Shinobu Kocho wandered through the mountains and forests until dawn, but she still couldn't find the ghost.
"Very good, I remember you."
The ghost-hunting girl's face was grim, filled with regret. She deeply reflected on her actions and resolved to be more careful in the future, because allowing a ghost to escape could mean the deaths of countless people.

Chapter 9 Hello, Night City
[Time travel complete]
Current World: Cyberpunk
In a flash, the beautiful and dangerous ghost-hunting girl disappeared, replaced by severe light pollution that almost made him think it was daytime.
Blinking, Ke Ling took a step back. In front of him was a poster flashing neon colors, featuring a woman with her breasts exposed.
""
Ke Ling looked away and cautiously surveyed his surroundings. It was a small alley, and there was no one else around.
"Whoo~"
The safe environment relieved Ke Ling. He had been too overconfident and hadn't chosen to travel through time immediately. He had truly walked on the edge of death, and that feeling was not pleasant. It was indeed too difficult for a demon to negotiate with the Demon Slayer Corps, which specializes in killing demons.
"Fortunately, I've turned misfortune into blessing and finally arrived in a world that I'm familiar with."
Ke Ling smiled; even in the worst situations, he could find a good side.
I've completed Cyberpunk and understand the plot, which is much better than being completely clueless about Demon Slayer.
Most importantly, there are no demon hunters in this world, so it's much safer!
Although it sounds surreal, this terrible cyberpunk world is indeed safer for Ke Ling than the world of Demon Slayer.
"I just don't know what timeline we're in now."
Ke Ling meticulously followed the "Essential Guide for Transmigrators." Having transmigrated to a new world, with a system already in place, confirming the time and location became the first thing to do.
Ke Ling has just confirmed the location; it's written in the magazine that this is Night City, the main stage of the story.
Looking into the distance, a very conspicuous building stands tall; that is Arasaka Tower, the tallest building in Night City, visible from any direction in the city.
Without much hesitation, Ke Ling walked out of the alley. In this city, he could relax a bit.
Because of his appearance, he's not really that scary here; it can be explained by the fact that he's had too many strange hormones.
In Night City, there is a gang called the Animals Gang, whose members are outcasts in this world where cybernetic technology is highly advanced.
While others are suffering through the hardships of flesh and blood and ascending to mechanical heights, the members of the Animal Gang are returning to their true nature, advocating for physical sanctification.
Animal Gang pursues the most savage and primitive aspects of human nature, attempting to break through the boundaries between humans and animals and become a new subspecies.
Their appearance is different from that of ordinary people. It is common for them to have spots and stripes on their skin. It is not uncommon for them to have the jaw of a wild animal. Some even have transplanted muscles that can grow on their own.
Goodness, Ke Ling's appearance is so striking that he doesn't even need to introduce himself. He can just stand there casually, and even the leader of the "Animal Gang," Wild Man King, would give him a thumbs up.
Walking out of the alley openly, Ke Ling entered another alley, then stopped because he saw human figures ahead.
He was a homeless man, filthy, sitting against the wall with his head down, perhaps asleep.
Ke Ling frowned, somewhat speechless, because even this dirty homeless man smelled of meat to his nose.
At this moment, Ke Ling truly understood what it meant to be "both smelly and fragrant"—it really smelled bad, but it also really smelled good.
Ke Ling didn't touch the homeless man; he held his breath and prepared to walk past this "ugly yet fragrant" fellow.
Is there any food?
However, Ke Ling didn't speak, but the homeless man suddenly spoke up. He looked up at Ke Ling, his prosthetic eyes flashing red.
"sorry, we do not have that."
Ke Ling paused for a moment, then replied that it was the truth, there really wasn't any, and he didn't need any other food; his food was himself.
"Heh, you're actually apologizing to me?"
The homeless man lowered his head and ignored Ke Ling. Ke Ling turned and left, and he heard the homeless man muttering softly.
""
Ke Ling knew that life was indeed terrible for the underprivileged in this world, and there were countless people like this homeless man who were displaced and had lost everything.
Cyberpunk is a dystopian story about high technology and low living standards. The upper class enjoys the convenience of high technology, while ordinary people suffer from poor living conditions.
"boom!"
A gunshot rang out in the dimly lit alley.
Ke Ling's face stiffened for a moment as he heard the homeless man behind him get up.
"Damn it, he actually apologized to me! What good is an apology?! Is it even edible?!"
The homeless man stood up cursing, holding a pistol in his hand—the one who had just fired the shot.
