Shen You raised an eyebrow.

"you know me?"

That's a bit surprising. Agent Mike Williams shouldn't know anyone, since this person was a fabricated identity from the start, and even the face was just something he randomly created.

"Of course. I've gone through a lot of reports while I was on duty, and I've seen your name several times. Especially that cleanup operation against the Blood Cultists. Dude, you practically single-handedly wiped out the entire city's Blood Cultists!"

"Uh, thank you."

That's unexpected. I didn't realize Agent Mike had such a good reputation.

"Listen, it's nice to chat with you. Who are you?

“Holt.” The fat man chuckled and held out his somewhat chubby hand.

“Okay, Holt.” Shen You shook hands with him. “If it’s after get off work, I’d be happy to chat with you more. Maybe have dinner or drinks together.”

"Really? You're willing?"

Holt's eyes lit up.

"I've never had many friends. When I was in school, everyone said I was weird, and maybe there was some truth to that. It's because all I know how to do is interact with computers."

But actually, I didn't mean to. I also want to communicate with people, especially spies, ruthless figures in the organization, like heroes like you. I really admire heroes, you know.”

"Stop, stop."

Shen You immediately made a stop gesture.

He suddenly felt that Barry should be the one to deal with this guy. Putting the two of them together, he wondered who would annoy whom the first.

"Listen, I'm not finished yet. I'd love to, but I have a job right now, and if I don't go soon, my superiors will start nagging me. So how about we exchange contact information and make an appointment sometime?"

"Oh, of course, sure, no problem at all."

Holt continued to wave at Shen You's retreating figure even after he had left.

"I'll make the call!"

Having shaken off his enthusiastic programmer phase, Shen You began to ponder how Agent Mike, a alias he'd casually created, had somehow already taken root within the organization. Developing Mike's influence in the future wasn't out of the question.

After bypassing the surveillance and locating the approximate area, Shen You simply used a wall-passing technique to burrow underground.

He landed half-squatting down, and when he turned his head, he was met with a pair of beady eyes.

Rough skin, massive body, sharp, fine teeth like countless weapons arranged in a serrated row, huge back fins like sharp swords, and small, bloodshot eyes filled with doubt.

Shark King, a future core member of the Suicide Squad. He possesses superhuman strength and regenerative abilities granted by the bloodline of the Old Gods, and is especially skilled in underwater combat, making him a heavy weapon for the Suicide Squad.

At this moment, this powerful mutated creature

He was sitting on the toilet, squatting.

The Shark King, who was happily squatting, stared blankly at the strange man who had suddenly come down through the wall.

Shen You patted himself and calmly stood up.

"Excuse me, could you please let me pass?"

As he spoke, he turned and walked towards the prison door. A flash of light appeared on his body, and he passed through the wall and out of the locked door.

The Shark King was shocked.

Could it be that my cell only has a door, but the door is actually fake?

It jumped up without even pulling up its pants, and mimicked Shen You's actions by patting itself and swaggering towards the door.

Snapped.

I bumped my nose.

The Shark King scratched his head blankly, muttering to himself.

"Did I get too excited?"

Meanwhile, outside Belreve prison.

The transparent aircraft approached silently while in stealth mode, and a whole squad of soldiers dressed in strange uniforms and fully armed sat neatly inside the cabin.

"I believe everyone is already aware of today's task."

The team leader paced back and forth in the cabin, speaking in a deep voice.

"After a long investigation, we have finally confirmed that the Martians are here. Mr. Mannheim said that none of us will be able to go back today without the Martians."

And we will never let him down.

"Take down the Martians!" everyone shouted in unison.

"very good."

The team leader nodded in satisfaction.

"Then get ready, we're launching a surprise attack on Belreve within one minute!"

Chapter 231 Martians

Area C-703 is like an iron barrel prison, surrounded by all sorts of security devices that engineers could think of. The layers of reinforcement make it almost impenetrable, and a red "X" is prominently printed on the door.

However, Shen You tore apart each layer of obstacles with his bare hands.

He swaggered in and quickly found his destination, confirming that he had found the right place.

The room was dark and gloomy, spacious but almost devoid of light. In the center of the room was a circular platform, upon which stood a green figure. Countless cables were attached to him, and a device above his head was releasing some kind of transparent wave downwards, forming a force field invisible to the naked eye that bound him within it.

