Chapter 15 15: A History of Magic
Bins emerged from the wall, his head popping out first, followed by his entire body.

The temperature in the classroom seemed to drop as soon as he appeared.

Sheen noticed that a small portion of the candle flames at the front of the classroom had turned blue.

"Emerick was a short-lived but extremely cruel dark wizard."

He was killed by his opponent, Egbert, in an extremely bloody duel…

Professor Binns began his lecture as soon as he entered the classroom, without any opening remarks or roll call.

As a ghost, he didn't care about any of that.

"The eccentric Yurik is an ancient, strange sorcerer."

He is famous for things like wearing jellyfish on his head like a hat...

He once slept in a room with no fewer than fifty pheasants.

In a particularly damp winter,

Yurik, upon hearing the call of the pheasant, became convinced that he was dead and had become a ghost.

Yurik then attempted to walk through the wall of his own house, an act that resulted in what biographer Radolf Peterman described as a "ten-day concussion"...

Professor Binns' voice always had inexplicable pauses and drawn-out endings, which sounded very strange.

“I heard—that,”

Michael, standing beside him, suddenly spoke in Professor Binns's tone.
Anthony in the back row stopped taking notes, and Terry also stopped examining the strangely shaped rune in his hand.

Even Sheen turned his head slightly.

Michael, with his extensive social network, always had novel information, a fact known to all three of them.

"Professor Binns was a professor at Hogwarts a long time ago."
One day, the elderly professor who taught the history of magic fell asleep in front of the fireplace in the staff lounge.
He woke up and went straight to his next class, but—

Professor Binns' voice echoed in the classroom, and almost all the young wizards were distracted.

Some whispered among themselves, while others simply lay down and went to sleep.

Having memorized the entire history of magic, Sheen diligently took notes.

He discovered that the history of Western magic seemed discontinuous, with Professor Binns focusing more on the deeds of figures and confirmed legends.

As for the important events, such as the automatic crucible stirrer, they all appear alongside the characters.

Professor Binns' lectures lacked a clear logic, and it was unclear whether this was due to the nature of magical history or because he had lost his logical abilities after becoming a ghost.

But even from these scattered events, Sheen still managed to piece together a clear narrative.

For history-related subjects, there's one method that always works.

He wrote furiously, and after Professor Binns finished speaking his last sentence, he turned the parchment sideways.

Michael, standing next to him, curiously leaned over to take a look.
Then he discovered that in Sheen's notes,

A clear timeline connects all the knowledge points.

"Merlin, Sheen, you are a genius."

Michael muttered to himself, realizing that he could actually remember those obscure pieces of knowledge.

Sheen didn't care. He nodded slightly, thinking that this should be enough to achieve excellence.

As soon as get out of class ended, the little wizards all woke up automatically.
After Professor Binns left, everyone chattered as they walked out of the classroom.

"Sheen, want to play Connect Four?"

Michael enthusiastically invited Sheehan.

"No."

Sheen was curious about this unfamiliar thing, but he had to go to the greenhouse.

"Ok."

Michael pouted and watched Sheen walk away.

Following Bruce's advice, Sheen stopped in front of the first building.

The towering dome glittered in the sunlight, reflecting the sky and the drifting clouds.

The heavy wooden frame looked old and sturdy, with some of the dark green paint peeling off to reveal the dark wood underneath. When the wooden door was pushed open...
A warm, humid, and vibrant atmosphere immediately enveloped me.

Professor Sprout was waving her wand with practiced ease, and in the blink of an eye, the muddy path was cleared.

“Mr. Green, you’ve come at just the right time. Could you please help me tidy up the clutter?”

As Professor Sprout spoke, he picked up a small shovel and placed a dark red plant deep inside the greenhouse.

Sheen looked closely,

The long planting platform was somewhat messy, with small puddles, splashes of water, and bits of plant debris scattered on it—such as the dark green, sticky fragments of Angelica pubescens described in the book.

“Scour-g-ify!”

Sheen pronounced the spell accurately and waved his wand according to experience.

The next moment, the small planting platform in front of Sheen was cleaned up.

Sheen focused his mind and began to wave his wand continuously:
“Scour-g-ify!”

Professor Sprout looked at the hardworking young wizard with a warm smile on his face.

Before collapsing from exhaustion, Sheen still managed to finish cleaning the greenhouse.
Professor Sprout waved his wand,
A glass of honey lemonade floated into Sheen's hands.

"Have some honey water and rest for a while, Mr. Green."

Looking at the clean and tidy planting platform, Sheen felt a sense of accomplishment.

Of course, the majority of the increase comes from the Cleansing Spell, which adds 66 proficiency.

Sheen put away his wand, sat on the small stool that Professor Sprout had summoned, and an idea popped into his mind:
While doing odd jobs is fine, the focus now is on learning how to process herbs.

"Professor, may I help you process the herbs?"

Sheehan spoke quickly, causing Professor Sprout, who was about to walk to the oak table at the other end, to pause slightly.
"Welcome, I mean, why not?"

Professor Sprout blinked, and Sheen stopped drinking his honey lemonade and trotted after the chubby professor.
