From the God of Lies to the Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 88 The Second Fragment of Godhood

Chapter 88 The Second Fragment of Godhood

As Pope Mario flew across the Atlantic, the nobles of Los Angeles sought an audience with the "Saintess," the Mayan remnants of San Diego searched for sacrificial relics, and New York agents investigated the escalating "werewolf plague," Poplar, relying on the well-developed transportation networks of Europe, arrived in the northern part of this continent.

In Bai Yang's perception, the second and third fragments of divine essence were both located on the vast world island of Asia, Europe, and Africa.

The only difference is that one is in the south and the other in the north.

The one in the south is too far away and there is almost no news from him; he seems to be in hiding, so Bai Yang doesn't need to pay attention to him for the time being.

If he can't sense it, then it's even less likely that other deities can.

Bai Yang initially suspected that the fragment in the south might have completely lost its divine attributes and become a crystal with only the attribute of "existence".

However, the information he received from this fragment of divine essence in the north was quite complete and significant, almost identical to the fragment that Caroline was wearing on her chest. This meant that... this fragment of divine essence should also be enshrined.
This made Bai Yang very curious: which devout believer on this continent had recharged their divine power?
Or is it that deities truly possess such special magic that they can be recognized at a glance and taken home for worship?

Bai Yang was very interested, so he headed further north.

……

Even in the springtime of May, many cities in Sweden still feel bitterly cold.

This is, after all, Northern Europe, at a relatively high latitude, close to the Arctic Ocean, and it won't truly warm up until June—of course, all of this has little to do with Percival Nelson.

He pulled his high-necked trench coat tighter, trying to cover his face and block the cold wind.

Of course, this was mostly to cover his face so that others wouldn't know he had just come from a cheap food store.

For Swedes who have always lived a life of luxury, this is something they find extremely unbearable and would consider shameful.

But looking at his compatriots in similar situations, Percival sighed with difficulty, "Alas... how did our country become like this?"

This is the outskirts of the city, where people like them, the "local poor," live.

In Sweden, where welfare is high and various subsidies and allowances are abundant, there shouldn't be such a thing as "poor people." But now, not only does this term exist, it even seems quite normal.

After all, the government needs to give money to those starving refugees!

"Ha!" Percival sneered at this thought. The reason they had ended up in this state was all thanks to those refugees.
Those subsidies and welfare payments are clearly meant for the government to give to its citizens, but now they have become welfare for refugees!

The refugees moved into the city, while they went to the suburbs. The refugees received free support, but they still had to pay for it themselves.

Moreover, in order to better subsidize refugees, those politicians are raising taxes, making the already overburdened nation even poorer and more miserable...

Percival stopped thinking about it, picked up his things, got into his car, and after making sure the windows weren't smashed, carefully made his way through a chaotic block towards his home.

Although he cursed the government and the refugees both verbally and in his heart, as the head of the household, he still had to rely on his meager salary and work diligently to support his family.

"Beep beep!" After two honks, Percival stopped the car in the garage and went to the trunk to get his things—but as everything was taken out, he still didn't hear the familiar voice!
This made Percival's heart jump!
He has two daughters at home. Whenever he comes back from shopping, as long as he honks the horn, his daughters will happily run out to help him carry the things.

But now, he's been in the garage for five minutes already, so why haven't his two children come out yet?
Percival felt a chill run down his spine and immediately returned to his driver's seat, grabbing his pistol—he was a licensed gunman, and this gun was his and his family's safety guarantee!

Holding a gun, Percival pushed open the garage door and cautiously entered his house. The wide-open door and the messy room made Percival tremble violently... "This... how could this be..." He gritted his teeth, feeling an overwhelming sense of sorrow welling up inside him.

He had heard before that some refugees and gang members would commit home invasion robberies, but he never expected that such a thing would happen to him so quickly!
There were only three women in his family, and the city of Malmö where they lived was notorious for rape and robbery!
If anything were to happen to the three women in his family, Percival wouldn't know what the point of his life would be...

"Squeak!" The old wooden door made a screeching sound as Percival rushed in, gun in hand, aiming at the "person" in front of him!
Someone did enter his home, and it was a very strong African American man.

But now, the man is frozen in place by the white frost, turning into a lifelike ice sculpture!

This shocked Percival. He stared at the man's hand, which had just touched a piece of icy blue crystal.

Percival recognized the crystal; it was something he had brought back more than two weeks ago—a "meteorite" that had fallen from the sky, crossed an iceberg, and arrived in front of him.

His wife stubbornly believed that the "meteorite" was a gift from Odin, and she placed it in this room for daily sacrifices, offerings, and prayers.

Although this action seemed strange in a country where most people are Christian, Percival didn't think it was a big deal. After all, the authorities hadn't said that one couldn't believe in the Norse gods or worship Odin, had they?

But now it seems that his wife, who is usually a bit crazy, was actually right?
Is this truly a "gift from Odin"?
"Dad?" Just then, a familiar voice pulled Percival out of his endless thoughts.

Percival turned his head and looked into the room, where he saw his youngest daughter slowly walking out, followed by two women, one older and one younger, his wife and eldest daughter.

"You're all alright? That's great! If anything had happened to you, I don't know how I would have survived!" Percival said with a sigh of relief, hugging his family.

Fortunately, it wasn't the worst outcome he had feared; it was just a false alarm.

After the family of four embraced each other, easing their tension and anxiety, Percival finally asked his wife, "Honey, what happened? Can you tell me?"

"Hmph! He's lucky he was frozen as soon as he came in, otherwise I would have cracked his skull open with my axe!" the woman said loudly, revealing her chiseled muscles.

Percival's wife was named Freissa Carlson, a very authentic Scandinavian woman. When she wore a dress, she was just an ordinary housewife, but when she took off her dress, she was the head of the Viking Island Performance Troupe!

“That’s true…” Percival nodded. He had been so concerned that he hadn’t realized what was happening.

His wife was no innocent girl; she used to be a tough woman who wore armor, wielded a battle axe, and performed Viking war dances on stage!
Although she is currently mentally unstable, her body is still very strong.

"Wow! Mom is so amazing!" The little girl's voice reached their ears, bringing a knowing smile to the two adults.

Beside them, Bai Yang touched the ice, his face full of astonishment. "Wow... a natural-born psychic? In our world, can there be such extraordinary talent?"

“Your Majesty, this is not extraordinary talent, but merely ordinary talent!” Alvin said. “What is truly extraordinary is your power! After you gradually added divine power to your godhood, the power of lies has already acquired the extraordinary power to spread!”

Bai Yang nodded, gazing at the blue crystal. "Under our influence, the world's progress toward transcendence has accelerated, which is why this 'fragment of divinity' has acquired some special powers!"

"Great, I like this kind of initiative!"

P.S.: It's time for our favorite Norse mythology segment again (laughs). Of course, as everyone knows, Marvel's Asgard is quite different from the mythological Asgard, but mine is also quite different from the mythological Asgard (laughs).
