Chapter 173, 4417, Ina, TOZ81
Chapter 173, 4417, Ina, TOZ-81
"Five, four, three, two, one."
In the animation, the commander subconsciously glanced at the logistics android named 4417 beside him, who was sitting upright, holding the old "Mars" pistol tightly in both hands, her small face tense, trying to make herself look as calm as the tactical androids around her.
"Commander."
She suddenly spoke, her voice sounding somewhat ethereal amidst the roar of the engine.
Did you know that the design of this landing module is inherited from the return capsule structure of the Soyuz TMA manned spacecraft from a century ago?
The camera pans out after that sentence.
It cut outside.
Outside the porthole, the azure Earth and the silvery lunar ring instantly transformed into elongated shadows.
Then, the view suddenly opened up, and countless identical landing pods, like steel nails thrown by a giant hand, converged into a dense torrent of metal, surging from all directions toward the planet below that was occupied by androids.
The exquisite painting made Hu Wenguang feel a chill run down his spine just by looking at the screen.
The roar of the engine gradually subsided, replaced by a feeling of weightlessness.
The landing module entered its predetermined orbit and began the inertial intrusion phase, with only the low hum of the equipment operating inside.
4417 seemed to have recovered as well. She leaned closer to the porthole and looked at the planet outside that was gradually growing larger. There was no fear in her eyes, but rather a kind of fanatical light.
"It's so beautiful..." she whispered. "Is this the Soviet Union that Papa talked about?"
Dad
It's not a person's name, but the Russian word for father.
The plot doesn't unfold here, but the foreshadowing in the preceding parts is enough for players to grasp some details, such as 4417 being raised like a daughter by a Russian engineer.
Secondly, the Russian engineer told her many stories about the Soviet Union.

The latter half of the game's story features classic combat sequences. While the combat feels somewhat like a "standardized blockbuster," it's still quite good overall.
The plot then shifts to "I don't know where I am, but I'm going to wipe everything out..."
In this part of the gameplay, the game also added a pseudo-online mode.
So Hu Wen quickly got hooked and, following the gameplay, "safely and without major incident" defeated the final boss.
The battle ended, and the smoke cleared.
This time, the main storyline of version 1.2 has come to a complete end.
The battle began at dusk and ended at night.
The commander stood atop the ruins of the factory's command tower. In the sky, a bright moon hung high above, surrounded by a halo visible to the naked eye.
That was the "jade plate" he had just left.
The camera followed the commander's footsteps to a corner where a small figure stood.
The commander's footsteps were very light, but she still noticed them. He stopped a few steps behind her without saying a word. Silence spread between them, blending into the stillness of the ruins.
The girl buried a pocket watch in the ground.
“Papa, we did it.”
Her voice was very soft, as if she were confiding in someone, or as if she were talking to herself.
"One day I will return. At that time, humanity will rebuild this place. This is where humanity's dreams took flight. This is... Baikonur."
After saying that, she slowly turned around and raised her head.
Hu Wen then noticed that her face was covered in tears, mixed with dust from the battle.
This short scene, however, conveys a powerful emotional impact. Many stories are like this; they don't need much description, like 4417.
Her only relative, the source of all her stories, was gone. Hu Wen's empathy for the lost loved one quickly made him feel fond of this girl.
"Commander."
"My mission... is complete, thank you... for bringing me here."
"Now, you can have this gun back."
She reached out her hand, seemingly wanting to hand over the TOZ-81.
Hu Wen stared at the screen, his heart clenching. Although, according to the plot, this girl's story should end here, and ending here was indeed a kind of "conclusion."
But Hu Wen still felt a little awkward, and just as he was feeling awkward, an option appeared.
Hu Wen clicked the button without hesitation.
With the option confirmed, the commander reached out and pointed to the pistol in her arms.
"It's yours now, TOZ-81."
4417 paused for a moment, glanced down at the gun in his hand, then looked up at the commander's eyes, which were still bright in the darkness.
A new tear falls, but this time, it washes away the old tear stains, as well as the confusion and emptiness.
"Yes, Commander! Ina... no! TOZ-81 is reporting for duty!"
The commander smiled.
"So, your name is Ina?"
~~~
After that sentence, the camera switches to a wide shot.
Hu Wen let out a long sigh and leaned back in his gaming chair.
On the screen, the girl named Ina—no, now called TOZ-81—stood up straight, her small frame erect, like a real soldier.
She stopped crying, simply wiping her face haphazardly with the back of her hand, mixing the dust and tear stains to make herself look like a big, messy cat, before taking firm steps to catch up with the commander.
This feels really good.
4417, Ina, TOZ-81
The three titles correspond to the girl's changing roles in the Moon Ring, in front of her own father, and in front of the Commander.
"That's pretty impressive..."
Hu Wen's lips unconsciously curled into a smile. This 1.2 version had given him three surprises: the first five seconds, Ina in the second half, and the orbital combat.
Compared to simply defeating a difficult boss, the sense of accomplishment from personally changing a character's fate is a hundred times stronger.
The TOZ-81 really does have a bit of a daughter-like feel to it.
Is this a pistol-wielding character? Hopefully, their support abilities will be strong.
My mind was wandering to random thoughts when the game started playing a PowerPoint presentation. This is a standard procedure after the main storyline of Final Frontiers concludes, from version 1.0 to 1.1, and then to 1.2.
Hu Wen was already used to it.
After the other androids finished cleaning up the battlefield, they quickly surrounded the commander. The mascot 95 and AK-47 came to the commander's side again.
A slightly sarcastic comment came from AK-47.
"Are we going to have to add extra beds in our dorm room again?"
The commander glanced at her, tapped her on the head, then waved and began the withdrawal.
In a fixed shot, the commander and the humanoid figure under the moonlight walk further and further away, their shadows stretching long among the ruins, gradually merging into the darkness.
Hu Wen admired the cinematic composition and felt very relaxed.
"Commander, why is it called Jade Plate?"
As they left, a humanoid figure raised its finger and pointed to the sky.
The tone is like casual conversation, a common technique used at the end of films like *Final Front*, where the protagonist walks further and further away as they chat until the credits roll.
