Chapter 287 You said, will something happen to the cat if it eats the potion?
13 Minsk Street, Joewood District.

This is the house Klein rents. In the rather large living room, a group of tense detectives are gathered together, anxiously sharing their experiences.

They all received hostile warnings of impending murder by a horrific criminal. This was not merely intimidation; in fact, several detectives had already fallen victim to it, including Eisinger Stanton, a renowned detective in Backlund.

"Mr. Moriarty, do you think Mr. Isengard can still be saved?"

"A detective asked with concern."

The other detectives also looked tense, staring at the young detective with a beard and gold-rimmed glasses.

The shocking serial murder case that gripped all of Backlund was solved thanks to Isengard and the detective Sherlock Moriarty. Now that one of the parties involved has disappeared, they instinctively rely on him.

"There's no need for anyone to worry."

Klein glanced around and said calmly, "The police already know the details of what happened, and I believe there will be results soon."

Actually, he had just come out of the police station not long ago.

Yesterday, Klein received an invitation from Isengard to visit him and assist him in solving the case. However, he unexpectedly encountered something horrific at Isengard's home. Isengard seemed to have fled, his assistant was murdered, and Klein, as a suspect, was questioned for a long time at the police station before being released.

Is it the owner of that demon dog taking revenge on us?

Based on what had happened at the time, Klein couldn't help but make a guess.

The problem is, besides him and Isengard, the person who actually killed the demon hound was Luzer. As for the detectives, they weren't of much help; they only helped Isengard gather some information in the early stages, but were then threatened with death by the demon hound's owner.

Did that guy take revenge on the wrong person?
Or is he a bully who preys on the weak?

wrong.

These detectives are mostly ordinary people. If the owner of that demon dog truly wanted revenge, why would he just send a threatening letter?
Or was he deliberately making a big fuss to attract attention?
Thinking this through, Klein looked up at the uneasy detectives, exchanged a glance with Kaslana, the extraordinary detective, and then spoke:

"The police did not find Detective Stanton's body, and based on my reasoning, he should still be alive."

How about some divination-style reasoning?
Klein muttered to himself.

"Dong dong."

As if to confirm his words, someone knocked on his door from the outside.

"Look, it might just be Mr. Isengard."

Klein chuckled, but his mind went on high alert, and his right hand reached for the revolver.

I have a doorbell, why do I need to knock?
He walked calmly to the door, but was wary inside, and grasped the doorknob.

brush!
The diviner's spirituality allowed him to predict the face of the person behind the door.

"Ok?"

Klein suddenly paused, taken aback.

His spiritual predictions failed him; all he could see was a red shadow, which seemed to be holding something.

What's this.
Is he the owner of that demon dog?

Klein was filled with doubt and unease.

"Dong dong."

The person behind the door knocked again.

"it's me."

The other person spoke, and the voice sounded somewhat familiar, which quickly led Klein to associate it with someone.

Lu Ze?

Klein cautiously opened the door. Sure enough, standing opposite him was his colleague and fellow countryman, Luzer Rondor. He wore a blood-red robe, his expression crazed and cold. Strangely, he was holding a small black cat in his arms, creating a bizarre contrast with his terrifying appearance.

"You have quite a few people in your family. Are you having some kind of party?"

Lu Ze had sensed the presence of extraordinary individuals inside the house before entering, but he hadn't expected there to be so many people inside.

"A party?" Hearing this, Klein couldn't help but give a wry smile. "I'm in big trouble now, and you still think I'm having fun?"

Even so, upon seeing the other person's face, he still subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief. After all, having a Sequence 5 by his side provided a significant sense of security.

"what happened?"

Lu Ze frowned and asked.

"Come in and we'll talk. No, let me confirm first, in case you're an imposter, that would be troublesome."

Klein initially wanted to let him in directly, but after thinking about it, he decided to exchange a code, so he lowered his voice and asked, "What is Rosanne's favorite thing to do, but which she can never stick to?"

"What kind of question is this?" Lu Ze thought for a moment and replied:
"lose weight."

"Yes."

Klein stepped aside to let him into his home.

The detectives all turned their gazes towards him, unable to resist scrutinizing him from head to toe. Firstly, his attire was indeed unusual, and secondly, he was carrying a small black cat. The kitten calmly faced their stares, as if it were the owner of the place.

"Mr. Moriarty, and who is this?"

One of the detectives couldn't help but ask.

"This is a friend I met in the East District, Kafka Anderson, his profession is, uh, doctor."

Klein hesitated for a moment before replying, "He came to see me about something. Please allow us to leave for a moment."

He suddenly realized the discrepancy between Lu Ze's current situation and what he knew about him.

As the Fool, he already knew about Cecilia's death and Luze's vow of revenge. But as Klein, his knowledge was limited to what he had seen and heard during his last visit to his home.

I need to be careful not to let anything slip, or I'll be in trouble if the Fool's disguise is exposed.
Klein led Luzer to the living room on the first floor, then looked curiously at the black cat in his arms and asked, "Did you come to see me for something?"

Then he saw that his colleague looked slightly embarrassed.

"Does the fortune teller's potion have any side effects?"

he asks.

"side effect?"

Klein was puzzled by the question, "No, why are you asking this?"

"Then do you think it would have an effect if animals ate the diviner's extraordinary characteristics?"

Lu Ze asked again.

The kitten in his arms was still licking its lips.

"."

Now Klein finally understood what Luzer was talking about.

Mr. Temperance, you've made the same mistake as Ms. Justice.
Although the situation wasn't quite right, he couldn't help but want to laugh. He tried to suppress it before saying, "As far as I know, animals can also fuse with potions and use extraordinary abilities. You don't need to worry too much. Judging from your cat's appearance, there shouldn't be any danger of it going out of control."

Does this guy know how to "divine"?

Lu Ze looked at the little black cat in his arms with some suspicion. The cat looked up and met his gaze with an expression of matter-of-fact acceptance.

"Lu Ze, is this the cat you adopted?"

Klein looked at the cat and asked curiously.

"Yeah, I found it on the street."

"What is your name?"

"Name? Not decided yet. How about Mimi?"

Lu Ze tried to come up with a name, but after saying it, he felt Klein give him a speechless look, so he quickly said, "Okay, let's not talk about the cat for now, what's wrong with you?"
