Wasn't it because that Bodhisattva Kinnara felt that Buddhism was no longer the original Buddhism that he went on a killing spree as the Buddha Wutian?
Since the law is not the original law, and heaven is not the original heaven, what harm is there in enforcing the law and destroying the filthy Buddhist community?

Xuan Yin had wondered before: since those two saints knew that a demonic calamity would occur, why did they never think of dealing with Kinnara in advance?
He only truly understood the essence of Buddhism and Taoism and the demonic path after he figured out the cause and effect between the doctrines of the Chan and Jie schools, which are intertwined.

The Buddha and the demon are two sides of the same coin. Without the demon, how can the Buddha's greatness and righteousness be highlighted?
If there were no illusory Buddhas, how could the demonic path's pleasures and vengeance be highlighted?

Who can guarantee that if they do something despicable and provoke a Buddhist disciple, it won't give birth to another Buddha without heaven?
