's lips twitched slightly. "What kind of Hextech stuff is this?"
Yang Yi then directly selected [Uninterrupted Recovery]. With his current movement speed, this Hextech item would allow him to almost instantly recover full health in battle, making it far more practical than other options.
"Let's look at the second group next."
Opening the second Hextech option reveals three new choices:
[Cutting-edge Inventor] Reduces the cooling effect of all equipment by 80%.
"This is great!" Yang Yi's eyes lit up. "Combined with Heart Steel, it's practically invincible!"
【Sniper】: Hitting a distant enemy with this skill will reduce its cooldown.
Yang Yi shook his head. This one is really not that great. The main reason is that Yang Yi's skills have almost no cooldown now, so choosing this one doesn't make much sense.
[Brutal Power]: Shrinks the body size, greatly increasing attack power and armor penetration.
"Make me shrink? Are you kidding me!" Yang Yi laughed and cried at the same time. "This might be powerful in the game, but in reality, no one can make me shrink!"
Yang Yi refreshed the [Sniper] and [Brutal Force] items, resulting in the appearance of two new Hextech items: [Golden Scales] and [Giant Titan].
【Shining Like Golden Scales】: You will open an equipment library and select one of the three basic Golden Scale Dragon equipment pieces, which will bring you gold coins.
That's true, but as I said before, the one thing Yang Yi has in abundance is money.
[Giant Titan]: Your health and size increase, but your speed and agility are greatly reduced.
Yang Yi had a deep impression of this Hextech; it was the legendary "Dumb Hextech," a Hextech champion Yang Yi had chosen when playing games before.
Just then, a five-cost card appeared right in front of him, but the distance that was so close seemed like an insurmountable chasm, and no matter how hard the Little Legend tried, he couldn't reach it.
Yang Yi almost smashed his computer because of high blood pressure.
Then, without hesitation, he chose the "Cutting-Edge Inventor" category.
This Hextech item is perfectly suited for Heartsteel, further accelerating his snowball effect.
What he needs most right now is an enemy that can't die so he can keep stacking steel. The enemies he's facing now are too fragile and can't withstand more than a few of his steel attacks.
"The last group, hopefully it won't be anything good." Yang Yi opened the third Hextech option.
【Charge! Charge! Charge!】 This ability accelerates you forward in an unstoppable manner, dealing damage when you collide with enemies. The longer you charge, the faster you move and the higher the damage, but there is a limit.
"The ceiling is too low, it's not fun." Yang Yi curled his lip. "I can do it myself, there's no need to waste a Hextech."
[Quantum Computing] summons a sharp blade to slash at surrounding enemies.
"Just average, nothing special."
