Let's start over, Your Majesty.

Chapter 316 Marshall's Family Dinner

Chapter 316 Marshall's Family Dinner

“I’ve prepared a special coming-of-age gift for you, Caesar,” Ita winked at him.

Caesar stared at her for a few seconds, then chuckled: "Ita, you're not going to say later that the gift you prepared was yourself, are you?"

Ita was taken aback, and then her face turned red to a visible degree.

"Nonsense, what nonsense are you talking about? I didn't say that."

She muttered to herself, but didn't say anything in the end. She patted Caesar on the chest and then jumped off him.

"I still have work to do! I'm not talking to Caesar anymore!"

"Little girl."

Caesar chuckled as he watched her retreating figure.

The housekeeper, Kardashian, came over and whispered something in his ear. Caesar nodded.

"I understand. Let Yumilia come back first, get her ready, and we'll go tonight."

Today, according to the itinerary, we are going to visit the Enrid family.

As night fell, Caesar and Yumilia, dressed in their finest attire, arrived at the Marshall family mansion.

The car stopped, Caesar got out, then turned around, took Yumilia's hand, and helped her out.

They walked together toward the gate.

There, Mansliwe, Cons, and Sia were already waiting.

"Caesar! Good evening!"

Cons laughed and walked over, putting his arm around his shoulder as a greeting.

"Oh, by the way, Mrs. Yumilia, good evening. You still look so beautiful and young."

Cons gave Yumilia a standard gentleman's bow and said with a slight smile.

"Th-thank you," Yumilia said nervously.

“Aunt Manslivie,” Caesar greeted the noblewoman.

Years have passed, but like other elves such as Yumilia, Manslivia shows no change in appearance. She remains as noble and elegant as ever, though she seems somewhat tired in her demeanor.

"Caesar, it's been a long time. You look like you've grown a lot," Manslivi said to Caesar with a faint smile.

"This is also thanks to the teacher's guidance," Caesar replied.

Then he looked at Sia to the side, smiled and nodded in acknowledgment, and Sia also gave him a simple smile.

"Madam, it's been a long time. I'm sorry to bother you tonight." Yumilia stepped forward and greeted Manslivi nervously.

Whether it's the other person's aura or not, Yumilia is still very nervous when facing her.

The group exchanged pleasantries and entered the elaborately decorated restaurant, where they took their seats.

Then the entire room fell silent, everyone waiting for the person in the main seat to appear.

The restaurant door was opened by two guards, followed by the rustling sound of a wheelchair being pushed by an assistant. Inside the wheelchair sat a pale-faced Enled.

This prime minister of the kingdom has not appeared in public for more than half a year. The official explanation is that he is unwell and needs to recuperate, but the actual situation is much worse.

Today, Enrede's face is thin, and his lips have lost most of their color. Sitting in a wheelchair, although he straightens his back to make himself look more energetic, he still cannot hide his dejected appearance.

Everyone remained silent. The secretary pushed him to the head seat at the dining table, where a maid tied his apron and poured him a glass of red wine.

So Caesar was the first to raise his glass, rising to offer it to Enride.

"Teacher, I'm sorry to visit you so late. Let me toast you first."

Enred gave a low hum, but didn't even look at him. After the servants had finished tidying him up, he slowly raised his wine glass, gestured to Caesar, and then brought it to his lips, taking only a small sip.

He put down his wine glass, ignoring Caesar, and looked at Cons: "How's the work on Zacardo's side going?"

“Most have started to move away, but a few are opposing the government and have formed their own armed groups, making it very difficult for the local government to handle,” Cons replied.

"Do things the way they should, don't delay," Enled said calmly.

“I know, Father, you don’t need to worry,” Cons said confidently.

Only then did Enride seem to notice Caesar, waving his hand: "Sit down, sit down."

Caesar then sat down.

Enlid's gaze then turned to Manslivi.

Manslivi met his gaze and then nodded slightly.

The exchange between the two seemed to be completed in that instant.

Caesar sipped his red wine, his gaze sweeping over Enred and Manslivie's faces. After a moment's thought, he spoke:

"Teacher, the last time it was the head of the Energy Department office at Fatis Palace."

"Caesar."

Enred raised a hand to him with his eyes closed:

"Today is a gathering of our two families, so let's not talk about work."

Caesar paused for a moment, then nodded. "I misspoke." "It's a rare gathering, and you've just returned from abroad. Just relax and enjoy yourself," Enlid said calmly.

He smiled faintly at Yumilia: "Madam, please don't be so formal."

"Ah, yes, yes!" Yumilia quickly sat up straight.

