What if we find a way to return to Konoha in the future?

Yamato thought this way, and this was also the idea Kakashi had conveyed to him.

Kakashi actually hesitated before conveying this idea.

Is there still a chance to return to Konoha?

However, if he didn't say it that way, he was afraid that Yamato would be recklessly killed.

The group has now expanded from the initial Imperial trio to ten people.

The four members of Team 7: Zabuza and Haku, and Yamato.

"Let's find a place to eat and gather some information first!"

Kakashi gave the order.

Intelligence is always the most important thing in any place.

Although the One-Tailed Beast is in Sunagakure, its exact location is hard to say. This world has Jinchuriki, and if the Jinchuriki is scared away before it manifests its power, it's like finding a needle in a haystack.

The ten people split into three groups to gather intelligence.

Nagato with Naruto and Sasuke

Kakashi, along with Kakashi and Yamato

Zabuza, with Sakura and Haku

As for Daito, he acted alone, hoping to collect the essential resources in Sunagakure that could be used to build a teleportation tunnel, in order to avoid alerting the enemy and causing them to relocate the supplies.

Zabuza regained his Executioner's Blade, and his amassed wealth temporarily earned him the trust of the three men.

As for causing harm and damage to other ninja villages, he was happy for them to perish sooner, so after giving Sakura a stern threat, he and Haku desperately began gathering intelligence.

"Better to die than to die, my friend! Sunagakure! A poor place like yours should have perished long ago!"

As Zabuza spoke, he and Haku entered a clothing store to buy matching headwear, while also gathering information about the current state of Sunagakure.

Nagato, on the other hand, did not have the same concerns as Zabuza. In his view, gathering intelligence was just a matter of going to a restaurant, having tea and a meal, and spending some money.

After all, that's exactly what he did when he first arrived. It's a simple and direct method; he doesn't expect to extract any major information, just a general understanding is enough.

He believed no one could withstand his Earth Explosion Star attack.

Chapter 66 Entering the Hidden Sands, the Sand Gold Business?

Kakashi and Yamato, two staunch followers of Konoha, were not placed back into the Kamui dimension; this was a decision Kakashi made after careful consideration.

After all, they were unfamiliar with the area, but they did have some understanding of the situation in Sunagakure.

When gathering intelligence, having them around helps to better verify the authenticity of the information.

There is a peace treaty between Konoha and Sunagakure. Although the specific details are unknown, at least the two of them should know something about it.

If we can find a way to get information out of them, we can better deal with the current situation.

Compared to Nagato and Daito, Kakashi entered the inner circle of the Empire and began carrying out missions at a younger age, experienced more, and was more mature.

Besides these considerations, psychological factors also play a role. They are only loyal to Konoha, and when it comes to attacking enemy countries, they will definitely take advantage of their misfortune. There would be no situation where they would keep their information hidden.

The two of them were even happy to tell them more information.

Kakashi led the two Konoha members through the streets and alleys of Sunagakure, subtly trying to extract information from them. Yamato and Kakashi, feigning naivety, revealed everything they knew about Sunagakure.

"What? The Third Kazekage was very strong, but died inexplicably?"

"Huh? The Kazekage, a figure of great stature, specifically developed Magnet Release to mine rare metals for the sake of Sunagakure's finances?"

"Hey? Daito, did you hear that? Sunagakure has a lot of rare minerals like gold dust, which are precious materials for building teleportation tunnels!"

Kakashi gleaned a great deal of information from their conversation, and both Kakashi and Yamato felt a mixture of sorrow and relief at the impending fate of Sunagakure.

As expected, Sunagakure will become the outpost for the three legendary ninja of the Empire to establish an interdimensional teleportation channel.

The good news is that Konoha has temporarily escaped disaster. With Sunagakure present, they can definitely hold them off for a while. Even if they suffer losses, at least they can buy some time.

The bad news is that if one village is gone, the other will be vulnerable; if Sunagakure can be destroyed, then the collapse of Konoha is only a matter of time.

Nagato, Sasuke, and Naruto were already in a small tavern.

The generous Nagato immediately treated everyone in the room to drinks, which lowered many people's hostility towards these three inexplicable individuals.

"You're not from here, are you?"

A dark-skinned, older man with glazed eyes approached the three people.

He reeked of alcohol and was completely drunk.

Nagato frowned slightly, but quickly concealed it.

