Chapter 255 Crisis
Upon hearing the words "Frost Dragon," Smaug showed a look of interest.

But he hesitated, saying, "But if I agree, my current master will find that he can immediately make me suffer the consequences of the oath..."

“This is not a problem! Don’t resist. I will now inject some of my power into your body to temporarily shield you from the effects of the oath. When we return to Mordor, I will completely remove the oath curse from you.”

As he spoke, the Frost Dragon approached Smaug, the iron crown rooted to its head radiating a powerful dark aura. The power of Sauron contained within it would be injected into Smaug the moment the Frost Dragon touched him.

But just as the frost dragon was about to approach Smaug, Smaug unleashed his strongest dragonfire, drenching the frost dragon in scorching flames, especially its head, which was engulfed in flames and turned into a burning dragon head.

Caught off guard, the frost dragon was instantly engulfed in the agonizing flames, its scales melting like ice and snow under the heat of the dragon's fire.

The iron crown rooted in the dragon's head was also affected by the dragon's flames and turned bright red.

The frost dragon suffered another severe blow, letting out a painful scream. As the dragon flames rapidly spread across its body, it could only endure the pain and quickly exhale cold air to extinguish the flames.

Then, with a furious and venomous look, he glared at Smaug, who had already flown far away: "Damn Smaug, how dare you fool me! I'll make you wish you were dead!"

Smaug flew back to Isengard without looking back, chuckling to the basilisk around his neck, "Looks like that Dark Lord isn't so smart after all, actually believing that? How stupid!"

The serpent monster Helpo on the neck seemed to nod in agreement, hissing as it did so.

Smaug seemed to understand it and agreed, "Exactly! I'm lying on a mountain of gold every day, eating and sleeping well, and I don't have to do anything. Who would be stupid enough to betray their master and go fight for a ghost that doesn't even have a physical body?"

When Smaug arrived outside Isengard, he unleashed a torrent of dragonfire directly at the Ringwraiths, dragons, and Saruman surrounding them.

Meanwhile, the basilisk Helbo on Smaug's head stares wide-eyed at everyone.

The two worked together seamlessly, and many dragons were either burned by Smaug's dragonfire or killed by Helbo's staring.

The giant eagle Saurondo also swooped down, crushing a dragon with its massive body, grabbing it, and tearing it apart with its sharp claws and beak.

In an instant, the dragons in the sky fell one after another, and the ground was piled with the corpses of the dragons.

Even some of the dragons ridden by the Ringwraiths were killed by the basilisks' stares, losing their mounts.

Smaug did not linger in battle. After a flurry of fire breaths, he plunged into the dome before the frost dragons could arrive.

The other fire dragons also plunged into the dome, keeping the other enemies outside.

The giant eagle, Zorondo, also grabbed another dragon and plunged into the dome.

The dragon suffered immense damage the moment it passed through the dome, its strength diminished, and then Zorondo swiftly pecked through its head and threw it to the ground.

"Master, are we not too late?" Smaug landed on the ground and asked Dui on the tower with a grin.

The basilisk Herpo, with its eyes closed, hissed and flicked its tongue as it spoke to Dui.

The giant eagle Zorondo circled around the tower, appearing guarded and wary of any enemies outside.

Dui looked at them, smiled, and shook his head. "No, you've come at the perfect time."

Then, with a smile, he asked, "Smaug, Sauron just promised to remove the oath from your body, so why didn't you agree? Don't you want to regain your freedom?"

Thanks to his enhanced hearing, he heard the entire conversation between the Frost Dragon and Smaug.

Smaug glanced cautiously at Duy, and only after confirming that he wasn't angry did he breathe a sigh of relief and quickly pledge his loyalty:
"Master, rest assured, I will never betray you! I eat well, sleep well, and have mountains of gold to lie on. I would be a fool to listen to Sauron and work myself to death for him! Not to mention, Master, you have a treasure that can turn stones into gold. You can have as much gold as you want in the future!"

With Dui's Legilimency talent, Smaug's thoughts were laid bare.

Dui rolled his eyes at him speechlessly, "I think the last sentence is the main reason."

This greedy, foolish dragon has no mind for anything other than gold and treasure.

Having his thoughts exposed, Smaug chuckled foolishly and joked, "Hehe, it's all the same, all the same! Anyway, I, Smaug, will never betray you, Master!"

After some banter with Smaug, the atmosphere inside the dome became a little more relaxed.

But before they could catch their breath, the enraged frost dragon spewed extreme cold air towards the dome, freezing it and spreading rapidly across the surface.

Saruman also chanted incantations, summoning lightning from the sky to strike directly at the dome.

The Ringwraiths, wielding the power of the Nine Rings of Man, unleashed dark forces to attack the dome.

Under such a combined and intense attack, the dome shattered like ice, revealing cracks in its surface.

Even with Dui's best efforts, he still couldn't prevent the dome from developing more and more cracks.

Finally, the dome shattered, breaking into pieces that fell and dissipated.

"Duir, hand over the gem you crafted!" The frost dragon's gaze locked onto Duir, its eyes filled with greed and determination.

“I know you have teleportation magic, but don’t even think about running away or asking for help. Right now, not only are Gondor and Rohan under attack, but my army is also harassing the elven territories of Lorien and the Valley. They have no time to come to your rescue.”

Dui was also shocked to hear that Valley and Lorien had also been attacked.

But Duy quickly calmed down. With Galadriel and Celeborn in Lore, and Elrond and Glorfindel in the Valley, there was no need to worry about anything going wrong even if Sauron sent troops to attack.

