Chapter 288 Is the person upstairs also a guest?

"Speaking of which, this matter is actually related to you as well."

When Luzer asked what had happened, Klein couldn't help but smile wryly and briefly explained the situation to him.

The owner of the demon dog?

revenge?

Lu Ze seemed somewhat surprised after hearing this.

The giant dog was killed by himself, but in the end, it was Isengard and his group of detectives who suffered the consequences.
After a moment's thought, he realized that it was probably because Isengard was the one who contacted the authorities and claimed the reward, and the Demon Dog's owner instinctively believed that Isengard was the mastermind.

"So that's why your house is full of detectives, no wonder." Lu Ze understood the situation somewhat. "By the way, I have to remind you, that female detective inside, she's an Extraordinary."

"The female detective, you mean Kaslana?"

Klein nodded as if he had expected it. "As expected, she's from here too."

The proportion of extraordinary individuals among himself, Kaslana, and the detectives of Isengard Beckland is far too high.

"I see, Klein. Then..."

Just as he was muttering to himself, he heard Lu Ze continue speaking. Looking up, he saw a cold, sharp glint in the eyes of this Sequence 5 shepherd.

Lu Ze continued, "Then..."
"So, is that extraordinary person upstairs also a guest who has come to visit you?"

upstairs?

There's no one upstairs; the detectives who came are all in the living room.
Klein thought to himself, somewhat bewildered, but in the next moment, he suddenly understood something. A tingling chill ran down his spine and exploded on his scalp.

Has someone extraordinary person broken into my house?

Could it be that he is the owner of that demon dog?
"No! They're the enemy!"

Klein shouted immediately.

"boom!"

Almost simultaneously, gunshots rang out outside the living room, accompanied by terrified screams.

That guy made his move!

Klein and Luzer exchanged a glance and immediately rushed out of the living room.

They saw a detective being pinned to the ground by several others in the living room, the muzzle of his revolver still smoking, his face showing a blank expression. The extraordinary Kaslana stood before them, radiating an undeniable authority that seemed almost tangible, suppressing the panic in the crowd.

The ability to manipulate people's minds?
Lu Ze looked up, peering through the ceiling.

The shepherd's extraordinary abilities took effect, allowing him to sense multiple extraordinary auras within the room even before entering. The two downstairs auras belonged to Klein and the female detective, respectively, and were of lower spirituality. The aura upstairs was much stronger, indicating at least a Sequence 5 extraordinary being.

I never expected them to be so arrogant and crazy!
He seemed to sense that the person sitting in Klein's bedroom upstairs was also casting his cold and cruel gaze down at him.

"Snapped!"

The next second, the sound of glass shattering rang out crisply.

"crash"

Through the living room window, Lu Ze saw what was happening outside—shards of glass were flying and landing on the road outside the house, and along with the shards, a dark figure landed.

It's that person upstairs!
The person was completely covered in black, with only a pair of cold blue eyes exposed.

As he met his gaze, Lu Ze felt as if he were witnessing the embodiment of the most intense and extreme emotions and desires of living beings: anger, fear, hatred, greed, and lust. These emotions were thick and heavy, as if they were forcibly pressing into his chest.

Is the capability of Sequence 5 related to this?
"Ah."

He couldn't help but sneer.

Perfect timing! I don't know what the abilities of Sequence 5 of the Demon Path are yet. Let me catch a shepherd and give it a try.
Klein, standing nearby, simultaneously understood his thoughts and instinctively reached for the revolver at his waist. He too was ready to act, determined to nip this threat in the bud as soon as possible. Most importantly, he had a Sequence 5 Shepherd beside him!
They have a very good chance of winning!
However, just as the two were about to make their move, the dark figure gave them a cold and malicious look, then suddenly collapsed into a shadow and fled rapidly into the distance.

He ran away.

Malicious intent detected!

The "demon's" forte is the ability to sense danger to himself. The ruthless man upstairs, the instant Lu Ze harbored murderous intent, instinctively sensed the life-or-death crisis beyond his control and chose to retreat without hesitation!
We can't let him get away! Lu Ze hesitated for a moment, then immediately made a decision.

"boom!"

The astonished and bewildered crowd watched as a crimson fireball shattered the living room window and flew into the street. The next instant, the fireball exploded, and Lu Ze's figure appeared in the flames.

"Stay here, I'll go after him!"

Klein heard Luzer's voice coming from him, but before he could respond, Luzer's figure blurred again and flashed onto the fireball in front of him.

He pursued the fleeing Sequence 5 demon in this way!
"Detective Moriarty, what's going on?"

"Oh my god, fire!"

"How to do?"

Am I dreaming?

The detectives were in chaos, shocked by the series of strange events. Some screamed, while others instinctively asked Klein questions.

"this."

Faced with the detectives' questioning, Klein felt incredibly frustrated. Looking at his broken window, he didn't know what to say for a moment.

Meanwhile, on the street outside.

"boom!"

After the fifth fireball, Lu Ze still hadn't gotten any closer to the dark figure.

This guy is so fast!
He watched as the other person moved swiftly forward as a shadow, and suddenly an idea struck him. He also transformed into a shadow and slipped into the shadow world.

brush!
The scenery before him suddenly changed, a monotonous black and white world, a disjointed reflection of reality, with isolated "islands" appearing before him. Lu Ze saw that the dark figure was some distance in front of him.

His form is more pronounced here compared to the real world.

Want to compete with me in shadow play?

Lu Ze looked at the other person's back and activated his Shadow ability.

"Wow!"

Suddenly, a thick, dark liquid gushed from the island in front of the fleeing figure, blocking his path. The figure paused, turned to avoid it, and slowed down as a result.

Lu Ze took the opportunity to close the distance between the two.

"die!"

Before the other party could accelerate again, he opened his mouth, vibrated the air, and uttered a filthy and depraved sound in the mysterious ancient Hermes language.

Filthy language!

"what--"

The figure clutched its head and let out a piercing scream. Its form began to blur, as if unable to maintain its existence in the shadow world, and vanished with a whoosh.

Lu Ze then floated up and returned to reality.

"boom!"

With a flick of his right hand, a longsword burning with dark blue magma quickly materialized in his grasp.

The dark figure removed his hand from his head, his icy blue eyes looking at Lu Ze, seeing the sword in his hand, his blood-red robe, and his thick, dark shadow.

"shepherd?"

He said, his voice filled with fear and confusion.