"Well, our family has been in business for generations. We've heard that your Sunagakure village has abundant minerals, so we brought two of our younger family members here to see if we can acquire some wealth from you."

Nagato smiled

Naruto was secretly amazed. This Nagato brother looked honest and simple, but he didn't expect him to lie without batting an eye!

Sasuke sipped his tea, appearing indifferent, but his ears were practically perked up.

So that's another reason you can use!

I was so worried about being exposed!

"Oh? You're here for placer gold too, right? What a pity."

Nagato, hearing the man hesitate, immediately became interested.

There is a play!

However, this person said nothing. He pouted, peered through the bottle, glanced at Nagato, then deliberately turned the bottle upside down and shook it.

Only after a long while did a single drop slowly flow out, which the old drunkard then greedily licked away.

Nagato, seeing this, suddenly understood. Although he inwardly despised it, he remained polite on the surface.

"Hey boss! Bring a few more bottles of wine for this uncle, the best you have!"

With the treasure provided by Zabuza, the group is now incredibly wealthy.

The old drunkard beamed with delight upon hearing Nagato's words, and continued his rambling monologue.

"In the past, I could say you could have made a fortune by reselling gold dust, but that's no longer possible."

"Oh? That's such a pity! Can I know why?"

Nagato, in perfect unison, feigned a look of regret.

He used to disdain such methods, but now, after seeing and hearing about this ninja world, he feels that any method that can achieve results is acceptable as long as the outcome is good, regardless of the process!

For example, the emperor's slaughter of one-third of the ninjas brought about lasting peace!

Countless people are saying that the ninja world is finished, completely finished.

He used to find the process unacceptable, so what if the result is good?

But now he realizes that as long as the outcome is good, then everything is settled! Completely settled!

With the Empire's current knowledge and results as a reference, does the process still matter?

The drunkard was quite satisfied with Nagato's performance. He glanced around and, only when he realized no one was paying much attention to the area did he speak solemnly:

"I definitely wouldn't tell this to just anyone, but since you bought me a drink, I don't mind revealing this secret to you."

"If you want placer gold now, you probably won't find it! Even if you did, it would be incredibly expensive!"

"If nothing unexpected happens, I'm afraid there won't be any more placer gold business to be done in the future!"

"You should forget about the gold dust business. I have a good suggestion. Our Sunagakure village is always short of various fruits. You could consider trying to sell some. If they're really hard to preserve, cough cough, you could brew them into wine and sell them! There's definitely a big market for that!"

The old drunkard licked his lips as he spoke, revealing a look of utter ecstasy.

Seeing Sasuke and Naruto staring at him, his face turned slightly red.

"Why are you all looking at me? It's not just me who loves to drink it; many people around here enjoy it!"

Nagato nodded. He had studied psychology within the Empire; if you echoed what others said and then added praise, you could quickly bridge the gap between two people.

He tentatively replied, "No problem! Senior! I've got your words in mind. I know for sure that your needs are basically everyone's needs!"

The old drunkard chuckled foolishly upon hearing this, waving his hands repeatedly and saying that Nagato should consider it further, as it was merely a humble suggestion from him.

"No problem, senior! But I'd like to ask you something: why is the placer gold business so difficult?"

Nagato lowered his voice, and two gold nuggets appeared in his hand.

The old drunkard's eyes widened instantly, and he almost couldn't stop drooling.

Good heavens! What is this? A piece of gold the size of a pigeon's egg! How much money is this worth? I could drink as much as I want for the next few years, right?

Unfortunately, the next moment, Nagato's hand clenched again.

Seeing the other party's strength, the old drunkard gritted his teeth and decided to tell him everything.

Anyway, he's just here to do business. He can make two big profits by revealing this well-known secret. He might as well make money!

I refuse to believe that this lousy businessman could possibly have any negative impact on Sunagakure after knowing this news of mine!

Chapter 67 The Kazekage is gone? The Jinchūriki is gone too?

The old drunkard glanced around warily again, then lowered his voice and whispered in Nagato's ear.

"I'm only telling you this because I feel we're destined to meet. Please don't tell anyone else!"

"Our village's Fengying has temporarily left the village. There are too many people who want gold dust right now, and the supply can't keep up with the demand. So I advise you to try other businesses as soon as possible!"

Nagato frowned slightly. The Kazekage left the village? Did he already know about our situation and went to get reinforcements?