However, thinking of how meticulously Sauron had planned to obtain the Philosopher's Stone, Dui's heart sank.

He looked at the frost dragon, took out the magic stone, shook it, and a smirk appeared on his lips: "Sauron, you want to use the magic stone to restore your physical body?"

The frost dragon's eyes blazed with greed as it saw the magic stone in Dui's hand. "Since you guessed it, hand it over obediently. For the sake of the magic stone, I might spare your life!"

Under the greedy gaze of the Frost Dragon, Dui cast a Portkey Charm on the Philosopher's Stone, and the Philosopher's Stone suddenly disappeared from Dui's hand.

The frost dragon was immediately alarmed and enraged: "Where did it go? Where did you take it?"

Dui didn't answer him, and immediately launched an attack. "Avada Kedavra!"

The Frost Dragon reacted swiftly, spewing out icy breath that instantly formed an ice wall, blocking the Killing Curse.

The ice wall collided with the Killing Curse and was instantly blasted to pieces.

"Duir, you have successfully angered me! I originally admired you greatly and was prepared to make you my most trusted person, but now I have changed my mind. I will kill you, imprison your soul, and let it suffer the burning of hellfire forever!"

The frost dragon angrily spewed extreme cold air at Dui.

Dui swiftly used Phantom Strike to dodge the icy attack, and the next second he appeared on the back of a demonic dragon, a flaming sword instantly appearing in his hand. He then forcefully slashed at the dragon's slender neck.

The flaming sword was incredibly sharp, cutting through the dragon's neck as easily as slicing tofu.

The wind blades and scorching flames released by the sword cut deeper into the dragon's neck, leaving charred marks.

The dragon let out a painful wail, its neck snapped in two, and it plummeted from the sky.

In the instant before he fell, Dui disappeared from the back of one dragon and reappeared on the back of another.

However, before he could kill the demonic dragon, the frost dragon directly spewed cold air at him.

Dui took a deep breath, and the Ring of Power instantly formed a shield to block the attack of the cold air. Before he was frozen to death, he quickly used Apparition to leave.

The unfortunate dragon, instead of dying at Dui's hands, was frozen into an ice block and smashed down.

The next second, Dui appeared on the back of the Frost Dragon. Before he could make a move, the Frost Dragon flipped over in mid-air and appeared below Dui, biting at him.

In the split second before being bitten, Dui Apparated and disappeared again, reappearing directly on the ground...

While Dui was dealing with the Frost Dragon, Smaug was also entangled in a battle with Saruman. With the help of the basilisk on Smaug's body, Saruman dared not open his eyes, and for a time Smaug and Helbo gained the upper hand.

Meanwhile, the giant eagle Saurondo, the griffin Aslan, the three-headed wolf Cerberus, and other fire dragons fought against the Ringwraiths and the dragons.

The giant eagle, Zorondo, now has a wingspan of fifty meters and is even larger than the dragons. It can easily deal with these dragons that cannot breathe fire and can relentlessly chase them down from the sky.

The griffin Aslan, with its agile flight abilities, was responsible for interference, moving nimbly between the dragons and the Ringwraiths.

Cerberus, the three-headed wolf, spews scorching flames and venom as he battles the Ringwraiths who have lost their mount.

In an instant, Eisengard became a battlefield.

The Frost Dragon was incredibly powerful, and Dui was unable to confront it head-on, so he could only resort to using Apparition to entangle with it.

Furthermore, they must guard against attacks from the Ringwraiths.

Under the relentless onslaught of the Frost Dragon's chilling aura, the entire city of Essengard was plunged into a deep winter, with Orsankta frozen solid.

The surrounding temperature plummeted to below zero.

Just then, a sound like an eagle and a horse came from afar.

It turned out that the people of the Black Barbarian Lands had returned riding winged beasts with eagle heads and horse bodies.

Among them was King Sengar of Rohan.

When they saw the intense situation in Eisengard, both the Black Barbarians and the Rohans gasped.

They doubted whether they were qualified to participate in such a war.

But no matter how they thought about it, now that they were here, they couldn't back down.

They immediately opened the spatial box and released the Black Barbarian warriors and Rohan cavalry inside.

Dui looked back at the Black Barbarians and Rohan cavalry, and frowned in surprise.

How did they get back so quickly? And with the Rohan cavalry?

The appearance of these people did not please Dui; on the contrary, it made him feel uneasy.

Aren't these people just here to be cannon fodder?

"For Eisengard! For Lord Duir!" came the roar of Brog, the leader of the Black Barbarians.

The warriors of the Black Barbarians fired arrows at the Frost Dragon, Saruman, the Ringwraiths, and the dragon.

But these densely packed arrows, when they landed on the dragon, wouldn't even scratch its hard scales, let alone penetrate them.

As for Saruman and the Ringwraiths, needless to say.

This result not only failed to harm the enemy, but also drew the attention of the Frost Dragon.

The frost dragon revealed a contemptuous and disdainful look, as if it had seen a swarm of ants, and directly breathed a blast of cold air at the Black Barbarian warriors and Rohan cavalry.

I just considered it as casually cleaning up some annoying ants.

As the cold, terrifying chill swept over them, the Black Barbarians and Rohans revealed expressions of fear and despair.

But the next second, Dui's figure instantly appeared in front of them, raising his hand to release a huge barrier that blocked the onslaught of cold air.

Although Dui's protective barrier blocked the cold air, everyone still felt the biting chill.