In Night City, it seems perfectly reasonable for a homeless man, displaced and penniless, to carry a gun.
The homeless man walked toward Ke Ling, puzzled as to why this big guy could still stand.
Although his gun had a small caliber, he was certain that he had hit the big guy in the head with one shot, and his brains had splattered out.
"Oh~~~"
Ke Ling sighed. He'd almost forgotten that this wasn't some normal city; this was Night City, for crying out loud.
"Damn it! What was that?! Didn't I hit it?!"
Ke Ling's sigh startled the homeless man, who even thought he was hallucinating.
However, this thought quickly vanished as the burly man with a bloody hole in his head turned around.
Under the terrified gaze of the homeless man, Ke Ling suddenly shook his head, dislodging the bullet lodged in his skull; the flesh inside had already healed.
"Tell me, wouldn't it be better to let me go? Why do you have to be so suicidal?"
Ke Ling asked the homeless man, who was almost paralyzed with fear, a question, but he didn't want to know the answer.
"Bang Bang Bang!!!"
"Die, monster!!!"
The homeless man didn't even bother to answer. He raised his gun and unleashed a smooth "empty magazine" combo at Ke Ling.
However, his magazine seemed to be running low on bullets, indicating that the homeless man was indeed running out of ammunition.
After emptying the magazine, the homeless man gasped for breath, and then he was surprised to find that the monster in front of him seemed to have stopped moving.
"Pfft!"
Ke Ling extended one claw and plunged it directly into the throat of the homeless man, who was beaming with joy, piercing through it completely.
The homeless man reached out, trying to save himself, but his blood was already gushing out from Ke Ling's claws, and the light in his prosthetic eyes gradually dimmed.
"Even with his brains splattered out, he didn't die. Do you think firing more shots will work?"
Ke Ling pulled out his claws, shook off the blood, and then wiped them on the homeless man's body.
When Ke Ling committed murder for the first time, she did not feel anything unusual. She did not feel like she was dying, nauseous, vomiting, or experiencing heart palpitations.
Maybe it's because this guy is just too despicable? He attacked us from behind for no reason, without any grudge against us?
This guy isn't a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, and he doesn't even know he's a demon. He just wants to kill him and use his body to make some money.
Killing this guy was like crushing an ant for Ke Ling; if he had to compare it to killing rats or monkeys before, it wasn't much different.
“No, there is a difference.”
Seeing the message "Ding! Experience +5," Ke Ling fell into deep thought. Where did these 4 extra experience points come from?

Chapter 10 Wild Cleaners
"Is it because you're carrying a gun? Gun-wielding increases combat power by 5?"
Ke Ling picked up the homeless man's gun. It was indeed a very small handgun, very inconspicuous when hidden on his person. As for the caliber of the bullet, Ke Ling had already experienced it firsthand.
"Look at this model, it looks a bit like a Lexington from a military technology company. Tsk, this gun, if you're not a good shot, you'd better not use it."
Ke Ling started to complain, expressing her feelings after being shot. To put it simply, the damage was too low, comparable to a water gun. Unless it hits a vital area, it's hard to cause much damage.
"But how can such an unremarkable weapon directly increase a homeless person's experience points by 5? How exactly does this system determine the acquisition of experience points?"
Ke Ling couldn't quite understand this, but he wasn't in a hurry. There would be plenty of time to explore it slowly in the future.
While squeezing the bullet out of his body, Ke Ling tucked the small pistol into his pocket and glanced at the homeless man's corpse.
If he could, Ke Ling would like to change his clothes, but even if he continued to wear his current tattered clothes, he would not want to change into the clothes of a homeless person.
There was nothing that could be done; even though his clothes were covered in dried blood, they still smelled more normal than the homeless man's clothes.
"Huh? Someone is here again?"
Ke Ling was about to leave when the scent of humans wafted into his nostrils once again.
Two people entered from the alleyway. Both were disheveled, carrying black bags on their backs. One was holding a submachine gun, and the other had various scalpels stuck in his body.
Ke Ling saw the two people, and they naturally saw him as well, along with the homeless man's corpse on the ground.
"Ha, looks like we're in luck today."
The two men did not show any signs of tension at having stumbled upon a murder scene; one of them even whistled excitedly.
"Hey bro, if you don't want this, we'll take it."
One of the two men walked towards Ke Ling. He was carrying a submachine gun, wearing a narrow-brimmed hat, and his face looked like that of an Eastern European.
What do you want him for?
Ke Ling took a step back, making way for the body, appearing as if she didn't want to get into a conflict with the two men.