The banquet began, with the clinking of cutlery on the table. Occasionally, Enrede would ask Caesar some everyday questions, mostly about his experiences in Pawi, focusing on small, everyday matters.

“The conditions over there aren’t good. If you need anything, just tell the logistics committee and use Constance’s name,” Enlid said.

“No need, teacher,” Caesar said. “I was going there to gain experience anyway. An overly comfortable environment will corrupt one’s mind.”

“Hey! Caesar, you’re wrong about that. If there’s a chance to enjoy something, you should enjoy it. How can you force yourself to suffer if you don’t want to?” Cons said from the side.

“Hehe, that’s true, but I don’t ask for much in terms of living conditions. I’d be perfectly content with a clean and quiet dormitory,” Caesar said.

"After all, I am going to work for the glory of the kingdom. With this belief in my heart, no matter how difficult the environment is, it is nothing."

Enlid finally smiled upon hearing his words and looked at Caesar, saying, "But Cons is right. If there are conditions to improve, don't force yourself; it's bad for your health."

“Yes, I understand,” Caesar replied.

The subsequent conversation was similar, seemingly casual chatter. However, a small incident occurred halfway through the meal. Enlid had just put down his glass after drinking half of his drink when his secretary behind him gave him a wink, signaling the servant to take the glass away.

Enrede seemed very unhappy with this action. He picked up a napkin from the table, wiped his mouth, and then slammed the napkin onto the table.

"By the way, Caesar, Sia will take you to the Summit Gathering next month," he said casually.

"Ok?"

Caesar and Sia immediately exchanged a glance.
The summit is only for high-ranking figures from different countries. It's fine for Xia to go, given his current status.
"My current identity is probably..." Caesar said.

Cons spoke first: "Hey, what's there to be afraid of? With Sia by your side, who would dare question your identity? Right?"

He raised an eyebrow at Xia.

Sia pursed her lips; she knew in her heart Enride's purpose in doing so.

This was a pledge of allegiance, and Caesar had no choice but to accept it. Being able to attend such an important gathering would certainly be crucial to his future career, but by doing so, he was essentially on the Unger faction's ship and couldn't get off.

Incidentally, we also want to give them another public appearance to subtly indicate their relationship.

Caesar pursed his lips and said to Enred, "Thank you, teacher, for giving me this opportunity."

Then he said to Sia, "Well then, Sia, I'll be leaving the rest to you."

After exchanging glances, Xia smiled faintly and said, "Okay, then come over again sometime later, and I'll give you a refresher on the rules of the gathering."

“No problem,” Caesar said.

Enled watched the conversation between the two young men and women on either side of the table, a glint of light in his eyes.

“Um, thank you very much for the hospitality tonight. Your stew was delicious, Mrs. Manslivy.” Yumilia said to them with a reserved farewell.

"You're welcome, Lady Yumilia. If you like, you're welcome to come often." Manslivi simply smiled faintly.

"Well then, thank you for your hospitality today, teacher, Ms. Manslivy,"

Upon reaching the entrance, Caesar addressed the group behind him.

The secretary pushed Enlid's wheelchair up:

"Caesar, take a good rest during this time and don't overthink things. If there's anything left for Pavi, let Cons handle it," Enlid said calmly.

“Yes, I know. Teacher, please take care of yourself and recover as soon as possible. The kingdom cannot lose you,” Caesar said.

Enled nodded calmly.

"Hey, Sia, we're about to part ways, aren't you going to give Caesar a kiss?" Cons said with a chuckle.

Xia choked for a moment, then said with a twitching smile, "That's very rude of you."

Caesar also twitched his lips slightly, looking somewhat embarrassed.

After saying goodbye again, Caesar and Yumilia got into the car.

“Sigh, Lady Manslivy has such a powerful aura, I get so nervous every time I see her,” Yumilia said, patting her chest.

“You did very well; at least you didn’t drink the thick sauce like you did before,” Caesar said with a smile.

"Caesar, stop making fun of me," Yumilia said, pouting.

"well."

Caesar chuckled.

When I saw Enlid today, just as I expected, his physical condition had deteriorated to an irreversible degree.

He carefully observed that Enred's hands were trembling when he picked up the knife and fork. Even though he used a lot of perfume to cover it up, he could still smell the scent of alchemical potions on Enred.

Even magic couldn't heal his body, let alone modern medicine.

Enlid probably won't make it through this year.

Once he dies, it will be time for me to launch a full-scale attack and seize power.

But before that, he had to ensure that Enred could "die peacefully".
