Yefrit's expression changed.
Why is it a "kucha" instead of a "click"?!
The sound is much quieter and not as crisp as before!
He questioned the shop assistant.
The salesperson looked bewildered. "Sir, this is because new cameras are designed to reduce noise. This camera uses the latest technology, and the noise level has been reduced to a minimum."
“No!” Yefrit had never said so seriously. “Bigger is better, I want bigger!”
"Um," the shop assistant thought for a moment and said, "Sir, how about we have a repairman modify your camera? That way, you can have whatever sound you want."
“That works too,” Yevli nodded.
So he stayed in this town temporarily.
Perfect timing! He has time to organize it and submit firsthand information.
In the past few days, domestic newspapers have been reporting on Fairy Tail's victory over Iron Forest, but the reports are not detailed enough and contain many errors.
Of course, only he has the data for close-up investigation.
He organized the photos, wrote the article, and then went to the town's post office to mail it to "Magic Weekly," a long-term partner and one of the most well-known magazines in the country.
"Erigor is still alive after fighting Natsu, but he will die after my article is published, well, socially dead."
Yefried muttered to herself as she walked.
He specifically chose this scene—Erigor's "of course" expression as he scolded his subordinates for letting Fairy Tail escape. He highlighted this scene and included a picture from that time.
It's a pity there weren't any pictures of Erik Gol being beaten up by Natsu; otherwise, such a stark contrast would have garnered even more praise from readers.
I heard that when the Council of Judges arrested the members of the Iron Forest, only Erigor escaped.
Yefriede became "concerned" about Erico's situation.
I wonder where Xiao Gao has gone. Is the communication there any good? Can you receive newspapers there?
That's really worrying.
I hope he develops the habit of paying attention to newspaper information.
Chapter 13, A Strange Group of People
"Hahaha, Mom, come and catch me!"
"Run slower."
Behind me came the child's cheerful laughter and his mother's worried voice.
'puff'
Yefried felt as if she had been bumped.
He turned around and saw a little boy sitting on the ground behind him, holding an ice cream cone with the ice cream on it spilled out.
"Oh, sir, I'm so sorry!" the woman who had been chasing after the boy hurriedly apologized.
"Waaaaah, my ice cream!" the child cried out.
Looking at Yefried's clothes, the woman felt that he was no ordinary person; he must be either rich or noble!
Not wanting to cause trouble, she quickly picked up the child and said, "Sir, I'm so sorry to have gotten your clothes dirty. This is all the money I have on me."
As she spoke, she began to take out her money.
“No need,” Yefrit said with a smile. “This is a mage’s cloak; it won’t get dirty easily.”
He showed the woman the cloak behind him, and she was relieved to see that it was indeed clean and that Yefrit's smile was very friendly.
But the child was crying, "My ice cream, boohoo!"
"Don't cry! Did I ever teach you to be so rude?" The woman quickly slapped the child's bottom and reprimanded him sternly.
The child stopped crying and sobbed softly.
The woman said, "Quickly apologize to this gentleman!"
The child, wiping away tears, bowed respectfully and apologized, "I'm sorry, sir."
"It's alright, you're such a good child who knows how to admit and correct her mistakes." Yefrit asked with a smile, "What's your name?"
"My name is Tom."
Yefrit said gently, "Little Tom, I'm a magician. Would you like to see me perform a magic trick and conjure up an ice cream?"
"Really?" Tom asked in surprise.
“No, sir, that would be too much trouble for you,” the woman said quickly.
“Don’t worry about it,” Yefrit said with a smile.
Young, handsome, friendly, and with a cheerful smile, the woman blushed instantly.
"look."
Yefried took out a card, and the two of them stared at it intently.
With a flick of his wrist, a beautiful ice cream replaced the card and appeared in his hand.
"Wow!"
Tom exclaimed in surprise.
"Look, a magician! He's amazing! Brother, can you do magic?" came another child's excited voice from the side.
Yefried looked over and saw a group of people who looked unusual and clearly weren't good people.
The leader had an extra eye on his forehead, and all three of the other person's eyes were looking at him.
These three eyes seemed to see through everything. The other party's gaze was arrogant and disdainful, as if a higher-level being was looking down on Yefrit, a lower-level being.
The noisy one was the little boy next to him. This child looked unusual; his skin was so white it seemed to have no melanin at all.
They were wearing prison uniforms, but the sleeves and trouser legs were torn short, turning them into prison-style shorts and t-shirts.
All the exposed skin on his body was covered with rings of teeth marks.
He had iron collars around his neck, hands, and feet. His eyes were bloodshot, and he grinned, his teeth as sharp as a shark's.
"He's not a magician," the three-eyed man said calmly. "He's a fraud."
"Huh? But he turned the cards into ice cream!" the little boy exclaimed.
"That's not magic," the three-eyed man was about to reveal.
Yefried looked at him with icy eyes.
“Fairy Tail people, don’t cause trouble.” A hunchbacked old man tugged at his sleeve.
"Fairy Tail?" the little boy exclaimed excitedly. "I know, I know! Big guild, delicious!"
"Hey, you big liar, I can eat you. Waaah."
Before the little boy could finish speaking, the burly man behind him covered his mouth.
The hunchbacked old man forced a smile and said, "Children speak without thinking, sir, please don't take it to heart."
Done.
The group slowly "wriggled" away.
Yevlit stopped paying attention and smiled again as he handed the ice cream to Tom, who had been waiting eagerly.
"Take it."
"Mom," Tom pleaded, looking at his mother.
“No, sir, we can’t have it,” the woman quickly refused. “It’s the child’s fault anyway.”
“It’s alright.” Yefrit gave the ice cream to the child, then looked at the woman and said, “But don’t let the child run around in the street, it’s very dangerous. If he runs into those weirdos, it’ll be troublesome.”
"Yes, it was my mistake." The woman lowered her head, reflecting on her actions.
"Alright, I have other things to attend to, so I'll take my leave now."
Yefried's voice came through.
"Thank you, kind sir."
The woman looked up quickly, but Yefrit had already disappeared.
"Mom, this gentleman disappeared suddenly! He's amazing! I want to be a magician when I grow up!" Tom exclaimed excitedly.
"Then you must study hard and learn more knowledge." The woman stroked the child's head, thinking: To be able to disappear instantly, one must be a sorcerer, not a magician!
I wonder which guild's mage he is; he's so approachable.
An ice cream stand not far from here.
The busy shop owner didn't notice that the cash register was quietly opened, 300J was put into it, and then the cash register was pushed back and locked.
Yefried was extremely pleased with the new camera.
He even hung the rope around his neck.
However, he took it down with disdain after hanging it for less than an hour.
It's too heavy to wear around my neck, and it's inconvenient for everything.
No more delays.
He took a train on a different line back to Magnolia, and then a horse-drawn carriage back to the guild.
“Yefrit, you’ve come back just in time,” Gray said. “Natsu is going to duel Erza.”
"What's so interesting about their fight?" Yefrit said, indicating she wasn't interested.
"But is it really a good idea for two members of the guild's strongest team to fight?" Lucy asked with some concern.
"Huh? What strongest squad?" Gray asked, puzzled.
Lucy said, "Isn't it just Erza, Yefrit, Natsu, and you, the top four of Fairy Tail?"
"Who said that?" Gray's expression was strange, a mixture of confusion and bewilderment. "Erza and Yefrit are one thing, but even though I don't want to admit it, one has to be an S-rank mage in the guild to be considered a strong person."
