Chapter 44: How about getting a few bullets back?
The news that a sharpshooter had emerged from this year's new recruits quickly spread throughout the camp.

Before lights out at night, instructor Huang Jiabo even came to visit Li Dongshui.

"Excellent! Excellent! A hero emerges from among the young!"

The entire class lined up neatly. Liu Guoping and Luo Shan smiled broadly, while Huang Jiabo patted Li Dongshui on the shoulder and praised him.

"How could that be? He's just a little worse than Li Dongshui in the rings."

"You call a difference of more than 80 rings just a few rings, right?" Luo Shan appeared out of nowhere.

Luo Shan flipped the blade over. "This is a designer-signed Spirit Bird Claw Knife. It's practically impossible to buy it in China right now. This Old Wang's got some serious stuff!"

Xu Ge didn't really know much about the different types of claw knives; he just knew he hadn't overpaid for this one.

Now that they had the knife, Luo Shan let Kaiyoumu practice on his own for a while, while he brought Xu Ge aside to teach him knife skills.

Luo Shan was both surprised and delighted to learn some basic moves, as Xu Ge mastered them in no time. What an insightful kid!

Little did Luo Shan know that as he taught Xu Ge, Xu Ge's Claw Knife Technique skill level kept increasing. It was also the first time Xu Ge had realized that when the person whose skill was being extracted was personally teaching him, the skill leveling speed was quite fast, at least much faster than practicing on his own.

In less than half an hour, Xu Ge's Claw Knife Technique gained three skill points.

The sentries at the camp gate had already come out of their posts with guns, ready to stop the approaching vehicle.

Xu Ge felt the car looked familiar as it drew closer, and only realized it when he saw the driver's face. He exclaimed, "Platoon leader, this is the car that brought us back last time!"

Luo Shan recognized him and quickly signaled to the sentry not to be nervous, as the newcomer was from his hometown.

The truck stopped at the camp gate, the door opened, and Old Wei got out happily, holding a brocade banner.

"Woof woof!"

Immediately afterwards, a white dog led four furry little creatures off the car.