It was a body that, by human standards, was so thin it was almost skeletal. It had a humanoid torso and limbs, but the structure was vastly different. Its slender and strangely elongated physique, with a flat face and no nose, was by human aesthetic standards far from being considered attractive.

Without a doubt, that was Ron Jungs, the Martian Manhunter.

Shen You could tell at a glance that the force field wasn't just for restricting movement; it was a cage specifically designed for psychic superpowers. It blocked the transmission and reception of mental signals, preventing Uncle Jon from trying to contact the outside world using telepathy.

Shen You walked to the control panel and deactivated the force field. The invisible fluctuations disappeared, and Martian Hunter was about to fall to his knees, but Shen You flashed from the control panel to his side and caught him.

He looked very weak.

Martian Hunter barely opened his eyes and looked up to see the face of the person supporting him.

"Who are you.?"

"I'm here to help you," Shen You said. "I'll take you out now."

Martian Manhunter opened his mouth, about to say something, but was suddenly interrupted as if electrocuted. His body convulsed, his expression contorted in pain, and he clenched his teeth, his face contorted in agony.

"What?" Shen You asked.

"No, they're coming, they're coming!" Martian Hunter said, clutching his head in anguish.

"Who's coming?" Shen You frowned.

“They…they’ve been trying to contact me.” The Martian hunter was almost incoherent. “The shielding field had been interfering with the signal, so I only received a few fragments intermittently.”

But now... there are too many of these images, they're all in my head... ugh!

Martian Manhunter swung his arms, his eyes turned bloodshot, and veins bulged from his arms to his face, complex lines running across his entire body.

"A great apocalypse is coming."

He spoke woodenly, like a broken doll.

"For Darkseid!"

At this point, Shen You understood perfectly well that he had been attacked by a mental ability.

Perhaps due to his prolonged imprisonment, Uncle Jon Snow's abilities and mental state were at their weakest. Apokolips took advantage of this weakness, attempting to brainwash him through mental attacks and turn him into a powerful ally in their invasion operation.

This also allowed Shen You to be 100% certain that his guess was correct—the International Gang was indeed backed by Apocalypse Star.

If things followed the usual pattern, Shen You and Uncle Jiong should be fighting right now, with Shen You trying to reason with him and appeal to his emotions while he fights, helping him to overcome his descent into darkness and regain his strength.

If it were Superman, he might do that.

Unfortunately for the intruder, he was Ultraman.

Shen You remained calm and placed his hand on Uncle Jiong's head. Light energy surged, and purifying light began to flow into Uncle Jiong's head.

In an instant, blue light illuminated the entire passage. The light pierced through the Martian hunter's eyes, the virus-like veins gradually faded, and his eyes gradually regained their clarity, radiating a dazzling blue glow.

His eyes widened as he saw the image he longed for deepest within him, an image that seemed to come from a past life.

His wife and daughters, who had long since perished in the catastrophe that wiped out Mars.

"Rong En!"

"father!"

The Martian hunter could hardly believe it and slowly reached out his hand.

"Why?"

He and his family embraced tightly.

Tears welled up in the Martian's eyes.

“This isn’t real, is it? A beautiful fantasy?” he said, choking back tears.

Even knowing it was a dream, he didn't want to wake up. The feeling was so real, so wonderful. He felt an incredible peace.

Since the Martians went extinct, he has been wandering and has never been able to find a moment of peace.

“No, it’s not a dream, Ron.” His wife cupped his face and whispered, “It’s a blessing.”

"I'm so sorry, I couldn't save you," Ron said softly. "I let you down; I should have saved you."

His wife smiled and shook her head.

“There’s no need for that, Ron.” She reached out and gently placed her hand on Ron’s heart. “We are not dead, never have. We live in your heart, always with you. The sight of us now is the best proof.”

I had no other requests in the past, and I only have one request now.

“Go ahead,” Rong En nodded, “no matter what.”

"That is, stop torturing yourself with the past. Even for our sake, Rong En, hold your head high and live a good life."

"I promise."

His daughter clung tightly to him, and his wife smiled with relief. Both of them transformed into blue specks of light and vanished into the narrow passage.
